In KBS2's 'Walking Into the Fantastic', which aired on the 22nd, various star families were drawn to go on a family trip.

on SEPTEMBER 7, everyone from LGC GIRLS SUMMER, TYPE ZERO, and V&A are called to a meeting with KIM HYUNCHEOL. there is another staff member standing right next to hyuncheol and he lets the woman call out each individual’s name to hand them a packet containing all of the necessary information.

“i know all of you are busy with your own projects so i’ll do my best to make this as quick as possible. first thing is that i request all of you to open the folder and look through the first few pages.” hyuncheol explains while knowing that each group had their own set of schedules.

LGC GIRLS SUMMER

while the company continues to release more content about the show, it is noted that they will have to spend additional time working on their performances since all of them will be performing the following songs during this year’s family concert.

TIKI TAKA - BAEK HANNA, KOIZUMI TSUKI, LEE YEJIN, MIN SOYOUN, MOON SOMIN

on SEPTEMBER 25, all of the girls except YUMI will be at the GOCHEOK SKY DOME early in the morning for rehearsals ( individuals who are participating in the special stages will be practicing there the day before as well ). during the concert, whenever the girls are not performing on stage, they will be in one of the backstage rooms watching the performances with the rest of the lgc girls summer.

TYPE ZERO AND V&A

( important note: because type zero and v&a’s missions aren’t due until SEPTEMBER 18, everything mentioned below is mostly to give everyone a sense of the timeline and ic reference. )

type zero will finish their music performances on the week of SEPTEMBER 12-18. during this time, they are required to continue practicing their title track song, “ONE (MONSTER & INFINITY)” along with “RESONANCE”, which they will practice with v&a. both type zero and v&a are also supposed to learn, practice, and record the following song, “GENIUS”, which will be one of their special stages for the LGC FAMILY CONCERT.

as for v&a, because their debut is coming soon, they will continue to practice all of their songs especially “HIGHER” ( VERSUS ), “BLUE HOUR” ( AGITO ), “RESONANCE” ( TYPE ZERO AND V&A ) since those will be the songs that they will perform in the lgc family concert. like type zero, they will be working on “GENIUS” ( SPECIAL STAGE ) as well. after the lgc family concert, v&a will release their songs on SEPTEMBER 27 and start their music promotions. 

( ooc note: since the trimester change won’t be until october, please assume that v&a will be attending music shows for the next couple of days until the upcoming trimester update! )

for the LGC FAMILY CONCERT, the order of the songs will be:

HIGHER - V&A (VERSUS)

BLUE HOUR - V&A (AGITO)

ONE (MONSTER & INFINITY) - TYPE ZERO

RESONANCE - V&A AND TYPE ZERO

during RESONANCE, there will be an introduction before the performance ( for a general idea, please refer to this video from 0:00-2:18 ). each member from type zero and v&a will form a circle and the camera will pan towards one individual at a time, followed by a line that connects the pair together. the sequence will be based on who joined legacy the latest to the earliest. for reference, that order will be:

JAESUN will complete the order and the group will stand still as the instrumental is played. right after that, all of the lights will dim and it’ll transition to resonance playing.

during GENIUS, there will be photos and clips of the type zero and v&a members displayed on the screen for all of the fans to see. it’ll start off with their baby photos and gradually transition to their various appearances ( eg. variety shows, vlive shows, modeling gigs, etc. ) and behind the scenes ( eg. debut preparations ). at some point in the song, there will be a segment when the screen will switch to video messages and letters that were sent by their loved ones as a surprise to them. type zero and v&a members will be encouraged to turn around to look at them while singing the rest of the song.

on SEPTEMBER 25, all of the members will be at the GOCHEOK SKY DOME early in the morning for rehearsals ( individuals who are participating in the special stages will be practicing there the day before as well ). whenever one group/unit isn’t performing, they will be in one of the backstage rooms with the rest of v&a and type zero to watch the performances.

