I love it when a show has an experienced librarian showing a female guardian, a scientifically minded woman, a man who likes parkour, and a man who has a deal with magic around. And possibly with a reluctant caretaker.

I really want a Jurassic Park/Librarians crossover where it’s just them surviving on a dinosaur infested island.

So I have watched Leverage, the Librarians, and Almost Paradise. When I say that all three of Kane’s characters give different vibes I mean it like this: one has a bear vibe, one has a wolf vibe, and one has a lion vibe. No I will not say which is which and will not elaborate at this time. 🐻🐺🦁🤣

So, just a PSA here that I no longer have cable and will likely not get to watch the new show when it first comes out. A lot of my usual commentary many of you started following me for when I started this blog will be a bit delayed until I can figure out a way to watch it. However I can’t wait to see some excitement built back up for our favorite fandom!!!!

I just looked it up and anon is wonderfully right! I am not surprised that the next Dean Devlin project has Christian back again. My heart swells and I am excited!!!! I get Jacob Stone back!!!!! EEEEEEEEEE!!!! I hope everyone else in this fandom can get their favs back in someway!

Not to be talking about the Librarians here again in the year of our Lord 2021, but I will never forget Jacob’s face when Cassandra and Ezekiel told him to kill them. It’s forever burned in my memory.

And seriously, that’s messed up. That they would assume he would be okay with that? Well, not okay, but that he would be the one capable of doing it?

Like, Cassandra didn’t turn to Ezekiel and say shoot her, she turned to Jacob.

Plus, Ezekiel immediately jumps onto that thought and goes on that he’s expendable and asks to be shot too.

Like, no offense, but I don’t think Jacob would be capable of anything afterwards if he killed them, much less function as the sole Librarian.

So why? Is it because they thought Jacob to be the most likely to succeed after killing them? That he actually could go through with killing them just to save Jenkins?

And notice, he not once tells Cassandra or Ezekiel to kill him. He refused to ask that of them, and I think that shows how much it hurt him. He just says he should be the one to die then looks to Eve.

Now idk if this is where this was going, but I’d bet with his suggestive tone to her that he was about to...tell her to kill him? Heck maybe he was just going to convince her he was the one to die. Maybe he was going to kill himself and just wanted her to take care of the other two.

Which brings me to this.

Jacob was trying to bend the rules by saying only he should die. I mean Cassandra said she should die, and then Ezekiel said me too and they seemed to accept themselves as the duel casualties, but Jacob stepped up, said no to that, and hoped his death would satisfy enough that they should live.

Like I think about Jacob in this scene a lot. I know everyone focuses on the expendable Ezekiel scene (which ow that will never not hurt) but that whole scene beginning to end was painful and I wanted to dip into some of Jacob’s POV there.

Ps: it’s not like Jacob isn’t already insanely guilty in this scene because out of the three of them, he was the only one to actively try to kill the other two when he had amnesia.

Although, I also wonder if Jacob subconsciously tried not to kill them by intentionally missing Ezekiel and deliberately standing in front of Cassandra’s magnet.

Although Jacob likely would not see it that way.

I have so many thoughts about this episode it hurts. What do you guys think?

The Librarians/Umbrella Academy potential crossover ideas

So after my last post crashed imma try again.

Okay so this ones not as cohesive as my first draft but I initially thought on a crossover between these two that these fandoms don’t mesh well on tone so a full on crossover is unlikely. But then I thought, “What? Of course it would work! They both have/deal with time jumps and alternate realities!”

So here’s some ideas on that:

•The Librarians (with the loom of fate possibly) end up in the (first) Umbrella universe where they are not Librarians and have no idea if the Library even exists here.

•The Umbrella Academy goes to The Librarians universe in one of their time jumps and are unsure if the Academy even exists here.

Or let’s pursue AU ideas:

•The Academy kids as Librarians.

•The Librarians as Academy Kids.

•The Academy kids discover others like them (there’s like what 43 total kids?) and we can stretch the imagination with making our Librarians some of those-or time travel)

•The Librarians get some new recruits (if there can be more than one-as in four at a time- who says there’s a limit?) maybe the Umbrella kids in this universe got some letters or were put in a path to meet them.

Or how about (forgetting the tonal differences between the two fandoms) that they both exist in the same universe:

• how old is Ezekiel? Just asking. He’s in that age range that it could be believable he’s one of the 43 kids born. Especially since we don’t know his real parents or origins.

I mean, these are just a few ideas to start.

My brain: so the relationship dynamic between Maleficent and Diaval is familiar, one could say very close to the relationship dynamic between Eve and Flynn. And since you are already thinking about the Librarians, what if the Librarians were all dark fey? You should do an edit for that.
