Mit der Regionalbahn geht es nach Gaißach, einer Gemeinde, die aus 23 Dörfern und Weilern besteht und die im Isarwinkel zwischen Bad Tölz und Lenggries liegt. Today’s scenic landscape isn’t a national park in Canada or the United States, though this breathtaking image suggests that at first glance. Instead, today's day trip takes us to Upper Bavaria in Germany, more precisely to the Isarwinkel, where the Isar river flows into the Sylvenstein reservoir. This impressive natural landscape above Lake Sylvenstein is the perfect destination for extensive hiking tours, with kilometres of trails through the natural gravel bed of the Isar or along its wooded banks (weather dependent). The low-precipitation months offer optimal conditions for a hike. With the melting snow in spring, the risk of flooding increases, and during this time the area should be avoided. In summer, however, the hiking boots may be laced up again.

Meret Brotbek Gründerin & Managing Partner

Meret not only speaks six languages, she also holds three master's degrees: international law, geopolitics and business administration adorn her vita. After gaining her first professional experience in crisis management at the French Foreign Ministry, she established a purchasing program in the sustainability sector at Unilever in 2015 that provides long-term support and care for smallholders. There she met Boris and the decision to found a company that produces and trades organic spices fairly and sustainably: SoulSpice. In addition to SoulSpice, Meret works as Director for Scaling at EIT Climate KIC, Europe's largest climate innovation agency.

Philipp Schmitz Head of Taste

Philipp is all about taste. And not just since he was responsible for the quality and new development of our spices and spice blends as Head of Taste.

Because Philipp has proven several times in his life that he has a good nose. The trained automotive mechatronics technician made a 180 degree turn in the social area early on. Eric has been working as a trained occupational therapist at ReAL Isarwinkel since 2009, where he helps people with mental illness to find their way back to work.

With SoulSpice, he created a new social work area in 2019: Our manufactory in Bad Tölz. There he is responsible for the induction and management of twelve employees as well as for production and logistics - but also for ensuring that everyone has fun at work.

Daniel Meyer Head of Sales

Daniel has been a hobby chef since his youth and has always been enthusiastic about food, recipes and spices from all over the world.

Starting in 2009, Daniel gained 12 years of experience in food wholesaling, worked there in sales and also took care of the procurement of all kinds of organic products.

Since 2021 he has been able to combine his 2 greatest passions at SoulSpice: organic spices & their sale.
