Then We Were Three

Pairing: Noah x Nicholas x OFC Warnings: A little bit of angst and a whole boat load of feelings Word Count: 1k

A/N: I blame @deathblacksmoke and this daily Nick post. You put this thought into my head and now deal with it. Also, I wrote this one go and it's a bit rough around the edges so feel free to ignore typos/punctuation.

Noah wants exactly one thing. Two if he’s being a little pedantic but that’s beside the point. He’s feeling a little under the weather. He doesn’t think that he’s gonna get sick, it's just not a good day. One part of the solution to his problem should be somewhere around the hotel. The other one is miles and miles away, all the way back home. 

He’s spent most of the morning holed up in the hotel room he shares with Nick. Hell, he hasn’t even bothered to get up yet. It’s almost 12 when the door opens again and Noah looks up from the screen of his phone. Nick has taken about two steps into the room before his nose scrunches up and he regards him with that piercing worry that Noah really doesn’t like to be subjected to. 

“Get up.” When he doesn’t react immediately Nick yanks the duvet off his body and almost pulls him to the ground with it “At least take a shower you’re starting to smell.”

He tries to move, but his body feels too heavy. Nick plops down next to him on the bed. His fingers trace up the side of Noah’s face “Will you get up if I come with you?”

It’s a tempting promise. 

“Shower first and then we’ll call her.” 

An even more tempting promise.

“It’s night at home.”

Nick sighs “You should know her better than that.”

He gives in begrudgingly. 

Nick pushes past him into the bathroom, Noah assumes that he’s going to put on the shower so that the water can heat up to approximately boiling. 

This bit still feels too new. He’ll be the first to admit that whatever is happening between the three of them is very much not platonic anymore but then again it probably never was. The three of them have always been a little more affectionate with each other than expected, with the important distinction that Nick and her were in a committed, romantic relationship for most of the time that he’s known them. Sometimes he feels like a kid that they just drag along wherever they go. The ever-present third wheel that they bring into their bedroom on occasion. He knows that it’s not that, that it’s more than that but sometimes he can’t stop that feeling from bubbling up in his chest. 

It doesn’t help today. 

When he comes trudging into the bathroom, the steam from the shower is already filling up the small room. Nick is already stripped down to his underwear, another thing he isn’t entirely used to yet. He’s seen his ass more times than he can count, but it’s different now. 

Noah pulls the loose shirt from his back. 

It’s easier when she’s with them. Not because he doesn’t like getting this close to Nick, but because she’s a comfortable buffer. He’s used to being with girls. Being with Nick is entirely new territory for him. In the time that it takes Noah to get entirely undressed, Nick has already stepped under the stream. He follows him quickly if only to rip off the proverbial bandaid. 

As soon as the water hits him, a heavy sigh falls from his lips. Maybe the shower will do him some good. 

“Okay if I touch you?” Nick’s voice breaks through the white noise.

He gives a barely-there nod. 

The other pulls him in with a gentle hand on his waist. He feels the muscles under his skin twitch when Nick’s hand makes contact with him. Within a moment, Noah allows himself to sink against the other. His head comes to rest in the crook of his neck. The near-boiling water pelts against his back and it calms his mind a little. The rest of it melts away when Nick properly wraps him into his arms. Noah almost doesn’t register the press of his lips against his chest. Almost.

Nick is adamant that he should let him wash his hair. It’s not due yet, but Nick assured him that it’d help. He doesn’t know what part of it actually does, but once they towel off he feels a little less as if he’s falling apart at the seams. A nap and some food will do the rest, at least it’ll bridge the gap until they can actually call her. 

Noah shoves the door back open and – placed upon the still mussed up sheets is the very woman they’d just talked about. He stops in the frame of the opened door, suddenly transfixed by the sight of her. His chest fills with that tell-tale warmth. 

Hands grab at his shoulder “What did I say?”

Nick shoves him forward, kicking his body back into action. Noah practically rushes across the room and throws his body halfway across hers. She gives a laugh when he collides with her. It warms him up even more.

Somewhere in the seconds that follow, Nick joins them. Noah rests his head against her soft belly. She brings her hand into his hair, gently scratching against his scalp just the way he likes it. 

“When did you get here?” his words are muffled by her sweater.

Another hand, larger, more calloused, finds his back. 

“Just this morning.” she pulls his hair back from his face “And I’m glad that I did. Nick said you’re not feeling good?”