SPECIAL STAGES

before the meeting ends, the staff member calls AHN JAEHWA, AHN JAESUN, GEUM DANBI, GONG HYEJOO, JI HANEUL, KOIZUMI TSUKI, LEE YUSHIN, MIN SOYOUN, OH EUNHYE, OKAMOTO AKIRA, SEO YURA and tells them to stay in the meantime. the rest of them leave the meeting room along with hyuncheol, who has other matters to attend to.

“with the help of the coaches, we’ve selected all of you to be a part of our special stages. in the past, we usually had vocal, dance, and rap stages to showcase our artists and exceptionally talented trainees. this time around, because v&a and type zero will be our final performances, we’ve decided to include some of the lgc girls and trainees to be a part of these collaboration stages. with the way this concert is arranged, we’ve split the three stages based on the three recurring themes — past, present, and future.” the staff member regurgitates the information that was discussed with the other higher ups.

VOCAL STAGE ( AHN JAEHWA, GONG HYEJOO, JI HANEUL ): all of them will be performing “FALL AWAY” along with KANG WOOHEE, KIM HYUNBIN, and LEE SHINHAE. the vocal stage will be the first performance and during the PAST phase.

DANCE STAGE ( KYO MIYEON, MIN SOYOUN, SEO YURA ): all of them will be dancing to “CLOSER” along with KIM JAEHYUK, PARK HAEMI, and SEO HANEUL. the dance stage will be performed during the PRESENT phase.

RAP STAGE ( AHN JAESUN, GEUM DANBI, KOIZUMI TSUKI, LEE YUSHIN, OH EUNHYE, OKAMOTO AKIRA ): all of them will be performing “ALL IN” along with the original artist, YP. the rap stage will be performed during the FUTURE phase.

because the stages are co-ed, all of them will be participating separately in their groups ( so the girls will be practicing together while the type zero and v&a members will be practicing together ). it isn’t until FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 24 and SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 25 when they will be practicing all together ( including the senior artists ).

when the woman is done explaining all of the details to them, she gives them a warning that even though this is one of the few instances when legacy has allowed co-ed performances to happen, everyone is expected to be professional and follow the usual rules.

REQUIREMENTS

unlike our typical events, the requirements for this one will be done differently to give the muns a break from doing event threads. you are not required to make the threads related to the family concert ( preparations, rehearsals, etc. ), but if you choose to do that, please use the hashtag lgc:familycon2k21 for anything related to that topic. there are two ways to fulfill the writing requirements so choose ONE.

2 THREADS with two different partners ( they must be people that you have NOT had a thread with and can be anyone who belongs in LGC GIRLS SUMMER, TYPE ZERO, or V&A ). each thread should have 6 REPLIES ( 3 per mun; minimum 8 lines ) in total.

December Wrap Up

Wow. It has been a whole twelve months since we have started this blog and now we are on the final, official post of the year! A mega-post compiling the top songs of the past year, as well as official departures and disbandments of groups from 2019, will be up on our main blog @kpopsunbae​ (make sure to go and follow us there for more content, although it will be quite a bit different than what we put on this blog). 

As some of you may know, this blog (as well as the previous one, @kpopotd​) are project blogs that end once the year is done. This means that while we will no longer post on this blog it will remain as an archive. We will however be back with a third blog in the future as a continuation of this blog (it will cover 2016 and onwards!). This does not mean that we will go completely off grid once 2019 is done though! 

This coming year of 2020 has a lot in store for us, your K-Pop Sunbaes! We currently have a website to overhaul, an Instagram to properly launch, and of course we will continue releasing podcast episodes! Remember to follow us on Twitter too, our handle there is @kpopsunbaes (updates will be on there and you can interact with us too!). 

On a final note, we are so appreciative for the love that you all have given this blog over the past year. It has been such a fun experience and the three of us have had a blast working together on the blog, having meetings, and eventually completing just under 900 posts. December 12, 2011: An incident occurs where a Chinese fisherman, who was illegally fishing, is confronted by two SK coast guards. He stabbed them and one died from the injuries. The fisherman was sentenced to thirty years in jail and a fine in April of 2012. December 19, 2012: The 2012 presidential elections were held in which Park Geun Hye is elected as the first female president of South Korea. She would eventually be impeached and removed from office due to corruption in 2017.

