SO THIS IS MY INV VS SAINT AU!! It started as a shitpost and uh. Spiralled. Out of control. And now it’s genuine lol.

Enot and Saint are basically mortal enemies, and Saint needs to get Enot OUT OF THE CYCLES in order to continue his work, because this damn horny bastard won’t stop hunting him down…for some reason. Isn’t ascension the greatest gift you can bestow upon the creatures suffering in this barren wasteland? At least Saint thinks that. Inv, on the other hand, does not.

Enot stumbles upon Pebbles while passing through the silent construct, trying to find food one day. He takes a liking to this half-dead pink toaster, bringing him scraps of fabric as blankets and lanterns, and the best part…talking to him. Inv, somehow, can talk to iterators. And despite Pebbles’ very limited ability to reply, he does appreciate the company, and slowly the cycles become less agonizing. Pebbles has a friend. However, when Saint finds him, his immediate reaction is to attempt to ascend him—and he is tackled by a very angry slugcat, hissing and spitting at him in defence of its friend.

When Saint attempts to ascend him, he misses, just barely clipping Enot’s tail and glitching him half-out of reality. He then realizes, to his horror, that his karma seems to be draining. Whatever the hell this thing is, it’s dangerous, and Saint retreats to restore his karma (and heal some of the nasty wounds Enot gave him).

Inv turns back to see Pebbles, staring at him in pure fear, before he simply whispers out a “Thank…you…”. And that’s when Inv makes it his mission to save Pebbles (and everyone else) from Saint.

This leads to Inv running around the map, hot on Saint’s heels, trying to get any and all the iterators to figure out a way to get off their damn strings and LIVE again! Most of them are collapsed or semi-collapsed, so it’ll be an uphill battle, but when a glitchy, teleporting slugcat with the ability to speak tells you to do something…you’d be kinda inclined to do it.

Anyways the reason Enot can’t be ascended is because he is happy to give in to every single one of the great taboos. Wrath, Lust, Friendship, Gluttony, and Self Preservation. He revels in them. And if he can help the others experience them, and become happy with living again, they’ll be immune too! Also he is ridiculously OP to the point of him basically just having DevTools active because I think it’s Funny. He can glitch-teleport and drains the karma of beings around him. He also talks super casually and I think it’s funny.

A little bit of their dynamic hehe:

“Hey, pal!”

“I would like you to stop calling me that, please. You may call me the Saint.”

“Ahah. Not happening.”

“You are incredibly disrespectful.”

“Hey man, I’m not the one calling myself a saint but then running around killing shit and acting like it’s a good thing.”

“You use such vulgar words. I ascend beings, freeing them from the torment of these endless cycles. It is my purpose.”

“Even the ones who don’t want to go? Bro, you don’t even ask. The last robot you almost merked was screaming “no wait” at you, and you still think you’re in the right here? You’re not some kind of righteous saint, that’s called being a fuckin’ serial killer.”

“You do not understand what you are talking about!”

“Whoa, buddy! Are you gettin’ mad? Ain’t that…a lil taboo? PFFT look at your face!”

“I am not tolerating this any longer. Goodbye.”

NIGHTCAT vs the Rain World or just Scot Pilgrim au crossover lmao

So basically in this AU Sain't replaces all evil exes. But! He fights Nightcat multiple times trying to ascend him as Sain't himself cannot die and comes back every time with new battle style! But eventually he becomes annoyed and bored when he realises he can't defeat Nightcat and leaves him and Monk alone! (Also he changes his hairstyle often)

Yes, Monk is Ramona here but she's a nicer person! Also instead of hair colour she comes with a different type of lizard every multiple cycles!

Nightcat is more like Scott in the original, who realises that he needs to work on himself! Can't say much about him for now

Survivor is Nightcat's gay shelter roommate! He steals Scavenger King's (Stacy's role) scav bfs (and he doesn't like it!)

Rivulet is Knives! Unlike her, riv is approximately the same age as Nightcat but still acts very naive and at the end of the story matures with other characters!

Members of Karm-bo-bomb are Nightcat, Gourmand as Stephen and Arti as Kim! Arti used to date Saint back in the days too tho! So Sain't really hates her too, but she doesn't have a couple to kill for now 😔

Spearmaster is Young Neil! (We need more silly Spearmasters!)

And Inv is Envy Adams! They started dating with Sain't since the break up with Monk but Inv breaks up with him after he gets deveganised tho 🥺

“Hey!”

Sig cracked open her eyes to the feeling of Rivulet’s wet paws slapping against his face, and the sound of a new voice, the one that belonged to the strange…slugcat, if you could call it that, that had apparently just saved his life.

“You…you talk.” Sig mumbled, watching the creature roll its eyes.