He shakes his head. 

“Poor thing.” her fingers brush across his cheek “I’m here now and we don’t have to go anywhere for the rest of the day. Unless you want to go get a bite to eat later? I think that’ll be nice.” 

The conversation fades into the background of his mind after that. She keeps talking about her flight and the journey here, but Noah barely registers what she’s saying. The two bodies that bracket him are the only thing that matters now. They’re warm around him, even in a less solid sense of the word. 

They’re here all three of them and the heavy weight that had been resting upon his chest doesn’t feel so heavy anymore. 

He doesn’t like to admit that he needs the two of them to feel right, but if anything this very moment proves that he does. He’d never thought that something like this would even be on the table for him. In his admittedly narrow perception of what relationships were supposed to be, it’s always been just two people.

But this – the three of them – this feels right.

Honest opinions on Pyramid Game before I go to sleep:

- Yerim and Eunjeong canon I don't care that we didn't get a kiss or a proper conversation that stare and Eunjeong feeling confident enough to try and put her arm around Yerim confirmed it

- Harin wasn't justified but I understand her psycho reasoning and she was a great villian and Jang Daah did a great job, can't wait to see what she does after

- obviously loved Suji, played by my WJSN bias so there was no way I wasn't but also she's just so fun and definitely is gay for Jaeun my little baby

- yes all the bullies got punishments they deserve but I think that Dayeon (and possibly Seol ha) should have been put in therapy as her punishment after being taken from her dad because i think the reason she was a bully was because she was getting beat and she would fucking hate therapy until months down the line when she realises it helps (and then kiss either Seol ha or Doah)

i genuinely didn’t expect them to pivot on cate’s character bc i really thought they’d stick with cate wanting to be good/wanting to be a hero, trying to earn her friends’ trust back, but i’m SOOO glad that they’re going the villain/anti-hero route. especially with marie and cate now on opposing sides and them basically being each other’s narrative foils, like i need them to go full on villain with cate like it’s just too good a set up for a really complex relationship between marie and cate.

*sighs* okay so my thing with andre is that he COULD’VE been a really interesting character. like, daddy issues, bisexual, doesn’t really care about being a superhero and lowkey in love with his best friend (the writers are cowards for not making the throuple happen) like there were so many ways his character could’ve been done, but then he ended up being a stereotypical nepo baby. it’s kinda like the writers put little to no effort in his character development and didn’t even try to make him likable 😭 he just constantly gets thrown around by the other characters, he slept with his best friend’s girlfriend, and he’s just kind of a dick in general. really the only thing i found really genuine and likable about andre was his love for luke, and to a certain extent, cate. but beyond that, he’s just not a very sympathetic character to me idk 😭

honestly, i’m not suuper attached to any of the boys characters, maybe it’s bc i always end up taking super long breaks between binge watching but if they decided to start killing off main characters, i think i’d be fine (except kimchie or starlight pls don’t touch them thx) but THEY BETTER NOT TOUCH MARIE OR JORDAN OR I’M STARTING A RIOT IN THE PRIME VIDEO BUILDING FR like you could even take cate from me just dont touch limoreau…

oh wait … so in this game we arent actually romancing anyone? you said something along the lines that throughout the story, every character mc pairs up with will be interested in other people.

since its all just flings and noncommittal— does that mean mc doesn’t end up with anyone ?? is there cheating in this story? im a bit confused by the concept, not gonna lie. i understand the setting is dating show but how do you make this an interactive fiction with romanceable characters if MC can’t date whoever you want? /gen

Interested does not mean that they won't end up with you.

This is based on both Love Island and the early seasons of the Love Island game, so I'm gonna give you an example.

In Love Island season 5, Molly-Mae comes in, gets with Tommy but is interested in basically every other boy that is in the Villa in during her first week/two weeks while still exploring things with Tommy. She then decides she would prefer to be with Tommy and sticks with him for the rest of the show, even while he explores his interest in another girl - they're now engaged with a baby 5 years down the line.

Every character on SOL will want to get to know other people as well as you, which means they are interested. This doesn't mean they won't want you in the end, and this doesn't mean they will cheat - the whole concept is to find love, but they're not in an exclusive relationship with you from the moment you couple up. You have to play your cards right with certain routes (Amber, Izzie/Theo throuple, etc), don't get me wrong, but if you're romancing them, they're going to want you by the end for a long healthy relationship, if that's what you want.

