What's your favourite voice from the dub? Italian, of course! I'm glad to see a fellow italian, here! And, on a similar note, have you ever watched the original or any other dub? What do you think about them?

My favorite voice from the Italian dub... I don’t have one single favorite, to be honest. Here they are, in no particular order:

My first favorite is Milo’s voice in the classic series, aka Enrico Carabelli. It’s kind of an unusual and unique voice, if you listen to it, but the tone he used for Milo made the character’s personality stand out perfectly. Love it.  For major characters, he also gave his voice to Aphrodite (I didn’t like it on him, unfortunately), to Mime (I loved it there), to Orpheus (movie, liked it a lot), and to Sorrento during his first appearance (again, amazing, kind of a shame his voice actor changed).  I was incredibly sad when I discovered Enrico Carabelli passed away in 1997. He was amazing. And not only a voice actor for the series; he was actually the dubbing director for Saint Seiya. I'm sad again now.

My second favorite is Shun’s voice, aka Andrea the Nisco. Especially when he becomes Hades, and the voice from gentle and young drops to deep and... well, Hades-like. It fits him so well than I cannot imagine Shun with a different voice; in fact, when I actually heard him with a different voice, while watching the second Italian dub of the third movie, I was like “please, give me back my Shun”. 

My third favorite is, and this might come to you as a surprise knowing this blog, Seiya’s voice, aka Ivo de Palma. As much as I hate Seiya with all my entire being, his voice is one of the best of the entire series. Ivo de Palma is an incredibly talented voice actor, and he gave such life and meaning to this character that I just cannot help but love him.  In fact, he actually became the dubbing director and (dialogue) adaptor for Saint Seiya from the Hades Chapter.  A powerful and talented like his voice doesn’t deserve to be with Seiya, but what can we do. I still love it. And I would never wan any other voice for Seiya either.

My fourth favorite is Saori’s voice, aka Dania Cericola. She have her the best voice possible for a character like the Athena of Saint Seiya, gentle most times ad fierce when needed. A great representation of Saori’s personality, in my opinion.  

A couple honorable mentions go to those characters that have my favorite voices but not enough screen time. These are:

Hades, with the voice of Paolo de Santis. In all honesty, I would have loved a way deeper voice for Hades, but he voiced him so well that I just love it. The only contender he has is Hades’ voice in Saint Seiya Awakening. 

Charon, Toma, and Thanatos (TLC), with the voice of Lorenzo Scattorin. One of my absolute favorite voice actors in general, he gave them perfect personalities. Loved it. 

All the others, minus some exceptions where the voice just doesn’t fit the character, are amazing as well for me. These are just the ones I like above everything else. 

Now, have I ever watched other dubs?

Yeah.  I watched the original for those series we don’t have dubbed (Soul of Gold, Saintia Sho, Omega). And honestly... although some voices are really good, a lot of the others I didn’t like. I’m too used to the Italian ones at this point, and the fact that the original dub doesn’t have the same aulic dialogues throws me off as well. 

I also tried to watch a couple episodes in English but... (please, don’t be mad at me, it’s just my opinion) I hated it. I hated it so much. The voices are awful in both acting and compatibility, for me. I’m too used to how the Italian voice acting works and how the Italian voice actors act to like the English/American one, I always disliked it, almost everywhere.  And again, the lack of aulic dialogues for Saint Seiya in particular just makes it even weirder for me.

Arrow Rewatch 2018 - 2x06

— This beginning Olicity scene is so adorable. Haha.

— “We are going to have to work on your excuses.” Gives me season one vibes when Dig says he needs to come up with better excuses to give Felicity!

— Damn Roy. Taking no prisoners.

— Amanda Waller. Ugh.

— How is it that Waller can just ask John - a civilian - to help with a federal extraction? I just don’t get how they can do some of the things they do in Arrow.

— “I have to go help a friend.” “Who?” “Lyla Michaels.” “That’s his spy girlfriend who works for ARGUS..” This entire scene was so cute. Felicity trying to make sure Oliver was in the loop, haha.

— Oliver using Tommy’s name as his alternate name for Ivo. Miss him.

— That Bentley tho. So amazing.

— Ugh. Isobel. Go away.

— That look Oliver gives Felicity when she’s talking about Tahiti is hysterical. Like “Okay wifey, you should probably stop while you’re (not really) ahead.” Hahaha.

— “Her skirts aren’t that short..” LOLOL so you’ve noticed her skirts, Oliver?

— Man. This is back when I actually liked Anatoly.

— Diggle has to go save his girl! You’d do the same for Felicity, honey.

— I love this whole scene too. The OTA scenes in this episode were gold.

— “Lyla was my wife.” Whoop, there it is!

— Dig and Felicity’s friendship is everything.

— Super random, but the color tones in this episode were awesome. So much blue. Works so well for Emily and Stephen cause it brings out their eyes!

— He said he doesn’t see many people with dark skin in the prison. Oh boy.

— “I think he’s doing the same as he was five mins ago.” Felicity is worried about her friend! I don’t blame her.

— Oliver speaking Russian. So hot. Drool.

— “What’d you say?” “Please.” WINK AT ME ANYTIME, STEPHEN. ANY. TIME.

— “Don’t say my name. They’ll kill us both.”

— Damn. Slade’s face. Omg. So horrible.

— Aww, I really liked Shado and Slade.

— Thea do not break up with Roy because Jean told you to. Don’t be that girl.

— I hate how Oliver pretends to be so shallow. I know that’s his cover, but it still bothers me because it is not him. At all.

— DEADSHOT! I still like him. Hah.

— “Does everyone really think that Felicity and I are...” “No. Just everyone at Queen Consolidated.” We all wish you were, Oliver!

— Ugh. This gross flirting. Go find your wife and flirt with her. Isobel is the worst.

— I REALLY, REALLY hate that Oliver slept with that disgusting human being.

— The hurt look on Felicity’s face when Isobel walks out hurts me deep in my soul. You end up with him, honey! It’s okay.

— “So we’re not doing the whole ‘what happens in Russia stays in Russia’...” “We’re still IN Russia!”

— Man, Ivo is the worst too!

— I really like Deadshot working together with Dig.

— Save your girl, Dig!

— “Johnny. You came for me.” “Always have. Always will.” ALL THE DYLA FEELS!

— First mention of H.I.V.E!

— That sunrise/sunset is absolutely stunning.

— “You had my back.” “And now you know what it feels like.” Broooomanccceeee.

— I like S2 Moira. Sticking up for her children and protecting them even while in prison.

— Dyla is the cutest! “You were always the exception.” I love them. I want Audrey on the show more often. Yes, I know I’ve already said that.

— These cell phones are killing me. All the Blackberries!

— This Olicity scene is definitely in my top ten of all time. I love it.

— The way Oliver closes his eyes when she walks away. RIPPING MY HEART INTO TINY PIECES. He doesn’t want to hurt his girl, but he knows he has to.

— Ivo knows he’s Oliver! Oh jeez.

This is one of my all time favorite Arrow episodes. Along with 2x07 as well. Season 2 was just gold!
