i really love the scarlet paradox forms but i can't get behind brute bonnet just because the concept is too confusing
#bwark#ive kinda always figured that voltorb/electrode/foongus/amoongus had a vanillite situation#where it came before the object it resembles and that object was inspired from those pokemon#so where does brute bonnet fit into this equation#i might be missing something from canon about the former four but regardless there's no explanation for brute bonnet#the only thing that makes somewhat sense is the dream machine theory but at this point i doubt game freak are going with that#which is a shame because i really liked that theory#anyway i was looking around for an explanation and people said that there was sort of one in the scarlet book but um. no there isn't??#though rereading that book has just made me antsy and kind of insane because there's still so many unanswered questions#like why does the game draw attention to the weird symbols in roaring moon's cave but not say anything about them#what the fuck was up with the phantom memory passage in the book like hello???#the epilogue is focusing on ********* so it's not going to be answered there#and if not there then when?#don't leave us hanging like xy did#ive gone off topic oops