December 2009: Father’s House (This show was a year end special that brought in over 15% viewership ratings and garnered generally good reviews. It stars Choi Min Soo, Moon Jung Hee, and Kim Soo Hyun.)  December 2009: Will it Snow for Christmas (This melodrama brought in around 10% viewership ratings. It stars Go Soo and Han Ye Seul.)

December 2010: Athena: Goddess of War (This action/spy drama is a spin off of the hit show IRIS. It’s in the same universe as IRIS, but stars Joo Woo Sung, Cha Seung Won, Soo Ae, Lee Ji Ah, and Super Junior’s Choi Siwon. IRIS’s cast also made cameos throughout. It averaged around 15% viewership ratings.) December 2011: What’s Up? (This musical drama stars Lim Joo Hwan, BIGBANG’s Daesung, Lim Joo Eun, Kim Ji Won, and Jo Jung Suk.)  December 2011: Vampire Idol (This sitcom style drama stars Lee Jung, Davichi’s Kang Min Kyung, Lee Soo Hyuk, Kim Woo Bin, and Hong Jung Hyun. There are also a couple idols as supporting characters including ZE:A’s Kwanghee and Girl’s Day Bang Minah.) 

December 2012: School 2013 (This is the fifth installment of the popular “School” drama series. This iteration stars Jang Nara, Choi Daniel, Lee Jong Suk, Park Se Young, and Kim Woo Bin. It did pretty well, bringing in over 10% viewership ratings.) December 2013: Prime Minister and I (This 17 episode drama stars Lee Beom Soo and Girls’ Generation’s YoonA. The main OST is a song called “Footsteps” sung by SHINee’s Taemin. The show brought in over 5% viewership ratings and won two awards: the Best Couple Award for the main characters and an Excellence in Acting Award for YoonA.) December 2013: You Who Came From the Stars/My Love from the Star (This hit romance/fantasy drama stars megastars Kim Soo Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun. The duo had previously acted together in the movie The Thieves. Dal Shabet’s Serri and Subin, former miss A member Suzy, and former 2NE1 member Dara make cameos throughout. Lyn, K. Will, Younha, Hyorin, Huh Gak, Sung Si Kyung, and Kim Soo Hyun all participated in the OSTs. The show did incredibly well and ended up selling out products that the characters wore, being the highest rated drama of it’s time (not only in South Korea but throughout Asia), and bringing in over 20% viewership ratings.) 

December 2014: Healer (This action drama stars Ji Chang Wook and Park Min Young. The show averaged around 7% viewership ratings, but while it only did moderately well in South Korea it boosted Ji’s international fandom immensely.)  December 2015: Remember- War of the Son (This thriller stars Yoo Seung Ho, Park Woo Sung, Park Min Young, Min Namkoong, and Jung Hye Sung. K. Will, Jooyoung, Jang Jane, Jang Han Byul, and Bobby Kim participated in the OSTs. It averaged around 15% viewership ratings, and won a few awards at multiple award shows.

FILMS:

December 23, 2009: Jeon Woo Chi: The Taoist Wizard (This fantasy/action film stars Gang Dong Won, Im Soo Jung, and Kim Yoo Seok. A 2012 K-drama spin-off was made with the same main character played by Cha Tae Hyun, although the rest of the show’s plot was different. It was the third best selling movie of the year.)  December 9, 2010: Finding Mr. Destiny (This movie adaption of the musical of the same name, stars Gong Yoo and Im Soo Jung. It did well at the box office, bringing over a million admissions.)  December 1, 2011: Spellbound/Chilling Romance/My Girlfriend Can See Ghosts (This rom-com stars Son Ye Jin and Lee Min Ki. It was the 7th biggest movie of the year.) December 25, 2012: The Tower (This disaster movie stars Sol Kyung-gu, Ki Sang-gyung, and Son Ye-jin. The movie did very well at the box office and become the first movie of 2013 to hit five million theater admissions. It was sold to multiple countries and eventually got an English dub with voice actors such as Buba Kachow, Erin Fitzgerald, and Todd Haberkorn.)

