i like many of the people that enjoy dpxdc am in love with the ideas that have the JL ignoring amity and finding out it’s absolutely fucked

but considering that Shazam zatanna and Constantine exist at all i have a very hard time believing that amity would just straight up be ignored and pushed to the side so in a more believable fashion i would like to propose 

amity park is a no fly zone 

magic gets weird powers go on the fritz don’t even try using magic weapons unless your ready for the repercussions 

i think it would be fun if only people with no powers or anything special can go near amity like yea theres an overwhelming feeling of fear and that something isn’t right but hey beats blowing up

so in reality the JL has gone to amity park its just that these things were happening even before phantom and the ghosts showed up

the last check in was with the previous mayor years ago and the JL didn’t find anything but a bad feeling so really what can ya do?
