小红书 (also referred to as xiaohongshu or XHS) is a Chinese image-based social media platform. It is a combination of the feed, likes, shopping, and video aspects of instagram, with the ~aesthetics~ and majority female audience of pintrest. I've grown really fond of it and found that it's algorithm is better than instagram and MUCH better than pintrest with giving me content I enjoy.

I'm going to offer some vocab that is either unique to the platform, or slang that is found on the platform (esp in bullet comments). I don't want this to be too long, so some terms may be omitted if they are found on many other social media apps

APP 小红书: Literally "Little Red Book". Probably a play off of Chairman Mao's book of speeches and writings which is also referred to as the Little Red Book. The app is not at all political, but more so trying to evoke the "essentiality" and "knowledge" aspect of the term. 笔记: Notes. XHS's name for its posts 收藏: Favorites. So jjks made a fake gc of jikookers bad mouthing jk, ultimately leading to tkkrs, jjks, kths dragging jm, which was the aim. Then there are jjks cosplaying as army , where they are actually trending tags, reposting jm tweets, like any other army, to make it seem like an army account. It's funny if you think about it. Then we have few of them posing as pjms (accs made in 2024), acting like they don't like what jm has been doing so far and "complaining" about stuff. For someone who believes jimin is the 5th most popular bts member and no where near jk, his solos are obsessed with jimin, it's concerning. It's not even normal in "akgae dictionary" of how usually solos behave with respect to other members. If I were the person during face era, this would have affected me a lot, this time I actually laughed out loud when I saw their attempts. As far as I have seen, I don't ser any pjms paying much attention to these, and I think it's a good sign and I hope it continues like this.

Ignoring them is the best thing for now. They're only doing all this because they're scared, they love to act like jk has no competition in BTS but everyone knows Jimin's success is the only thing stopping everyone from calling BTS "Jungkook and others", pretending to be girl group Stan accounts as they camp on kchartsmaster with tweets like "jk really is the Only one who does well" isn't going to change the truth that we all know because even western stans know Jimin charts really well. This is exactly what they did during face, but none of their antics affected face and they still wouldn't be able to stop Muse from doing well so they can carry on with it

"What is Deadangelos?"

"What's an askblog?"

An askblog is a tumblr blog centered around a character or group of characters, where people can send questions to the character(s) and the mod/mun will create responses in-character! They're a little different from RP blogs in that it's up to the mod/"mun" if there will be any story elements or not, and the audience doesn't participate as "characters" in-universe so to speak (most of the time). There's a lot of different forms of askblogs, such as text askblogs which are entirely written, illustrated (like Deadangelos) which are more of a comic-form, cosplay askblogs, voice acting askblogs, and more! "If it's about Nico why is it all Jason right now?"

Deadangelos technically is only primarily focused on Nico, and other characters can be asked questions too. But regarding Jason specifically - I'm doing an event right now! Deadangelos will occasionally feature story plotlines, and the current one focuses on Jason's backstory of his experiences pre-HoO at Camp Jupiter.

"How do I catch up on what's going on?"

Currently there's not a perfect way to fully catch up on the blog other than just reading it. All events are tagged as such, and you can append "/chrono" to the end a tumblr blog's url when looking at tags to read the tag in chronological order from oldest to newest. Unfortunately /chrono tags don't work on mobile, so the best way to read deadangelos is on browser! For your convenience, the plot-relevant events (more plot-relevant arcs bolded) in order are: Will Takeover Event 1 -> The Runaway Event -> The only semi-plot-relevant Clown Event (it's complicated) -> Solstice Event -> The Quest Event -> shadow!Nico event -> Chickens (Ongoing) -> Will Takeover Event 2 -> Firework Event -> Phantom mini-event -> Smintheus Event -> TBM Event* (Ongoing) -> Grace Event (Ongoing) (*The TBM event encompasses both the Smintheus Event and Grace Event, as well as other future events) I am however currently working on a Deadangelos Wiki! It's not done and doesn't have many pages yet, but it has some general overview of a few characters as of right now. If you really want to read the whole blog in it's entirety, most if not all in-character responses are tagged "pjo" and you can use the /chrono feature on that. The blog has been around for 8 years though, and so may reference fandom stuff from 8 years ago or be outdated regarding current events of the blog or similar. Also the art is old, obviously.

The dungeon meshi cosplay scene was SO GOOD this year. We ended up just camping out near the entrance of the dealers hall portion of the exhibit hall and saw all these cool cats!!

We kept seeing Helldivers 2 cosplayers on Friday and Saturday and we were crossing our fingers for Sunday and the luck held out!!!

I wanted to get better about taking people's pictures again (and actually posting them lol) and I think I did a better job this year! Definitely easier with Mario Bros cosplays compared to plagues!

Animal Crossing Fanweek 2024!

Let's celebrate Animal Crossing together!!! During the first week of June, I will be hosting an Animal Crossing fan week, where we all share our love for the franchise.

Each day of the week has a specific prompt! You don't have to participate everyday, but it's encourage of those who can or want to! I will be reblogging any post tagged #acfanweek2024 to share the love and connect with the community, and it's encouraged for those participating to do so as well (but deff not required)

A quick rundown of the prompts, and explanations of what they mean:

June 2nd Day 1 - Animal Crossing Pride. Since this event is in June, we're kicking things off with a bit of LGBT pride! Any build, room, or custom design that are pride themed are welcome. Even fanart or cosplays depicting the characters of the game sporting pride flags are welcome! Whatever way you celebrate pride in Animal Crossing!

June 3rd Day 2 - Shooting Stars. We all love meteor showers in game. This is prompt is anything relating to wishing on stars. Screenshots of your game, star gazing builds, art of the characters, or even fanfics pertaining to wishing on stars or star gazing are welcome! Whatever way you can get creative!

June 4th Day 3 - Favorite Villager. This one is self explanatory. Who is your favorite villager? Let's share the love for our favorite neighbors!

June 5th Day 4 - Museum Date. We love the museum! Want to share your museum progress, a drabble about visiting the museum, or even meeting up with your friends and neighbors? Anything relating to the museum is welcome!

June 6th Day 5 - Favorite Season. What is your favorite season in Animal Crossing? Feel free to share screenshots of your game in your favorite season, art, fic, anything you can think of! Are you a summer enjoyer, cherry blossom lover, or is autumn more your speed?

June 8th Day 7 - Island Life. What does life look like on your island? Got screenshots of your inhabitants fishing, hanging out, or otherwise living their life? Share them! This doesn't have to just be New Horizons, any glimpse into what life is like in your Animal Crossing world is welcome, whether it's Pocket Camp, New Leaf, or any other game.

*All Animal Crossing games are included in this! I know it's very New Horizons themed in the way some of the prompts are worded, and the graphic here, but this extends to any and every Animal Crossing game! Yes, even Happy Home Designer, and Amiibo Festival if you are so inclined.
