hi there!!! just finished the doc you wrote about the last two eps of f&c and WOW you put everything into so much better words than i ever could have. 1000% agree with everything you said you are SO right and i will be citing this for anyone who i talk to about it... it's really comprehensive on all the issues i saw with it. you did a really awesome job on it and i really appreciate your work for it! i wanted to show my love for it so i doodled this betty from memory for you :-D hope you have a great day!

(an aside i'd like to mention that you might've covered and i just don't remember is... i wish the episode covered more on the issues with his identity as compared to ice king or the lack thereof. he displayed it a lot in episode 2 and a bit in episode 4, at least to me - sort of related to your points on the conclusion not showing its effect on simon's issues with depression, i'm really sad to see that part of his arc get very little light, it was all just so pushed aside in those eps. MAYBE that specific aspect of the identity stuff is me projecting a little but oh well! i will simply imagine an ending that does conclude it properly ehehe)
OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH !!! i love this doodle & will cherish it forever w all my heart 🥺❤️ (and download it to my phone - the ultimate honor, as i have almost no space left in my gallery rn lmaoo) & yeah the essay didn't rlly discuss it but i TOTALLY agree! i was also disappointed they didn't really explore simon's identity issues much (if at all - but like, u can really stretch if u want 2 pretwnd they did lmao) @ the end despite it being such an important part of his character and also bettys, so they could have easily worked it into a betty & simon focoused ending & especially after how it was emphasized earlier on in the series! i honestly have a lot of complaints abt the way they handled simons character specifically that i didn't discuss in the essay bc it was already long enough & i wanted to keep it mostly focused on how the show messed up in regards to how betty & simon’s narratives intertwine together ! huge agree though - f&c really dropped the ball with the way they handled his character @ the end
