no way is that BENEDICT OCTAVIUS..they’re a 46 year-old HUMAN notoriously known for being GERMAPHOBE & DETACHED but there are some people who have seen them being PROFESSIONAL & INNOVATIVE. if you ask me, they remind me a lot of screens full of code, a piercing gaze, and the smell of disinfectant, but that could just be because they’re considered the PRAGMATIC VILLAIN around town. just keep an eye on them  &  see if their true colors shine through..

❖ Benedict's family is originally from Germany before moving to Ireland, the family highly involved in the research of Synths over the years. He was raised alongside his sister with an emphasis on education and science. Eventually he took at position at Epsilon Labs and moved to DFW. ❖ He has knowingly paid back alley doctors for any data they've collected from their procedures. As far as he's concerned the ends justify the means in advancing science and sees Synths/enhancements as the next step in evolution. As well as believing that creating a perfect world requires sacrifice. ❖ When his sister had a synth child with her husband, he was impressed by how much of a prodigy the child was. While her second child wasn't nearly as impressive, he seemed to have a talent for music. Not wanting to waste time with a relationship, he had his own synth child made when he was 23. ❖ To say he was disappointed would be an understatement, his son Carter, was average at best. When he was 30 he got married to a DrakeTech employee, Rowan Romero, it helped give him an extra connection at Epsilon for moving up. The marriage was more out of convince with very little love between them, with Benedict saying they should each focus on raising their own kid instead of blending the family. ❖ Divorcing after 10 years of marriage, he made it clear to Carter that they were cutting all ties with the Romero family. He'd been offered a seat on the board of directors and the conflict of interest was the only thing holding him back. Unfortunately not long after the divorce his nephew passed away, whether or not he was more distraught at losing him or their work together is anyone's guess. ❖ With his sister, they convinced his other nephew, Zayne, to get reprogrammed to match his brother's personality. The work they had been involved in was too important to just let die or slow down. Pulling some strings he was able to get Zayne the internship and now continues his work on synths/enhancements.

• He never considered reprogramming Carter, something that left his son both relieved and hurt by. Not thinking Carter good enough to become his new assistant, though he's aggravated he still insists on interacting with the Romero family.