“Yeah, yeah! Big deal! We have bigger issues right now, okay? Don’t pass out on me again, I need your help.” Enot flicked his glitchy tail as Ruffles helped Sig sit back up.

“What about the others?” Sig asked, drawing his knees to his chest and hugging them, appearing a lot smaller than she usually did.

“Oh, like your girlfriend?” The slugcat’s multicoloured ears perked, sending little pixels through the air. “I’ve been protecting them, chasing down my little buddy and beating the shit out of him if he gets too close.” Enot shrugged, sitting back on his haunches.

“So he’s…trying to kill us?” Sig asked hesitantly. Ruffles’ gills puffed up protectively, and Sig gently patted her head.

“Yeah. Says y’all have ~overstayed your welcome in this cycle~ and ~need to let this realm rest~.” He put on a goofy voice as he mocked Saint, doing air-quotes with his stubby fingers. “Stupid, right?”

“Uh, I guess, I mean, they didn’t even ask or anything.” Sig shrugged, a chill going down her spine as she realized just how close he’d been to death—actual death. The one you don’t come back from.

“Exactly! The dude’s crazy. Anyways, I’ve been chasing them around, but obviously I can’t do that forever. So, I’ve got a two-step plan that should prevent unwanted ascension.” He pressed his paws together and glanced to Sig, who only looked at him with expectant eyes.

“Step one: get off that thing,” He pointed at the broken mechanical arm keeping Sig rooted to the ground, “and step two—“

“I cant…we can’t get off these.” Sig interrupted.

“Not with that attitude you can’t!”

“Trust me! I’ve tried!” Sig gestured in frustration. “And with how deteriorated my systems are now…it’d be basically impossible.” She sighed in defeat, resting her head in her arms. Enot frowned, watching the iterator pout.

“Well maybe ask your girlfriend for ideas or something!” It said, swishing its glitchy tail. “C’mon, use that supercomputer brain, are you gonna waste all your RAM on being mopey? I know you’ve got friends, maybe all of you can figure something out together!” He crossed his arms. Sig’s gaze returned to Inv, and he looked like he was about to snap at him.

“Wawa!” Ruffles stopped her from saying something rude, waving her arms. “Wa! Awa!”

Sig looked confused, before looking back at Inv.

“She said nothing is impossible. If she managed to reactivate your girlfriend, then you and your friends can figure out how to get off your damn strings.”

Sig was silent for a moment, before giving in and pulling up a screen. “And in the meantime?”

“I’ll be keeping the moss with a god complex in check so they can’t hurt you guys while you’re figuring this out.” Enot stood, going to the wall, where a ladder of spears had been constructed to get to the access shaft. However, instead of climbing, his body glitched and he suddenly appeared a couple rungs up, balanced on the spear. “Chop chop, we don’t have infinite cycles!” He sang, once again teleporting higher onto the ladder. “I’ll be back shortly. Say hi to your girlfriend for me!”

I already wrote a bit of an essay about ragequit here but I'm using this ask as an opportunity to talk about post-canon ragequit!!! (or at least how I see it going.)

Apparently tonight is the night I decide to clean out my inbox LMFAO

Sig is so fucking angry.

That's one thing that is abundantly clear. That blocked sky islands broadcast tells us that she wants him to regret his actions for a very, very long time. And I don't think Sig is one who gives up grudges very easily. Going off of my "puppet-doctor" thing, I have 2 scenerios: Sig helps cure Pebbles before his collapse like what happens in my slugcat repopulation au, or he gets off the string and helps Pebbles like what eventually happens in the inverted cycles/enot vs saint au.

Sig isn't very gentle with these repairs. He's trying to make it as uncomfortable as possible, accidentally poking him a little too hard with the soldering iron or screwing something in a little too tight.

However, Pebbles...thinks he deserves this treatment. When Moon refuses to yell at him/get angry/anything, it just makes him feel awful, and well...at least Sig is angry at him like he "deserves". This is what happens in the scuggy repop au, where Sig sees the state of Moon's collapse BEFORE seeing Pebbles, which only adds fuel to the fire. However, in the inverted cycles au, Sig gets off the string and travels to Pebbles with Inv, and actually sees the state Pebbles has been left in after being eaten alive by the rot:

It mostly is just waiting for Sig to come around. I wouldn't say she's particularly vengeful or literally sadistic, just angry and hurt and scared. Pebbles almost took away one of the few people Sig has left in this dying world, and Sig is cripplingly afraid of being alone, so...yeah. It takes a while. But eventually the dam just breaks and she's so tired of being angry and just wants to fucking forgive him already. And from there they start to heal, especially once Pebbles is cured, and Sig helps Pebbles lighten up and ofc there's teasing and bickering but they just care about each other SO. MUCH. They never want to hurt each other again. So...yeah!

Also streamer au ragequit is fucking adorable and hilarious tho and i should honestly talk about that au sometime