As for cheating, it depends on your definition. No one is in a relationship right now, so if you've been kissing Haoyu/Noah behind people's backs, it's not really cheating but it is frowned upon by some of the ROs, which means that same theory would go for other people if that happens. Now if you get into a relationship with Anwar and then start kissing (or doing more with) other people, that's cheating. And I promise that type of cheating only occurs with your involvement.

-Kev Veronica and svet: you can see fiona is almost disturbed to see this throuple for the first time, and I believe this is not because its a throuple I think she would have no issue at all if the hooked up with some chill nice person but it's cause its svet and fiona has already identified her as a dirt bag when she denied he access to her flat

Kaleb is a cunt: I get he was trying to encourage his boyfriend but ffs there's way better ways to do that not calling your boyfriend a baby, I would have broken up with him right there! Obviously this is brushed over by Ian but this also marks an interesting point in Ians story because so far he has beaten down by the restrictions of society and because he's had bipolar thus far so many societal doors have been slammed in his face- though it is great to show Ian got the job I feel like this is trying to say if you just try harder you too can overcome the societal limits placed on you cause of your poor mental health-which is obviously incorrect cause the system is fucked and for many it doesn't matter how hard you try

-shawn brings fiona some flowers: though it may seem sweet when you think about it this is one of the only very nice things we've seen him do for fiona like yeah we have seen him help her in emergencies etc. But throughout their relationships he's usually so standoffish, so I think he is getting these to try and ensure she thinks he is a nice guy-but he's not! He's stinky!

Second to last, the church!!: this is very subtle and also something that has annoyed so much every time I've watched this episode why in the fuck I they getting married in some school hall and not the main church, now one might say money but the how the hell did Mickeys fam afford that huge church for one baptism?? No I think mentally fiona wasn't taking this marriage seriously just like the last one, there was no need to rush but she did, it also works cinematically to set the events of the wedding with the backdrop of the tacky Hall that didn't have any decorations or the vibe of a wedding at all because it showed the family being fucked up and the marriage not working and the background reflected that fucked upness

Thoughts after finishing Bridgerton S2:

Simon/Daphne had more sex but Kate/Anthony were sexier

No but really, the way their first love scene was edited with the close up cuts from moment to moment. Ho-ly shiiiitttt!

The belligerent sexual tension between Kate/Anthony was so obvious, it was unreal. It was good that Daphne and Lady Danbury both saw what was up and Edwina couldn’t believe she didn’t see it the whole time. But it was almost unreal that he got to the altar with anyone else.

I liked Eloise better this season bc we got more on her feelings and her anxiety. But its annoying that I couldn’t invest in her love story bc she’s supposed to end up with someone else. That said, it’s kind of good that she has a pre-end game love interest the way her brothers get.

It was great seeing Marina happy, healthy, and glowing in her new life with her babies. 

It was also hilarious seeing Colin trying to join her new family and her husband being open to a throuple with her ex. And yes, that’s exactly what was happening. I’ll take no criticism on this. Colin was clearly angling to move in and become their third. 

I don’t understand why we’re not getting anything with Franchesca. 

Is Romancing Mr. Bridgerton just not going to be adapted? A lot happened this season and last that can’t be taken back. I don’t see why anyone would ship the show version of that pairing since Colin has desexualized Pen so much that he doesn’t even see her as female, let alone as a romantic option for himself. She also ruined his life by making it impossible for him to be with Marina and attacked his sisters. So...

Anyway, I loved Eloise calling Pen to the carpet, even while Pen tried to keep up her insistence that she’s somehow a victim. Just let her be a villain like her mom. She’ll be more fun that way.

I’m disappointed we didn’t get more of Kate/Anthony in their happy ending. It felt like their ending was rushed. I hope in S3 we get more of them as a happy couple and they’re not just put out to pasture.

“What the hell happened last night,” you demanded, pacing back and forth in Steve’s room.

After waking up beside a very naked Steve and Bucky after last nights party, you sprung from bed, starling both boys awake. Bucky was now sitting on the lounge next to Steve bed, his head in his hands. Steve laid against his headboard looking perplexed.

“I’m pretty sure you asked us to have sex with you,” Bucky said, running his hand down his face. He looked like he had the world worst hangover. “I remember thinking, yeah that’s a great idea. But I don’t remember when it turned into a threesome.”

