Due to Covid, many women have missed out on vital check ups which include smear tests and breast checks - now that life in the UK is starting to get back to normal it's a great opportunity to re-book them and get yourself a full MOT! A smear test may seem like a scary experience, but it's really not as scary as it sounds! You can ask for a female to perform the test if you feel uncomfortable, and the test itself, whilst it is invasive and can be a little uncomfortable, is very quick. It could also save your life. Also; touch yourself! Give your breasts and under your arms a good squeeze today. Look at them in the mirror. Are there any new bumps? Has the texture of the skin changed? Get your partner to feel them! And whilst you're there, give them a feel too! How are his testicles? How are her breasts? How are HIS breasts? How does their body feel? Self-checks don't have to be boring or scary, and noticing changes in your body is important in the early diagnosis of lots of major illnesses. It can also help with other things too...
