I know we are still freaking out about SCOTUS and Roe, but there was also a surprise January 6th Committee Hearing Today!

Their witness was Chief of Staff Mark Meadows’s executive assistant Cassidy Hutchinson and, whew boy, was information dropped.

Basically the rundown:

Trump knew people with weapons were at the Capitol on Jan 6th

CoS Meadows also knew there were armed people and did not look up from his phone when an alarmed Hutchinson told him what was happening

He also shut the car door on her 2X when she tried to give him security updates during the rally at the Eclipse over a period of at least 25 minutes

Trump was mad that his crowd size wasn’t big enough for the rally photo op because security wouldn’t let people with weapons through and people didn’t want their weapons to be confiscated. Trump wanted the MAGS to be taken down because he knew “the people weren’t there to hurt [him]”

The non-Rudy lawyers practically begged Hutchinson not to let Trump join the riot at the Capitol because they could get in trouble for multiple crimes.

When Trump was told in the car by security that they were not going to the Capitol, but were going back to the White House, Trump first tried to take the wheel of the car and then TRIED TO CHOKE HIS HEAD OF SECURITY WHO WAS TRYING TO STOP HIM

Back at the WH, 45 threw a hissy fit that included throwing his lunch at the wall. Apparently, this was a continuous behavior of his

Trump agreed with the rioters call to hang Mike Pence and that they “were not doing anything wrong”

Multiple lawyers, Congress people, FOX News hosts, Ivanka, Don Jr tried to get Meadows to get Trump to do something but Meadows said that Trump “didn’t want to see anyone”

Only the threat of cabinet members invoking the 25th amendment made him agree to tweet out the video telling rioters to go home and that “we love you”

During the Jan 7th statement, Trump wanted to pardon the rioters but WH lawyers said “absolutely not”

A lot of people in Trumpworld pleaded the 5th for every single question they were asked, including General Flynn when asked if he believed in the peaceful transfer of power

The committee ended the hearing with depositions from people they interviewed, basically saying they’ve been threatened by people in Trumpworld to not say anything, which is witness tampering

It was wild.

Day 2 of the January 6th committee hearings: There's absolutely no proof that the 2020 Presidential election was stolen. Trump just repeated his own lie and refused to leave.

The United States of America called hearings for the music group N.W.A. for a song called “Fuck Tha Police.”  Hearings for Gangsta Rap, font, words, rhyming.  This song got so many enraged especially the police because they claimed it would incite violence by its content that the FBI... The Federal Bureau of Investigation got involved.  The F-B-I.  Music got them to start investigating people while all these white supremacist hate groups at the January 6th insurrection have yet to have a day of public investigation.  The government had the head ups... passed on the Intel... but have yet to shout with outrage as they did towards black skin.  No committee, no hearings.  America.

Eric Swalwell Slams Jim Jordan With Killer Troll During Garland Hearing

Representative Eric Swalwell called out Jim Jordan on Wednesday for continuing to evade a subpoena to testify before the House January 6 investigative committee. The House Judiciary Committee, which Jordan chairs, held a hearing on the supposed weaponization of the federal government. At one point, Representative Thomas Massie accused Attorney General Merrick Garland of being in contempt of Congress for declining to comment on ongoing investigations into Hunter Biden. Swalwell was quick to hit back. “That is quite rich, because the guy who’s leaving the hearing room right now, Mr. Jordan, is about 500 days into evading his subpoena,” Swalwell said, displaying a countdown clock on a tablet as he spoke. Jordan had gotten up and was walking out of the room. “If we’re going to talk about contempt of Congress, let’s get real,” Swalwell continued. “Are you serious that Jim Jordan, a witness to one of the greatest crimes ever committed in America, a crime where more prosecutions have occurred than any crime committed in America, refuses to help his country, and we’re going to get lectured about subpoena compliance and contempt of Congress?” The January 6 investigative committee subpoenaed Jordan in December 2021 to discuss messages he sent to Donald Trump ahead of the insurrection. Jordan had also sent messages to Trump’s legal team and other people involved in planning the January 6 rally or objecting to the certification of Joe Biden’s presidential victory. Despite insisting in November that year he had “nothing to hide,” Jordan refused to cooperate with the subpoena.

Reading this January 6th Committee testimony, and Patrick Casey can't remember if he livestreamed on January 5th, but I can lol.

Q: Did you live-stream on January 6th? Casey: I don’t recall. Q: Okay. How about the days prior to January 6th? Casey: It’s — pardon me on second. I think I probably did, but it was well over a year ago and it’s hard to remember every night that I did or didn’t live-stream.