December 11, 2013: Way Back Home (This movie, which is based on the true story of Jang Mi Jeong, stars Jeon Do Yeon and Go Soo. It follows the story of a woman who unknowingly attempted to smuggle drugs out of Paris and is caught, and how she eventually got back to Korea. It did fairly well, bringing in just under two million theater admissions.)  December 18, 2013: The Attorney (This law drama, which was inspired by a true story, stars Song Kang Ho, Kim Young Ae, Oh Dal Soo, ZE:A’s Im Si Wan, and Kwak Do Won. It became the 8th best-selling movie in Korea of all time with over 11 million admissions. It won many awards at various award shows.)  December 24, 2013: The Suspect (This action/thriller starring Gong Yoo was a box office hit, bringing in over 4 million admissions. It received praise from various western newspapers and reviewers.) December 31, 2014: The Tenor - Lirico Sprinto (This movie, which is based on the true story of Bae Jae Chul, stars Yoo Ji Tae, Yusuke Iseya, and Cha Ye Ryun. The movie took eighteen months to film and six years to fully complete.)

SONGWRITING CAMP

“every year, there is a songwriting camp that is held where aspiring and well-renowned producers from all over the world gather, network, and discuss their thoughts about music as a whole. this year, legacy decided to host the songwriting camp. since we know that some of you are interested in the music production process, we thought about inviting all of you to attend the camp along with some fellow people that you might know as well.” hyuncheol says in reference to the people in the LGC AGENCY path, the trainees, and a few of their senior artists ( specifically KIM YOUNGIM, CHOI DAEHYUN, KIM HYUNBIN, SEO HANEUL, and YANG JOSHUA ).

more details about this event can be located over HERE ( will add after the queue is done ), but due to the individual schedules of some of the V&A members ( AHN JAESUN, HWANG SUBIN, JEON HARU, LEE JIHO, and KIM ALEX ) they will only do part of the requirements. 

on APRIL 1, V&A will perform HIGHER and BLUE HOUR in front of the attendees on the final day of the songwriting camp.

all of the V&A members are called into a meeting where KIM HYUNCHEOL and LEE ISEUL sit around a long round table. a nameplate for each V&A member rests at a seat, and each member is asked to quickly find their spot.

“i know all of you are busy with music show promotions, so we’re here to give you your schedule for the next few weeks.” hyuncheol begins his speech as each idol is handed a sheet of paper containing their schedule and while most of it is filled with dates of music shows that they have to attend, there are a few events that stand out to everyone. “because you are one of our most anticipated debuts, we’ve decided to record dance practice videos for the fans.” iseul explains in more detail how if their music videos reach a certain number of views, they will release a surprise video as a thank you gift to them. what the v&a members don’t know is the surprise that comes after it.

LGCPRANKSTERS HAVE RETURNED!

on the day of the filming ( OCTOBER 19 for VERSUS and OCTOBER 20 for AGITO ), they will be dancing to their title track songs in one of the practice rooms. about one minute into the song, the alarm will suddenly ring and the staff member will bring in a garment rack with clothes hung onto it ( the clothes will be stored in a black garment cover to make it difficult to see what is inside ). the staff will tell them they only have 1 minute to pick one outfit from the rack and wear the said outfit. once most of the members are in their outfits, the music will resume again and they have to continue dancing from where they left off.

when the song ends, BAE SIWOO and SEO HANEUL will enter the room and make their surprise appearance. they will reveal to the group that it was a prank all along and that this will be shown as part of the BAE SIWOO and SEO HANEUL ( HANWOO ) pranking show season 3. soon after, each member is given 15 seconds exactly to promote their song and group. once the 15 seconds are up on the last member, the camera turns off abruptly thus ending the “dance practice” video. the actual dance videos ( which were filmed again after the dance prank ) will be released to the public on OCTOBER 31 after the show to commemorate halloween.