You frowned, “I thought you couldn’t get drunk.”

Steve shook his head, “We were drinking that stuff that Thor brings. I think we drank a lot of it.”

Bucky suddenly lurched forward, looking very green, “This is my first hangover since the 40s’, I might hurl. Don’t bring that stuff up again.”

You closed your eyes, they were useless. “Just to confirm, we had sex? I don’t remember anything after the gala.”

Steve nodded, “Yeah we definitely did...”

You groaned, “For shit’s sake, I’ve wanted to have sex with the two of you for a year and I can’t even remember it! Was it good?”

Bucky turned his head to look at you sideways, “First of all, how are you not hungover? You were pounding them back faster than us without enhancements. Second, YOU wanted to have sex with BOTH of US?”

You purged your lips, poor choice of words, but you would stand behind it. “I have excellent genes, first of all. To your second question, I really didn’t apcare which of you I had sex with last night, as long as it was one of you. I really wasn’t expecting sex with TWO of you!” And honestly, it was relieving to know you had had sex with both of them and you still didn’t have to choose.

Bucky nodded, almost like he respected what you were saying. Like he too had had a couple of nights waking up in a predicament like this. But now that you thought about it, for all of the male Avengers, there were only four you had never had to get their one nightstands to sign non-disclosure: Tony, Bruce, Scott, and Bucky. You’d even had to escort out one of Steve’s flings three months ago. You remembered a particular feeling of joy watching her sign the document, knowing she would never be returning.

But not Bucky, everyone else was having sex or had a reason not to be. There was no way he was a virgin, was there?

“You’re being awfully quiet,” Bucky interrupted your musing, directing his comment at Steve. “Nothing to say?”

Steve was looking both confused and pissed. Totally conflicted as to which emotion should take precedent. You watched his hands twisting in the sheets uncomfortably, “Its just that I’d never...you know...”

You and and Bucky exchanged a quick glance. “No,” you said. “We don’t?”

Steve rolled his eyes, and then whispered, “Never had sex with...” and then he coughed pointedly.

Frowning you asked, “More than one person at a time?”

Steve started to say something when Bucky stood, crossed his arms, and said, “No, he means he’s never had sex with a guy before.”

Steve’s sheepish look downward said enough.

Attempting to resolve some of the tension, you waved a hand, “It’s so not big deal, Steve. I’ve had sex with women. Sometimes it just happens, you know?”

Steve’s eyes snapped up to you, his jaw locking, “I’m not that guy. I’m not gay.”

“You weren’t exactly straight last night either,” Bucky snapped. You looked between the two of them, what happened last night. There was history here too, something you were missing.

You held up your hands defensively, “I never called you gay, Steve. I mean, there was still a woman involved last night, I’m assuming.” You looked at Bucky for clarity, he nodded. “I’m just saying, it’s okay. You don’t need to feel ashamed.”

Steve glared at the two of you, “Yeah, well, it’s never happening again.”

Bucky hated to admit it, but going on a mission with Steve was easy.

After the plane ride north, very far north, full of glares and silence, it was like slipping into a glove. No matter how angry they were with each other, they still worked well together. They had to when danger was involved. They were professional, afterall.

Even spare time in the safe house, at first it was cold and awkward, but the very first night, Bucky had a nightmare. He woke screaming to find Steve upstanding over him, shaking him gently. Before Bucky could say anything, Steve climbed into bed beside him, and wrapped an arm around Bucky, like how Bucky needed after a bad nightmare.

And so, things went back to how they used to be, slowly. Bucky made breakfast in the morning and Steve said, “Did you really love Bridgerton or was it just me?”

Bucky smirked, crisping up the bacon, and said, “We watched the whole season in one weekend.”

The thing about this mission, it was boring. There wasn’t a lot of action, just waiting in case it happened on the basis of a really good tip, apparently. Bucky was seriously beginning to think it was a load of crap.

So, during the days they did recon, and when they could, they hung out and caught up at the safe house. At first, it was like old times, pre-relationship. Your name didn’t come up once, they didn’t talk about the babies. Bucky terrified to bring it up and burst whatever bubble they had created.

Then, Bucky was making dinner one night, and Steve walked up behind him and kissed the back of his neck...one thing led to another and they found themselves wrapped in sheets, lazing a couple of hours later. Bucky had an arm over his head, watching the still ceiling fan and he muttered, “What the hell, Steve?”

