The Last Bristolian Pirate is a totally nonsensical cover of The Last Saskatchewan Pirate because there is nowhere in England that is actually far away from the sea
#i looked it up and theres even a place designated as the point in England furthest from the sea#and. it is a whopping. 70 miles from the coast. y'know. the same distance as a round trip between my city and the nearest other city#regina is really and truly far away from the coast. its in the part of canada that gives even me. a person from the western us.#the feeling of. wow. thats far away from everything#the fact that this cover substitutes the isle of wight for new mexico is also deeply insulting as a new mexican#i love it here BECAUSE it is hundreds of miles from the coast#it is very fucking funny to picture pirates on the rio grande bc it would make so little sense!#it is not actually that funny to picture river pirates in england bc thats actually just historical
