sleep til 7/8am

get up

hit the water kettle for hot water for their tea/macha

prepare rice and miso soup, tsukemono (pickled vegetables) – sometimes also tamagoyaki (rolled omelet) – for breakfast

watch some anime and clean their ninjato/katana, maintenance the compound bow and guns was well

shower and get ready for the day (merc jobs, sword training or help parents out if back in Japan)

I wouldn't say they are good in reading people, because they rely more on what their gut feeling tells them about people they met. Hizumi is often right about if people are good and realiable or not. But in general Hizumi doesn't like to be around people all the time, so they don't bother about it too much.

75 Hard Day 2

I slept, I woke up, the motivation remains. So glad I didn't give up after one day! Also feeling very proud because a friend invited us out to a brewery for dinner the day I decide to not drink. 🤪 I could've said, "I'll start tomorrow," but I felt like posting to keeping myself accountable really helped. I ate some dinner from the food truck and skipped the beer.

We had a bit of a rough night because we stayed out a tiny bit past bed time. We actually stayed out until baby's usual bedtime, but she took her naps earlier yesterday and the domino effect meant a 1:00am wake up that could only be resolved with nursing. Then I tried to change up where I fed her when she woke up at 5:30am and ended up messing it all up so she didn't fall back asleep until 6:30-7:00 (usually she sleeps until 7:30 after a 20-minute feeding). But we got back on track with an extra long first wake window and first nap at 10:15!

Diet

Breakfast: honey nut cheerios with blueberries, coffee

Lunch: scramble with 2.5 eggs, cheddar cheese, green onion, and bacon, sourdough toast

Snack: 2 cuties, smoothie with blueberries, banana, and spinach

Dinner: homemade pork fried rice

Dessert: crumbl cookies

Water: I chugged my first bottle full (1/4 gallon) before 8am along with some coffee. The peepee is real, omg. I had to go sooo many times and slowed myself down on the consumption. But I got the full gallon in over the course of the day!

Workout 1:

I did the same video as yesterday, 20 minutes of low-impact cardio, and it was a blast! It was both easier and harder than yesterday because my husband was giving the baby breakfast so I didn't have to pick he up and dance with her this time, but that meant I had to fully commit to the moves! And there are a lot of leg lift/squat type moves, so the glutes are sore.

Workout 2

We went for a stroller walk on a street I haven't walked on in years. I used to run on that street on my lunch breaks before I became a teacher, and it really made me want to run. I'm not sure when I'll be able to pick it up again. The additional weight on my body and my inability to find a good bra have prevented me from running postpartum. I'm going to run a marathon some day though, I know it!