Steve propped himself up on his elbow to observe Bucky, “What do you mean?”

Bucky glared at him, “You know what I mean. Y/n tells us she’s pregnant. You go awol. You ask her to leave me and get an abortion. You see the babies, you want back into our lives. You spend weeks wooing her and ignoring me. And now what?”

Steve sighed, “I just, I can’t see her being part of my life any more, Buck. She doesn’t want me. And I don’t want to lose you, you’re my best friend and I love you. And I want these babies, and I don’t know, I guess the last couple of days, playing house...I just got thinking, we could raise these kids, together.”

Bucky sat up in bed, quickly at that. Was Steve really asking what Bucky was thinking, for him to leave you and raise the twins without you?

“First of all, that’s never going to fucking happen,” Bucky snapped, reaching for his shirt on the floor. “I’d never leave her and you’d never play the part of the gay guy, I know you. You can’t be who you are.”

Steve rolled his eyes, “And you’d be okay playing the throuple game? You really think people would be okay with that? Captain America and the Winter Soldier in, what did y/n call it? The super secret super soldier threesome?”

Bucky shook his head, reaching for his pants now. “Captain America,” he mused. “How far you’ve come, huh? Rather by the gay guy than a throuple? Do you know how shitty that would make y/n feel? Or how that makes me feel? You only wanted her back so you two could be the good American couple and you could have the babies in peace. Am I right?”

Bucky stood and saw Steve lowering his eyes. “Un-fucking-believable.”

Steve’s eyes snapped up to meet Bucky’s. “The two of you were always preaching to me it was my journey with how I wanted to come out as bi. Or if I wanted to come out. Maybe I don’t want to. It’s not up to you to shame me for my choices.”

Bucky just shook his head, “I’m just disappointed you don’t love us enough to try.”

The compound had a Starbucks, it was honestly a godsend. You got coffee there most of the time and it was the best place to get someone talking. Which is why, when you got a text from Bucky asking you to talk, you suggested it.

“What did you want to talk about?” You broached, sipping at your chai tea latte.

Bucky looked down at his plain, black coffee. “You’re the only one who knows what happened with Steve...and I just figured you might be the person to talk about...sex with?” He looked up at that, an eyebrow quirked slightly.

Steve had been avoiding the two of you in the week since the gala. It was just awesome, you loved the silent treatment.

To Bucky, you answered, “I’m more than comfortable talking about sex.” And you were probably a little too comfortable, if you were being honest with yourself, but Bucky didn’t need your detailed kill list.

Bucky nodded, “I figured, no offence.” You shrugged it off. “It’s just, I wanted to have sex with you ever since I met you. Honestly, I wanted more than sex, but this is where we are. Sex is not an easy thing for me...ever since, you know..everything.”

You reached across the table and gently took his hand. He cleared his throat, pointedly looking around. “The thing is, I’ve been in love with Steve since we were kids.”

Oh, you thought. That wasn’t what you were expecting him to say at all. You were totally expecting some speak about being a virgin.

“Oh,” was all you managed to say aloud too, apparently. You kicked yourself internally for your awkwardness. “Okay...Bucky, I’m so sorry then.” You suddenly started to remember Steve’s reaction. He was pissed about having sex with another guy when he’d woken up beside them.

Bucky ducked his head, “I wasn’t expecting that kind of reaction from him. I hoped, that maybe, finally, he would...”

You placed a hand on your breaking heart, “He would feel the same,” you finished and Bucky nodded.

You looked down at your own drink, trying to think of the best thing to say. “I don’t know anything about being in love with another girl. I’m attracted to both but I’ve always loved men. I do know what it’s like to love someone so much it hurts, and to desperately want them to see you. I once kissed a guy I loved so much in front of everyone we knew, thinking it was some big romantic gesture, only to find out he had a girlfriend and I was the last to know.”

Bucky cracked a smile at that.

“Love sucks,” you concluded.

Bucky leaned back, running a hand through his hair. “I hate feeling like I’m losing my best friend.”

You nodded, “He’ll come around. Either to accept you as first friend again, or to see things from your point of view.”

Bucky fiddled with his fingers slightly as he said, “Steve’s always been the more proper one. He follows the rules. I think he can accept me, but I can’t see him ever loving me like I love him.”

