I currently have the next 4 chapters drafted out and in the process of editing & cleaning up 🤭 Chapter 20 is gonna be A BIG ONE and kind of the “season finale” of this current arc (but not the end of the fic dw)

Okay. Jesus Christ, this book is amazing. Seriously, I can’t wait for more. Especially for the reveal to Verty after the ball. But real quick.

Alastor’s. Slippers.

It’s rotting in my brain and I honestly think it’s adorable. Does he just walk in to his room and subconsciously go “slipper time!” or is it more “I like those slippers. I’ma wear ‘em.”

Also, what do they even look like?

Okay I'll add Al in slippers to my drawing request pile 😂 I dunno I just liked the idea that when he's relaxing in his room he's a bit more stripped back. The point is that Verity is getting to see sides to him that no one else does, and that includes the fact that sometimes he does normal things just like anyone else does - like chill out at home without shoes on 🤣

I just read the latest chapter, went here immediately and saw the scrumptious art you made and please continue drawing Alastor the way you want to because he looks so wonderful—I’m just so thankful for the art of him and Verity. And you know the thing about art, it’s always great to see the artists’ style bleeding into the character and it’s what makes it so, so thrilling to see it.

This isn’t an ask, I think, probably. I am just legitimately too excited to do anything but gush right now about the latest chapter. Like, it was so perfect, the happy times, the smut, the way it escalated. His thing with his tail, please. Then, there’s Alastor being so worried about letting Verity out of his sight because he was worried about what might happen to her, like what happened to his mom when he wasn’t there for her. And Husk seeing a glimpse of how much Verity means to Alastor.

Vox making sure to hurt but not outright end Alastor, still holding a torch for sure, but not gonna lie—I’m hating on him, just a little, okay, maybe a lot because of what he did. He’s a bit pathetic and sad with the way he’s trying to attract Alastor’s attention, and I really, really hope the Vees get a lot of karma for what they did.

Like, Verity’s basically under the protection of the Princess and King of Hell??? And I don’t think Rosie would just sit back and do nothing? There’s also Husk, Angel Dust, Nifty, and Cherri Bomb?? I really, really hope the Vees get trampled on.

I loved it so much and when I was around the part with Alastor and Vox before Val confronts Verity, I was sorely tempted to stop around there because I just knew that whatever’s going to happen won’t be pretty but I couldn’t resist.

Thank you for the update, thank you for behemoth of a chapter with a lot of things going on. It was just so epic. Thank you again, I’ll reread the story again just to savor it.

I know writing such a masterpiece takes time, so I’ll wait patiently. Don’t burn yourself out and don’t forget that writing and creating art is something you do for yourself also—take care of yourself!