RUN TO YOU

“as you see on your sheet, the second to the last event to end this cycle of promotions is an event titled ‘run to you’. it’s a youtube series where groups join in flash mobs in the most unexpected places. for this, you will be teaming up with TYPE ZERO and perform RESONANCE together.” hyuncheol reveals while looking at the OCTOBER 29 date.

all of the V&A ( and TYPE ZERO ) members will show up to LOTTE WORLD to be a part of the halloween parade that they are hosting. to hide their appearance, all of them will be dressing up in costumes to look like the employees. when the HALLOWEEN PARADE starts, there will be a short introduction that will lead all of the V&A and TYPE ZERO members to gather around at the center and perform RESONANCE.

once the performance is done, all of the members will have a brief ( less than 5 minutes ) fan interaction with the audience. during this time, the leaders ( JAESUN, JIHO, and AKIRA / NPC ) will thank the fans for all of the support during their debut and that they should look forward to their activities in the near future. after that, they will be escorted by the staff members and managers to exit the place.

insiders have gotten the word that FUTURE DREAMS is back for a THIRD SEASON. further details are tightly kept secret inside the walls of the company, but early on NOVEMBER 28, the 24 chosen contestants are notified by text message of their participation in the show. each of them are also assigned a dorm and asked to pack right away to move in the new dorms the following morning.

on the evening of NOVEMBER 29, once everybody is installed in their new accommodations, kim hyuncheol pays a visit to each dorms to inform the boys of their next mission. “until now, since you were trainees, we’ve taken you by the hand in all matters. debuted artists are, however, expected to be more independent. this is why, your first official mission for this season will be to promote the show in groups. look around you, those are not only your roommates, but also your teammates. on december 19, you’ll have 30 minutes to promote future dreams season 3 as well as yourselves. the way you’ll do that will be up to you, as a team. these introductions will be recorded and subsequently posted on all of our social media platforms, as well as the official FUTURE DREAMS WEBSITE.”

charity day has come and gone, but legacy hopes that its trainees felt proud to be a part of a cause-worthy event and help their community become a better place.

trainees might not have realized while taking part in the event, but there were a number of representatives from CARIBBEAN BAY, TOURISM KOREA, and ROYAL CANIN that were observing the trainees during this volunteer event in search for models for their new cfs ! each brand will divide them into three groups and give them different themes to cover. the caribbean bay trainees will be provided with coats, heating pads and indoor breaks when filming outside.

a reminder on side-events; they are non-mandatory occasional events that your muse can choose to participate in or not.

LEGACY FESTIVAL

spring is the season of festivals. since april, senior artists have been busy with the many festivals (universities and musicals) that run throughout the season. with their current roster being larger than ever, legacy is looking to create a whole new experience inspired by the extremely popular festival: ‘COACHELLA’. the THREE DAYS festival will begin on JUNE 12 and end on JUNE 15. a site with tents and three stages will be set up for the occasion. food trucks from various restaurants will also be set up in a resting area. various activities and merchandise will be available during the festival, but the main attraction remains LEGACY ARTISTS.

during the three days of the festival, the senior artists will perform on the main stage. alongside them FUTURE DREAMS will also take on the main stage. with little time to prepare, they will perform the songs they have been rehearsing and performing during the past months. the rest of the trainees will be performing on the two smaller stages. they have been divided between SIX different activities. the first is a FANMEETING, where trainees will sit with a host, answer question from the crowd (pre-screened) and take pictures with lucky winners. the second is a LIVE SHOW with trainees hosting it. the third is a BEAUTY PANEL with a professional makeup artist of innisfree using trainees as models, they will discuss beauty with the trainees too. the fourth is DANCE BATTLE where trainees are divided in teams of two and have to ace the most choreography of songs randomly given to them. the fifth is the same concept but as a SINGING BATTLE. the final stage is a RAP BATTLE, a mock form of show me the money form where each trainee will have to perform a rap stage.

while the festival is for fans to enjoy, trainees will also be given a few hours to attend 2 stages. safe areas for artists will be arranged everywhere so that legacy artists can enjoy activities freely. those areas will be close enough from the vip area so that fans who paid more could interact with legacy artists should they wish to. trainees are forbidden to attend stages of trainees of another gender.