You reached across the table, one more time to wrap both your hands around his, “How do you know if you don’t talk to him?”

“Fuck you, Bucky!” Steve shouted, following Bucky out of the bedroom. “I’m offering you everything you’ve ever wanted.”

Bucky stormed into the kitchen, he wasn’t quite sure where he was going, but it couldn’t involve Steve. He started searching for his cost as he snapped, “What I want has changed. I want her and you, this isn’t an either or situation.”

Steve slammed a hand into the counter, “You just want her because she’s having your baby. Admit it, if I’d offered you this before she got pregnant you would have jumped ship in a heartbeat.”

Bucky paused, sending a death glare at Steve. “What the fuck. I love her, Steve,” he said it almost calmly now. “Baby or not, I love her. She is the best part of my day, my biggest supporter, and takes my breath away every time I see her. I wouldn’t have jumped ship because the terms of our relationship involved three of us, not just you and me. She wasn’t my way to get to you, she as an independent part of this relationship.”

Steve’s face crumpled, as he leaned forward to press his face against the counter. “I don’t know how to do this, Buck. I thought I had everything when I went back to Peggy. I thought this life was over. I didn’t expect everything to just get harder.”

Bucky placed his hands in his hips. “Why do you make it so much harder than it has to be? My god, Steve, you were the skinny kid dying to go to war. You fought Hydra almost singlehandedly. You stood up to Tony Stark for me. And you’re afraid to let the world know you’re in a relationship with a man and a woman.” Steve flinched at those words. “Steve, babe, do you know how much joy you are keeping from yourself by being so afraid?”

Steve looked up, there were tears shinning in his eyes.

But Bucky wasn’t done, “You’re right Steve, this is your journey. If you don’t want to come out, that’s fine. You can be the cool uncle who hangs out all the time, or you can have shared custody and we’ll tell everyone I started sleeping with her later. But we could have a truly amazing life together, if you were just willing to give this thing a try.”

Steve clapped his hand together, a pained look on his face as he said, “Do you know what keeps me up at night, Buck? Any and every single story on the news about people getting beat to death for being gay or trans or different. It keeps me awake, I can see their faces. I can see their pain. Big old Captain America doesn’t have nightmares about Thanos or Ultron, but that. We as a species are so terrible to each other that we kill people because they choose to love.”

Bucky had tears running down his face. Steve’s jaw was clenched so tight he thought it might shatter. Bucky finally said quietly, “I didn’t know that, Steve.”

Steve reached up and aggressively wiped a tear away. “I just want to hide away and be happy together. I know we’re safe at the compound, I know we can defend ourselves. But what if some guy just decided to shoot you or y/n because you’re in some “abnormal” relationship?

Bucky reached for him then, “Babe, we can’t stop any of that from happening. But we can trust that we are well equipped to handle ourselves and take care of y/n and the babies. We can be okay. We can have a happy life, I promise.”

Steve let loose a long sigh and reached for Bucky. Their embrace was short lived, but for a second it was everything they needed. It said more than a thousand words could. It healed.

And then the explosion rocked the house.

After what could only be described as the world’s longest day of work, you hobbled towards your bedroom. You were so ready to get out of this stupid work dress and put on some sweats.

In your closet, you stripped down to nothing, and caught a glimpse of yourself in the mirror. At 18 weeks, with twin super soldiers babies, you looked huge. You remembered when your friends had started getting pregnant, they hadn’t been nearly as big, and you were only going to get bigger.

You flattened your hand against your stomach, bringing it to cradle your bump. “Hello, little ones,” you mused, “you’ll be here soon enough. I guess that means mommy needs to stop waiting for daddy to make up your nursery, huh?”

You looked yourself in the mirror, suddenly feeling rediculous. It wasn’t like you were really expecting an answer, were you? You were getting way too used to silence.

As you were pulling on your seats though, you felt a slight flutter. You paused. You’d felt some movement, but this was definitely a kick.

Shaking in disbelief, you hobbled towards your bed, sitting down on the white bedspread, spreading your hands on either side of your belly.

“Okay, guys, I know you can hear me. Give mommy another kick, please.”

Nothing.

You gave your stomach a poke, “Come on, guys. Just one little kick for your mommy.”

Then you felt a nice, sharp kick by your ribs. Letting go a sharp breath, you smiled, “Nice one. Oh my god, your daddy is going to be so upset he missed this.”

