(not a confession just a bit of a rant)
i think the tma/tmagp fandom needs to collectively realise that these are HORROR podcasts. and even if the episode or whatever doesn't scare you, it is made to be terrifying and will scare someone else. rusty quill puts content warnings in their episode descriptions for a reason.
tumblr has these handy content warning tags, and it takes about 2 seconds to add them to your post. so when you post art of an episode, chances are you should be adding a few content warnings there.
I saw it with art of needles for a bit, even though the fear of needles is actually quite a well-known phobia. Now i'm seeing it again with tmagp 11. I've seen several pieces of art and not one of them had any content warnings.
i really did not have a great time with tmagp 11's statement, and i really don't need to be reminded of that everytime i scroll through tumblr because nobody can be bothered to tag their posts.
it's not that hard. and just a little bit more effort might stop someone from accidentally coming across their worst fear.
also, and this is less of a pressing issue, maybe it isn't just art that should be tagged with tw. just the words are designed to be terrifying. so if you have quotes from episodes in a text post, quotes that are designed to provoke fear, tag that too.
(also, just because you don't know the name of a phobia, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. it just confuses me that we can all tag stuff for scopophobia and eye contact but not thalassophobia??)
(respond to this as honestly as you want, i don't care. i just wanted to share something that's been bothering me lately)
