buckle up this boy is a mess. danny is from doncaster england, so yes he’s got a ridiculous sounding thick ass accent but we love him anyways. he’s a proud brit, and since most of his family still lives in england he visits often. or at least he used to.

danny has a little sister who he’s very close with. the only person that he gives a shit about, is what he’ll say if you ask about her. they’re irish twins, so from the very beginning they were inseparable. danny’s father passed away when he was six years old, and his mother kind of went off the deep end. though it’s undiagnosed, it’s always been quite obvious to danny that his mother struggles with her mental health. she is bipolar, but refuses to acknowledge it or seek help in any way. when their father passed she drank a lot, spent days and sometimes even weeks laying in bed 24/7 and not doing anything. so the jones’ children learned to fend for themselves. 

he cared for his little sister as much as he knew how, tried his best to keep her having a happy and normal childhood. eventually their mother somewhat recovered and when they were threatened with their home being taken away, she tried to get a job. for a couple of years things were okay. his mother still wasn’t completely there, but she was at least getting out of bed. she soon met a man who danny quickly grew to hate. his name was jeff and it was clear to everyone except his mother, the man was a selfish asshole. he moved into their house just weeks after the two met and took over, something danny had a very hard time with.

the man was disrespectful, to his mother and his sister -- and danny didn’t stand for it. he often fought with jeff. one night the old man came home wasted and screamed at his mom for not having dinner already made and ready. danny lost it and screamed back, threatening jeff and all kinds of things. the older man lost his temper and slapped danny. and from then on, things just got worse. 

jeff would come home drunk, say some stupid shit to danny’s mother and/or sister, danny would stand up for them, and jeff would take it all out on him. whether it was physically or mentally, danny took the brunt of jeff’s anger. for years things stayed that way. danny begged his mom to leave jeff, but she ended up marrying him instead. with the man as his step dad it was even harder to escape his terror. 

the only thing danny ever had to escape was music. he would put in his headphones to take away the pain of the life he’d been dealt. he wrote songs and music, and one day dreamed of getting the hell away from his home and playing shows around the world. but with a reputation like danny’s, that was all he ever thought it would be -- a dream. 

his bad behavior was not strictly at home. the attitude he had at home followed him to school, where he would often disrupt class, disrespect teachers, fight with other students, etc. by the time he was in secondary school danny had been kicked out of 3 schools. the only good thing about his reputation was that people left his little sister alone.

after he finished school danny wanted to pursue music, despite his step dad assuring him it was a waste of time. it’s all he ever wanted to do, so he tried anyways. would take trains into london and busk on the streets in an attempt for someone to hear him -- anyone to give him a chance to escape. 

one morning as he was leaving danny got into an argument with jeff about the fact that he wasn’t ‘contributing’ to the household now that he was out of school. danny lost it and fought back, and in the end the old man left. thinking his mother would be thrilled danny told her the news, but she took it much worse than he anticipated. she got angry, screamed and yelled and cursed at him to get out of their house and never come back. so danny packed a bag and left. 

for a while he stayed with friends, and even attempted to make up with his mother and step father. but it didn’t work out. danny was homeless at 19, used the last of his cash to buy a train ticket to london. he’d been busking for days in the cold england winter, but then everything changed. noah jackson just so happened to be in town that day, and he heard danny playing in the streets. he took a video and sent it to his older brother and then offered to buy danny lunch. there he poured his heart out to noah, knowing this was the one chance he was going to get. 

a few months later danny signed with jackson records, and shortly after that he moved to ivywood specifically to work with noah. he was happy to leave his shitty life behind, though he does miss seeing his sister every day. the two are still close and talk/facetime very often. danny lives and breathes music and the fact that he gets to actually do what he’s always wanted to is insane to him. it’s the one thing in his life that has always been consistent and kept him happy when he didn’t feel like he ever could be. 

because of the intense abuse he suffered from as a child, danny is quite rough around the edges. he doesn’t let people in easily, and even then most of the time he only lets them in as much as he wants. he’s not sure anyone truly knows him. to the public he’s unapologetically himself, because when it comes to music he can turn it all off and focus on that. off stage he’s very different, a lot more closed off an ingenuine. 

danny has undiagnosed adhd, though it’s pretty obvious that he suffers from it. he is extremely impulsive and often does things without thinking about any possible consequences, hence why he’s never had a good break up. he grew up fighting, so he learned how to cut deep and it’s something he still does, sometimes without even thinking.

danny loves to go out and have a good time. he’s a doncaster boy through and through, always up for a little party. though he does get even more loud and obnoxious when he’s drunk, and good luck understanding him.

mostly likely due to the homelessness he had to deal with, danny loves his apartment. at the end of a great night, the thing he looks forward to most is the warm bed he gets to come home to, and the roof over his head.

danny is hard to love. he pushes people away, thinks very low of himself, and generally just puts on an asshole act to keep people from getting close to him. it’s a defense mechanism and deep down he knows that, but he’s too stubborn to ever actually do anything about it. he is a toxic person, and he always will be.