You laughed. Because your babies were kicking, and they were kicking hard. And suddenly your bedroom seemed so much bigger and lonelier. And it wasn’t just Bucky who was missing this, it was also Steve. Who had just as much a right to feel these babies kick.

You wrapped an arm around your middle, solemnly, “When your daddies get home,” you emphasized the plural, “you’re gonna kick up a storm for them, okay? No matter how mad mommy is.”

So you started your nightly routine, you made dinner and watched a show and read your book. You were washing your face when your phone rang. Tony’s name flashed across the top.

You answered it on speaker, “Hey, what’s up?” You reached for your serum and started rubbing it in.

“You’re gonna need to come into the compound, right now.” Tony said from the other end.

You raised an eyebrow. No fucking way. You were going to bed, you were dressed for bed. You had a rough day already, anything else could wait till morning.

“Tony, you have given me scrap about taking it easy and sleeping and nothing working rediculous hours. It is ten o’clock on a Wednesday. I am going to bed.”

“Y/n,” Tony’s voice softened and you paused. “I need you to come in right now.”

You picked up your phone, pressing the FaceTime button. Suddenly you were face to face with a sheepish looking Tony Stark. You took a second to observe his face before saying, “Which one of them is dead?”

Tony let out a long breath and your heart constricted.

No, no, no. This could not be happening. Not on such a good night.

Tony finally said, “They’re not dead. Either of them.”

Suddenly you were on the floor, on a sob bubbling in your throat. Oh, thank god. Nothing else matter, they weren’t dead.

“Y/n, they’re in bad shape though,” Tony’s voice now sounded very, very far away. You tried to focus in on what’s he was saying, but all you could think was, they’re not fucking dead. “Y/n, they’re hurt and being transferred here and they’re asking for you.”

AAAAA HIMMM!!!!!

How I feel about this character: Who doesn’t love Alucard?? He’s one of the biggest staple of the series and claims the title of “Badass Sad Pretty Boy”. He’s a gorgeous man with a tragic backstory and mission, so of course he’s going to come off as cool and serious. But there’s more to him than that! He’s sassy, sympathetic, sarcastic, artistic, talented, skilled, and tired. very tired. alskdfjalsdlkj

All the people I ship romantically with this character: TREVOR AND SYPHA. The three of them together is like seriously the best ship, each aspect of that throuple has their own wonderful dynamics, so when you mush em together it makes its own perfect dynamic!! With Trevor there’s this competitive and sarcastic vibe, along with peak banter content, they’re  honest with each other and genuinely care about the other’s well being!! With Sypha there’s a joking kind of poke and prod thing, and miscommunication’s never really an issue with these two, they’re gentle and earnest and it just feels so genuineee~ so you take those relationships, mix it with what Trevor and Sypha already have going on with each other, and BOOM! PERFECT! (Richtercard is cute too but not my biggest ship)

My non-romantic OTP for this character: Hmmmst that’s hard cause he meets so many people through out his lifetime (you meet a lot of folks in almost 600 years of living) but I really like what he’s got going on with his latest found (and partially technically) family in the 2030′s :’)

My unpopular opinion about this character: I really don’t think I have one? maybe if some people still think he’s straight then they’re absolutely wrong alskdjf;alsdkj

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: What they fucking did to him in season 3 of the show, they’d better fix that shit. (well I mean, what they can fix, im big upset) I know one of the biggest parts of his character is how tragic his story/situation is, but PLEASE let him be happy for ONCE in his life in any one of the mediums he’s in!!

(sorry about the handwriting i was Going Fast) and it turns out attack of the clones is my favorite? like the obianidala throuple content is gods gift to mankind through george lucas!! there is so much!! in that movie!!! just right off the bat with the flirty elevator and obi wan teasing anakin about padme! and then on geonosis padme kisses anakin on the cheek after she jumps on the back of the thing and then they rescue obi wan and she puts her hand on the top his thigh!!! it’s narratively rich!!! it’s everything to me!!!

