i put together furniture tonight, a shelf, and i felt bad about the mass production of furniture and cheap materials and knew i couldnt afford sustainable furniture let alone wood but knew i could have put in the effort to find scrap wood but dont have the time because i have to work to afford the schooling that will earn me a degree that will get me nowhere, and i paused after i was done and sat on a cheap wheely shelf i had picked up at goodwill for 5 dollars, which i felt good about because even if its temporary to me its better than buying something new and maybe if i redonate it someone else will do the same, and i sat and i looked at my tv stand from the midaughts designed with large, several dozen pound tvs in mind, upon which my small flatscreen tv that was purchased on clearance from amazon about 5 years ago and has stopped working so well because of the amount of software updates and ads it tries to load, and i looked at that tv stand and it occured to me that it came in pieces, as had my shelf, and someone, probably my stepdad from whom i acquired said stand, assembled it and he was excited as i was about my shelf and was excited about the things he would put in it and how it would make his room his space nicer and how much more enjoyable it would be and how i felt connected to every person who has only wanted their space and lives to be a little more pleasant, and how furniture is put together with the hope of things being better and yet all this time spent putting it together and thinking, i felt immense guilt over the waste of it all

dogs reaaally have it all figured out. to be born a feral beast, to humans, with behavior complex beyond our understanding and to be bred by choice into a docile yet noncompliant nature and be spoonfed and loved. we domesticate ourselves the same way yet we beat each other with invisible clubs when we piss on the floor. for dogs anything after that is just damage control and big cute eyes. eyebrows to them is life, or death on the streets. for us theyre things that need groomed in ways complex beyond comprehension because we're guessing what will work for others to want to domesticate us. at least wolves were born desirable

im sorry but the only thing i hate worse than a “creepy kid” in a movie (i have to stare at some random ass kid going 👁️👁️, the least scary and dumbest thing ever) is a character who is nonstop “GOD WILLS IT” like please do we not get enough of this in real life... like im not saying i hate when this exists but i hate when in a show it’s not the focus of the plot like religion or anything, theres just some character whos changing everyones minds yelling about god and shit like can we not do something else, its predictable, frustrating, uninteresting, and annoying as fuck
