First of all since when did something having it worse makes your pain invalid ? Second of all BECAUSE someone is having it worse I should have it way better and in fact not complain but the fact that i am complaining DOES mean that i don't have it THAT much better. Third of all, why do you mention someone having it worse to shut valid criticism to a system that thrives off everyone's labor for little rewards ? Like you realize you are also a fucking victim right ? You realize a single car accident could ruin your fucking life that you built so magnificiently for years. Over a single pothole ?

Capitalism is the root of all evil and sibce it's birth only the rich have ever defended it.

Like for fuck sake guys. 40 hours a week is because we fought for it. It's illegal to employ minors because people fought for it.

If the gouvernement could make a fucking baby shovel dirt in the mine it fucking would. Inteas they make it super expensive to even have one.

I know I don't shut up about this but frankly not enough people are angry about the 5-day/40 hour workweek (and I am AWARE a lot of people work even more than that). I feel like a lot more people should be absolutely furious that we only really have two days a week and some occasional hours in the evening to socialise, run errands, do chores, or relax.

It's no wonder so many people are profoundly lonely and disconnected from their communities when maintaining a social life in what little free time we have is incredibly difficult. If you have kids, a second job, a very long commute, or other responsibilities, it's nearly impossible.

We literally aren't meant to live like this and I'll never stop being shocked how many people just take it as the natural state of things and don't want to throw a brick through a billionaire's window every time they think of it.

I think out of the whole D-Squad currently, Kiyo's base design is definitely the most unique, both in appearance (he actually fits the cyber theming of the whole world a bit) and in lore

Mild spoilers for Starborne stuff below:

Truth to be told, everyone has different "defaults" for each season. The only reason I'm giving them these specific designs now is so I have something for artfight, and I'm technically classifying it as their "pilot" designs (technically, Kiyo and Husky don't have those bc they aren't immediate unless we skip all the teambuilding and hop right into the INTEA season)

But I also envision each design to be the characters' "Defaults" for different seasons

So, for example, Astrea's current design is her main appearance in season 1, except for the cyan hair maybe. Allister's current design is his appearance in season 2- hell, his first season design is a lot less whore tbh, a lot more simple and playful

Ashe's and Leo's, I haven't decided. Leo has a high chance of staying stagnant throughout all the seasons leading up to the INTEA season.

Viktor's design, atm, is his true debut style for season 2 when he first appears. In the future as he becomes more incorporated with the Strays, he'll gain a bit more of a style to reflect that while also still keeping true to who he is (I can't wait to one day figure that out)

And then we have Kiyo.

The biggest/main reason I'm really including Kiyo in all of this is because he's a dire, pivotal character and antagonist during the INTEA season, which is what everything in Starborne has been leading up to. But because of that, he makes literally no substantial appearance at all. Hell, maybe a teaser of his character appears in the last episode of the pre-INTEA season

But his default outfit rn isn't really much of anything, especially since I took away most of the armor features on his outfit to "default" it down

But like

Too casual for important meetings or missions

Too non-casual for just going out and hanging around the public

I think the best way I could currently describe his outfit is walking down the INTEA central base during a day off or smth

If he ever even did have a day off

I'm honestly hella conflicted about everything having to do with the seasons as a whole, especially with the INTEA season being, like. the BIG kahuna

That's the flagship season. The one everyone tells their friends about when talking abt the show. At least, I want it to be, given how big it is

But at the same time, the point of the INTEA season is that everything with everyone has been established. Husky's already joined the Strays, most people have their relationships or are almost in them (emphasis on MOST), Layla and Ivory's posse is established, Milleuise Tech, Dulasiine, couple power plateaus broken, all of that.

All of that has to come before INTEA, but it also has to be shown that way the audience is attached and wants to hear abt it. An audience won't stay invested if they hear "oh this and this and this and this and this" happened, it doesn't flow naturally trying to stuff all that exposition and background in the beginning of one season, nor does putting in all these coincidences really help either issue. Just feels like plot armor kinda

All these gentlemen were drawn as part of the Gondolin Gang series for intea (my deep gratitude for this opportunity and inspiration ♥). Of course I will draw the remaining two, but now I want to show the finished ones 😃

I tried to draw different but stylistically similar and simple outfits, hairstyles and faces, so that one could believe that they live at the same time and in the same place, being in an everyday (medieval) environment - most of them had small bags for small things and clothes whose fit is regulated by a belt and not by patterns.

Egalmot got the most complex background - there's a cat there, did you see it? 🐈
