TomStar/Starco thoughts/speculation

Looks like the fandom is already a chatter about the upcoming hints so I thought I’d share:

While I’m not exactly a Tomstar-shipper, I think the ship itself is interesting, to say the least and I want to see it (canonically) explored. Who doesn’t love a badboy? And I mean there are SO many questions!!

How did they meet?

I think Star probably randomly ended up in (IT’S HELL, NO TWO WAYS ABOUT THIS LOL) when she was messing around with the scissors, and they were both smitten immediately. I need this backstory. lol

Do the king and queen even KNOW that their precious princess daughter dated a demon?

My guess is a big fat NOPE. XD I’m pretty sure they would forbid it; well if they did know she was into him, they’d forbid it (Moon would be livid and River would freak out and cry) and she would just date him anyway because Star Butterfly, people.

How long were they together? What caused the break-up? Who took the initiative?

Star is only 14 so I’m speculating not very long. Maybe a couple months?

We saw that Tom had anger issues in season 1; I think it’s likely Star got sick of it and dumped him. She doesn’t like being told what to do; Tom doesn’t like being told no. XD Bad combination. It is probably because they both have strong personalities that they clash hard; a case of “This person is too much like me and it’s annoying.” Another factor may be that Star likes them bad, but Tom is too bad for her taste....just a little too creepy.

Lol that always cracks me up XD

But the fact that Tom’s character has already been given chances in the show to develop beyond jerk-ex is kinda awesome. A lot of times, jerk-exes are plain demonized (haha see what I did thar) so the audience has no choice but to root for the true love interest.

Some speculate Star will go back to Tom in attempt to move on from her feelings for Marco (LOL) and I think that is likely. I don’t mind seeing this happen because OMG I NEED JEALOUS MARCO DIAZ lmao I NEED THAT VERY MUCH.

Tom’s character growth (and S3 teasers) indicate that he will probably try to treat Star like the princess she is instead of his property like before.

Star will be happy about this but since Tom is still a demon, he may not be able to change that demonic nature so easily (I mean liking blood and such lol) That’s not his fault; it’s just what he is. It’s how he was raised and what he is used to.You cannot train a wolf to suddenly act like a bunny rabbit, right? If she sees he is trying to stop being himself only for her sake, she probably won’t like that.

To sum up, I don’t see this relationship working out (aside from Starco being endgame) mainly because it would mean an estranged one from Star and her parents and her responsibilities as queen. Star may be rebellious but you can see a trace of Moon’s nobility in her; she knows when it’s time to get serious and she does it very well. Thus I don’t think she would elope with him. XD

But TomStar does need to be explored, yes. Really looking forward to the rest of S3!!! NOVEMBER, HURRY UP!!

I am ALL for the idea of JannaxTom XD I would love to see them MEET.
