i could write an essay on grief and the tohomiko family and the three way dynamic between the living tohomikos and how it's all probably very messy tbh
#❪ if i loved you less i might be able to talk about it more ❫ / ooc.#itsumi (tohomiko mama) was always the glue that held the three of them (toshiro tomoko and her) together#toshiro and tomoko weren't super close to each other but itsumi was always there and tomoko loved her mama so much#it was the 3 of them for a long time#and when kimiko is born that changes everything#and itsumi passing changes even more#tomoko deals with this change and upheaval by refusing to acknowledge her grief and not admit something's missing#toshiro deals with it by holding onto itsumi's memory and instilling the values she lived by into kimiko#does he project a bit too much onto kimiko?perhaps#but he does it in a misguided way to do what he thinks itsumi would want and to raise kimiko for /both/ of them#anyways. many thoughts.
