i hate my job so fucking much. on close we get out around 8.45-9pm every night and my cheap fucking boss won't pay overtime after 8.15pm but also won't put more staff on so we can actually finish by 8.15. its summer in australia, we regularly get temps over 30°c and the ac is broken so we sweat our asses off all day, but my boss won't hire a competent electrician to fix it bc itd cost him more than asking the useless bloke across the street. the lack of equipment is part of what causes us to be out so late every night and behind after lunch every day but my boss won't order any more bcs "they come from china we cant" when im sure he could get the same shit from a different distributer but that'd cost him more! its the busiest time of the year but he only put on a 4th person over lunch for a week before saying fuck it and now the 3 over lunch are completely overworked again. plus the new staff are completely undertrained. theres not a day i work where i dont get home depressed only to go to bed and go right back the next day. its legitimately fucking miserable.

This is a massive rant about my job and my manager

So I am looking for another job. Feel kinda bad cause they are SUPER short staffed but I am also stressed to the max cause the manager is just... UGH. Case in point, I was late today because of a scheduling mix up, long story, mostly because she changed the schedule then refused to make copies for everyone and basically you have to check it everyday because it changes, constantly and I thought I closed today but turns out I didnt and I was over an hour late because I didnt know I was opening and I was asleep! I was a little peeved because I was up late cause I thought I was Closing turns out I wasnt. And I wanted to stay till 5 because I was late and wanted to make up the lost hours. At 1:30 she poses it to me like it was a choice, that I could go home, I told her that I wanted to stay because of the lost hours she told me that I needed to leave. So I did and immediately went to the supercuts two buildings over to put in an application. I go about 8-10 days in a row without a day off and I am exhausted and tired and I just cannot work with them anymore. The hours suck, like overtime is great but there comes a point where I need more than 1 day off a week. I need a manager that is not a tool and to not work my ass off everyday because she let them go home early right before and/or right at our busiest time of the day!

I feel like not only am I working overtime but I am overworking myself because none of them clean up after themselves. I always have to do it. And when I was a little peeved because I had to clean up after them I GOT WRITTEN UP FOR HAVING A ‘BAD ATTITUDE’ 

HOW THE FUCK IS THAT A LEGITIMATE REASON TO WRITE SOME ONE UP? 

HOW ABOUT YOU LAZY ASSES CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR FUCKING SELVES.

HOW ABOUT INSTEAD OF ONLY MAKING 1 ACCURATE COPY OF THE SCHEDULE YOU ACTUALLY GIVE YOUR EMPLOYEES AN ACCURATE COPY OF IT OR LET THEM KNOW IT WAS CHANGED!

HOW ABOUT YOU STOP BEING A COMPLETE AND TOTAL ASS AND HIRE SOME FUCKING PEOPLE!?!?!

i AM STRESSED OUT AND i AM PARANOID THAT THE STRESS IS GOING TO ADVERSELY AFFECT MY HEART AND iM GOING TO END UP IN THE HOSPITAL AGAIN

I hate change, I hate changing job especially since I have been there for nearly 2 years

But I cant do it anymore. The coworker that will not only talk your ear off, loudly, in a small room, but will talk customers ears off. After closing, when you just want to close the goddamn drawer out and go the fuck home!

The manager that doesnt follow her own fucking rules

What happened to you let you employees choose their hours. And if they want to go home early they can? or how about if they dont want to but you send them home anyway because your an asshole and dont know how to deal with conflict with your employees besides writing them up for stupid and completely arbitrary reasons.

The reason you cant keep people there is because you are a fucking bitch!!!

I’m getting another job where I am appreciated and while I’m at it I’m am going to get a degree in SOMETHING and get the hell out of this dead end field where I just want to gouge my eyes out and never cut hair AGAIN.

No retirement and franchisees and managers that could give two shits about their employees

I cant fucking do this anymore. I dont even want to do hair anymore. Its not enjoyable for me. I used to love it. I used to love going to work everyday 

I fucking hate it now. I want nothing to fucking do with it anymore

Honestly IDK what I am going to do because this is the longest I have ever stayed in one field and I have a fuck ton of experience in but I just dont want to do it anymore
