someone ( any gender ) who has recently accepted a betrothal from olyvar. they need to be from a family that has a good amount of fortune, as his whole reason for rushing to marry is to ensure his family restores their wealth. ideally, i would love for them to eventually have a love marriage, but it will likely start off as solely political.

olyvar always prided himself on being a virtuous man. he did not venture into the realm of debauchery--until your muse came along. this muse was the first of many things for olyvar, though for whatever reason ( we'll discuss the deets ), the pair ended up calling off their situationship. open to any gender.

anxiety tw: i'd love for olyvar to have a best friend very opposite of him. someone loud, social, and essentially everything oly is not. it would be nice if this friend was really good at handling oly's anxious moments, as he often has to handle any anxiety attacks alone out of fear of embarrassing his family. any gender and preferably from the riverlands!

The chapters I was most nervous about were Olyvar’s first POV and Dany’s last.

Olyvar, because getting people immediately, fully onboard with an OC is very, very hard, and I needed to nail his intro.

Dany, because I chose to do something very different/radical, and I could only hope readers would think it was a fitting and satisfying conclusion to her arc

Oh, and the newest Sansa chapter, I was a bit scared that people were going to yell at me for That Scene with the two deeply tragic deaths.

intro!!!

ok hey what’s up everyone my name’s jen hello and this is olyvar he’s pretty smol n i like him a lot. here’s a little more:

Olyvar was kind of an awkward kid, he’s been tossed around by his House for the majority of his life, and really didn’t know how to react when he was sent off to squire for Robb because he wasn’t under direct command of his father or any other Freys anymore.

It was kind of an eye-opening experience for him, because although he has always dreamt of being a knight, he never truly believed that he would reach his goal. He always figured he’d be stuck as a page or something because he could barely fight to save his life until he began spending time with the Starks and the rest of their bannermen.

He was inspired by the northmen to hone his skill and work as hard as possible and he was surprised to find people supporting him through it and even helping him train sometimes. Although northmen had icy cold exteriors, Olyvar had managed to get past it in some cases, and made some true friends and gained some valuable mentors out of some other Stark bannermen.

The day he was knighted was one of the best days of his life. He had achieved a longtime goal and it symbolized how far he had come since his father sent him off to squire for the King in the North. He’s now set his sights on becoming a knight of the Kingsguard, as he has developed a fondness for Robb over the years and he also wants nothing more but to protect his sister Roslin, Robb’s bride and Queen in the North.

Roslin and Olyvar function as each other’s connection back to the Twins. Neither of them are accustomed to being so far North for so long, but as they have not planned a return for a considerable amount of time, they both know they’re going to have to be strong and brace the northern winter, but they know they will do it together, as siblings.
