𝓖𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒕𝒔      …      roaming   the   landscapes   of   the   desert   and   the   dust   storms,   wallowing   in   their   tragedies   as   they   navigated through   ᴴᴱᴸᴸ      …      paving   the   way   for   what   comes   after.   She   had   heard   whisperings   about   ghosts,   campfire   tales   about   restless   spirits   ᵁᴺᴬᵂᴬᴿᴱ   that   they   were   dead.   Nothing   more   than   hollowed   out   shells,   a   smoking   ᴮᵁᴸᴸᴱᵀ   casing   of   a   being.   Seeking   vengeance   from   beyond   the   grave      …      unable   to   trust   fall   into   an   eternal   sleep   until   they   have   found   some   peace.  

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ( 𝙸𝙵   𝚃𝙷𝙴𝚈   𝙴𝚅𝙴𝚁   𝙵𝙾𝚄𝙽𝙳   𝙸𝚃. )   

By   these   definitions,   she   was   a   ghost.   But      …      she   could   feel   the   hot   sands   devour   her   steps   and   making   her   sink,   the   dust   suffocating   her   throat   and   her   vision,   the   scent   of   guzzoline   wafting   and   ᴮᵁᴿᴺᴵᴺᴳ   in   her   nose   in   a   way   that   seemed   oddly      …      comforting.   She   can   remember   the   way   it   feels   to   have   lips   wetted   with   clean   water,   the   relief.   All   the   signs   that   she   was   alive      …      maybe   the   spirits   felt   the   same   way.   Unable   to   differentiate   their   realities,   cycling   through   the   same   thoughts   and   patterns.   She   didn’t   know   if   she   believed   in   ghosts,   per say, but   she   was   certain   people   were   ᴴᴬᵁᴺᵀᴱᴰ   by   the   dead.   Some   more   than   most,   the   lingering   feeling of   everyone   they   had   ever   lost,   everyone   they   had   ever   slaughtered,   following   behind   like   a   shadow.   She’d   stared   ᴰᴱᴬᵀᴴ   in   the   face   before.   She   had   found   her   trust   in   him.
