How about a mini hc for after Morga dies, Jæger ends up hanging around MC a lot until they realise Jæger has become their familiar (I’m not sure if this is exactly how it works but just pretend it does-). How do the M6 react?

The Arcana Mini-HCs: When MC inherits Morga's familiar

Julian: his impression of Morga was "WOAH", no further thoughts. he thinks it's pretty cool that you both have birds now, and constantly chastises Malak by asking him why he can't be more like Jaeger

Asra: mistrustful of the bird until it becomes clear that it's fully bonded to you, at which point they're able to bond with it too. Faust loves badgering him for flight trips in his talons

Nadia: oddly amused by the fact that you've inherited her ex-mother-in-law's familiar and sees it as nature's funny way of pulling one over on Lucio. Chandra gets along great with him

Muriel: after the way Morga took both of you under her wing, he's genuinely happy that Jaeger gets a new life with you. Goes out of his way to make sure that he's always provided for

Portia: the only thing she knows about the Morgasson's familiars are that Mercedes, Melchior, and Camio were all pains in the ... neck. As long as Jaeger behaves himself she loves him

Lucio: deep down he's okay with it but on the surface he is kicking up the fuss of a lifetime. you mean he was an only child and still the second favorite?! How come you get the bird??

I wondered where would human characters be in the Human!AU of the animal characters and I thought you know what... PARENTS.

• Asra is the doting dad to his beautiful daughter Faust

• Nadia is the adoring mother of gracious and deadly Lady Chandra

• Lucio is the wannabe "cool dad" of Lord Melchior and Lady Mercedes as well as Lord Camio...

• "Cool" Lucio is actually very jealous of his older brother and mama's favorite - Jæger

• Portia is the actually cool mom to her lovely lovely daughter Pepi

• Muriel is the loving dad of his beautiful huntress daughter Inanna

• Julian is the bumbling, yet loving father of his rowdy son Malak

Maybe they're all adopted, maybe they just turned into humans one day and the folks just assumed their appropriate roles. Who cares. But parents.

What I think about Lucio's character and theories:

After we got Lucio's third book,I think it is time I analyse Lucio.Please do not be upset about what I think!

First off,we know what Lucio has done:

Forced Muriel to fight

Imprisoned Asra's parents

Gave Julian the plague

Cared very little about Vesuvia

Made shady deals with shady people

Killed his dad(and other people),wanted to kill Morga.

Okay,let's just leave this here.If I forgot anything,please tell me.

I'll start from young Lucio to the present Lucio,and will try connect some things.

In the tale Dawn of the Grub,we get to know that his name is Montag Morgasson.So,here is the first thing.Montag is german(and means Monday translated to english),but has actually many origins.One of the origins is Danish(mandag).And do you remember Morga's bird Jæger? Jæger is also danish,and means "Hunter"(it is pretty similar to the german word for Hunter,so I could translate it fast).So,if the place where The Arcana sets place would be Europe,Lucio would be from Denmark,I guess.

So much about his origins.Now,about his past.A theory of mine is that Morga and Lutz never were in love.They just got together for power or something.In Dawn of the Grub we get to know that Lucio wants to kill his parents.He seeks out for the help of a creature(Vlagnagog),to destroy his parents.Instead of Vlagnagog,Vlastomil appears.Okay all obvious but here are some details on what we already read.

First off,Lucio's tribe are referred as beetles.And we get to know that Lutz once said that it is actually useless to be liked,being nice to each other is a weakness(he said it not like that,of course,but this is like it appeared to me.).There is the quote which Lucio repeats in his mind:"Life's not about being loved or hated,Monty.It's about being fed...or eaten"

Lucio also makes it clear that it "didn't have to be this way." And he says that his mother could have raised her greatest ally.So,Lucio makes it clear that he is just like that because he grew up hating them.If they would have raised him differently,he would not want to kill them.(This is how I understand that).

So,then he makes the deal with Vlastomil,who does some magic on Lucio,so that everyone who is near him gets sick and weakens.Lucio promises Vlastomil his parents hearts,and before that,he says that "Empty words do not fill our bellies...".This sentence is important!So,his dad weakens,and then,Lucio challenges him to battle.TO DEATH.We get to know that Lucio thinks that this is the first(and last)time his dad is actually proud of him,challenging him to such a thing.Then he rips out his dad's heart,and gives it to Vlastomil.But Morga stays strong and appears to be immune... The story goes on and on,and then,Lucio runs from Morga.While he runs,there is a red beetle in his neck.So,the sickness that weakened his dad was the plague(Right?).And Vlastomil said "You can run wherever you like.It will follow...no matter where you go." Since I finished Julian's route,we get to know that the plague follows wherever Lucio goes.So he is the source of it since he is FREAKING 18 YEARS OLD.

But I think there is a symbolic meaning behind those beetles.His tribe was referred to be those creatures,and the beetles STILL follow him.This could mean,in my world,that his past,the worst time if his life,still hunts him.

Okay,now his character.Lucio is proud and confident.He wants to impress people.Why? Because his parents never were impressed with him.He wants people to like him.His battle lust,if I may call it that?He wants to prove himself worthy of being loved,I guess.He thinks MC will love him if he does reckless things like sacrificing himself,he thinks the people will love him if he lets them ignore the reality(his parties were a way of ignoring the state Vesuvia was in).And I am sure he made those deals with the courtiers(and the Devil) to prove himself,to get something that proves him.Deep down,I think Lucio is insecure and hurt.And he does not know that love is unconditionally,I think.

And his greatest fear is being forgotten,that is really clear.All characters we know act like Lucio did not exist,they think ill of him.And people hating him I think is his fear too.That is why he pretends that everyone likes him,to manipulate himself into believing his own lies.

I also think that The Devil is not his worst enemy,it is Morga.She wants to kill him,that is all I now.We know she hates him,and is one of the main reasons why Lucio is...Lucio.Itcan cause damage to you,when you know you are unwanted by your own flesh and blood.

I also think that Lucio forced Muriel to fight because his mother forced him in the past.We do not really know if she did,but since she forced Muriel in his route to fight even when he was uncomfortable,I guess she did the same to her son.So,I am trying to say that he's got that behaviour from his mother.One thing I personally encountered is that when you are forced to do a thing long time,you do it after the time of complaining and bargaining without thinking orr you force others to do it.

A little theory of mine says that Lucio does not really "believe" in magic because Vlastomil's...spell(?) did not work on Morga.

Now a bit more about Morga.We got Muriel's update,and it seems to me she "cares" about Muriel.Why?Probably because she feels "guilty".I am pretty sure she killed Muriel's parents,and now feels guilty and responsible(also because her son hurt Muriel).BUT THIS IS JUST A THEORY!

That is all I want to say,it is what I think.

I am mostly looking for my son from my timeline, Lucio. I remember many things that may or may not be distinct, but even if your not my son specifically, I'm happy to know you. I am also happy to talk to any of the MCs. It would also be nice to find Muriel, Julian, Asra, Portia, and Nadia.

Also, although this is a long shot, I would love to meet Jæger (my eagle) again, along with any Scourge tribe members.

I knew one other woman in the tribe who also had a son. Lucio was close to him growing up.

If you remember Morga being very harsh and borderline ab*sive who finally apologized when Lucio was grown, please reach out. I want a fresh start this life. Also, I do apologize if I call you Montag or Monty while I am in a shift. I tend to switch back and forth often, and I promise that I mean no ill will by it.

I was also Norse Pagan and had a heavy German(?) accent as Morga.
