ksdffhj why do you hate costco?

omg thank you for asking kjfdsf ok ok *cracks knuckles* (edit: couldve kept this ectremly short know that I think about it..oops)

so this was back when my family was living in the UK while my dad was getting his PhD at uni, it was on a scholarship, and also got a pretty good deal on a salary with his job back home so we were fine in terms of financial stability. This is important, bcs it means that neither one of my parents had a job in the UK. Anyways one day we were bored and remembered there was a Costco (derogatory) like a 40 minute bus ride away and we had never been to one before so we thought we’d go check it out, see if we can buy some extra things we needed for the house. So, if you know Costco, you’ll know that in order to shop there, actually in order to even look around, you need a membership card of sorts idek. Obviously, we didnt know that and we had been to Ikea before so we thought it was just like that. So we get there right and we try to go in and they tell us about the card, we were like uhhh ok thats fine I guess. We didnt actually feel like goign throught the hassle of signing up to get the card so we just moved on and started to sort of go towards the food area and maybe look around the buildng since we couldnt shop we thought we could still take a look. And then this man, this man working there literally shouted across the store like “HEY! GET BACK HERE I SAID YOURE NOT SUPPOSED TO GO IN!”...bro to little 11 year old me that was humiliating. That was strike one, but not really since I’m not basing ym hate for Cotsco on like one bad experience with one person working there who like maybe shouldnt have stopped us like we were criminals dkjfhsdf. But anygays, my parents told the guy to like chill sdfhsd and he said sorry and once again reminded us that we needed a card. At ths point my mom just really wanted to go in for some reason maybe to piss the guy off idk so my dad told the guy, “hey, its fine we’ll go get the card right now”. I mean its just a stupid membership my dad could cancel it if he wanted to. This is where it gets good.  My dad approaches the desk and asks for a memebership card. They were like of course sir and asked all of these normal questions just to get his info and then they asked “ok so place of work?”, my dad said unemployed and the ug was jsut liek “oh...yeh you can’t get a card if youre unemployed”. We were all fairly confused so my dad explained our situation, like why we’re in the UK and the fact that he is recieving part of a salary and then the guy said “yeah, no if you’re not employed by someone from the UK we can’t give you a card”. At this point we were kind all simultaniously thinking: “ok what the actual fuck-” “ who even needs a membership card to shop at an uggly storage like building-” “bro we jsut told you we have an income, like we could shop here if we wanted to-” “WHAT THE FUCK”. My dad then tried to explain again that he’s a student and all tat other stuff and once again they said that a student doesnt count, you have to employed or else no Costco for you. Even at 11 I knew that was the fucking dumbest thing I had ever heard in my entire life. Like, what are students supposed to do jsut not..shop there??? and WHY like WHY do you NEED a job to be able even walk into Costco what the fuck- 

Anygays obviously we left and we all jsut confused and low-key hig-key mad skdjfhdf but yeah fromt hat day on I’ve just cancelled Costco (derogatory) <3 People say its great, I say bullshit...but please if you have a card take me there so I can be your guest and I can walk in Card free, pay for everything and basically say fuck you costco 😌😌🥰🥰....and also free samples-