(sorry i just, they’re the two people that love anakin most in the world! they’re the two people he loves most in the world! why don’t we more talk about them loving each other too??)

and i have watched mando! for the most part i really like it, the babie owns my ass, pedro pascal is a king, im not quite sure where they’re going to go with a season three tho (maybe i’d have a better idea if i watched book of boba fett but i didn’t get around to it OOPS)

my two biggest gripes with it were both from season 2, first with ahsoka - i don’t think rosario dawson did all that great and also the character design, imo, SUCKED, bc a togruta’s montrals and lekku are supposed to get bigger/longer as they get older, and they kept hers really short!!! and i get that it was probably for ease of make up or whatever but that’s bullshit bc shaak ti’s live action appearances had such! long! lekku and montrals!! it was disappointing character design especially bc mando is supposed to take place after rebels where ahsoka HAS long lekku and montrals,, just made her look like she was still 14 :/

and then!! my second gripe was with luke’s little darth vader montage fight scene against the dark troopers - HATED IT bc yes, while it was very ~cool~ or whatever, it also, imo, misses the point of return of the jedi. like, luke isn’t like darth vader, and we shouldn’t celebrate the basically shot for shot remake of vader’s rogue one fight :/ bc vader didn’t die as vader, he died as anakin, as someone who loved his son more than anything, who redeemed himself as much as the archetypal story he was written into would allow

star wars, at its core, is a love story, is multiple love stories stacked on top of each other and told to children to get them to believe in something bigger and greater than themselves and also in themselves,, luke isn’t like his father because of the way he fights but because of the way he pilots and fixes droids and always makes the right decision in the end - to reduce luke, the marvel that he is, to a darth vader fighting style copy just because it looks cool?? is a disservice to luke, to anakin, and to the central thesis of star wars

(also it didn’t even look that cool, the lighting was shit and it was hard to see, this is both a critique of the original rogue one sequence and the mandalorian sequence)

Would you want a second season of the revival? I heard something about a SLIM POSSIBILITY. and man, I hope they don't do another one, just because I feel like this one wasn't good. But also, like you said, maybe I should watch for what it is, not what I want it to be.

Such a good question! I have to say, having just finished watching the revival a second time, I do love it pretty dearly and am actually okay with most of its choices. I feel like almost all of the scenes in it a pure joy to watch, and I feel like they did a pretty good job in the face of impossibly high expectations from the fanbase.

I think logistically, it would be extremely hard to replicate the circumstances of the revival (everyone excited to come back, emotions being so intense and nostalgic), and I think it would be a major bummer to have a half-assed ensemble with a show like Gilmore Girls. I feel like you need not only the main and supporting characters, but all the townies and everybody that helps to make Stars Hollow Stars Hollow.

However, if they could magically align the stars again, I do think that there is potential for a good structure for another AYITL-style format chronicling the nine months of Rory’s pregnancy. And, when divorced from the utter agony I feel in my soul where a Jess/Rory/Logan love triangle is concerned (CAN’T THEY ALL JUST BE AN UNOFFICIAL BUT OBVIOUS THROUPLE LIKE IN BRIDGET JONES’S BABY -- also, someone please write me this fanfic), I would actually really like to see that next step in Rory’s life.

I would love to see, in particular, Emily’s feelings about it, and Luke and Lorelai adjusting to the idea of becoming grandparents, and Emily and Lorelai’s dynamic in the wake of Lorelai stepping into the grandma role and finding out firsthand what it’s like when your daughter is unexpectedly pregnant, and I think there could be some really good friendship material in Rory’s relationships with Lane and Paris since they are already mothers (and DEAR GOD, it would be a chance to give Lane a storyline. Give Lane a storyline!!!!). I would like to see the development of Rory’s writing career. I would also be pretty interested to see the adventures that come alongside Lorelai and Michel expanding the inn to another location, although I think having to do another full miniseries without Sookie would feel too unrealistic and sad. (Maybe if they ask Melissa McCarthy in advance she will just be there the whole time?? Allow me my daydreams!)

However: I also kinda feel like the revival left off at a good place, in that everyone is poised on the edge of new beginnings, and we the fans are left to imagine how those new stories unfold. And in terms of The Great Rory’s Love Life Debate, Rory/Jess shippers can imagine Rory and Jess getting back together, and Rory/Logan shippers can imagine Rory and Logan getting back together.

Logically, I recognize that this is a pretty effective ending. Illogically, there is a part of my Stars Hollow addicted lizard brain that is just like “GIIIIVE MEEEE MOOOOAR GILMOOOORESSSS.”

I also have decided JUST NOW that Kirk and Lulu should also be expecting a baby and find out at around the same time Rory does, just because I feel like the comedic potential of Rory and Kirk with babies on the way at the same time would be exquisite.
