okay so like, of course, we're currently coming to the end of the first semester of our final year and Byakkun and I are both starting to become swamped with end-of-term papers, projects etc and preparations for the next semester.

we're seeing each other a little less then normal but still manage to check in via texts and brief moments on campus/the odd date. But it's at times like this that I tend to need to draw on other's support more, to avoid overthinking etc.

I know Byakkun is busy so I try not to bother him more than usual (even though he's of the 'it's unfair that we laughed together but you cried alone' type beat)

and one time when you and I are hanging out, I confess that I miss him and feel bad that work is so all-consuming but I don't want to be so demanding when we're at such a critical point

When you tell me how you’re feeling, I immediately go to hug you close. My hold is gentle, but is still firm enough to let you know I’m here.

I’ve noticed as of late how preoccupied you’ve been. Not necessarily distant, but just swamped.

Admittedly, I had been a little worried about you. Every time i checked on you, you seemed to be working on things. I had wondered if you were even getting any rest. I couldn’t wait for a rest period to come any faster for you, truly.

I feel the way you shiver in my arms, eyes beginning to shine with tears. I’m trying to reassure you with quiet murmurs.

“I’m sorry life is bringing you so much stress right now. Even more so, I feel bad it’s keeping you and your love apart. But I’m more than sure he misses you just as much as you miss him, if not more. I know you worry about being a bother, but I think you should tell him how you feel.”

I’m sure I didn’t know him to the extent you or Ichigo did, but I know Byakkun is considerate enough to do what he can for you regardless of the struggles along the way. I know that he would never see your presence as an intrusion. I try to remind you that you are not a burden adding to his workload. You are the love of his life. And that it’s already in his heart to wanna be there for you when you need him.

But he has to know you need him in order for him to be there :(((( <3.

Byakuya, similar to you has been working in over time. Not only on his grad work, but also for his little class he teaches, and for the tasks he does when working with the organization in charge of Ichigo’s internship. When the two guys work together, Ichigo takes note of how… frazzled Byakkkun has been. And he makes it a point to keep checking in with him to make sure he’s okay.

At some point, when Ichi and Byakkun get some downtime, Byakuya straight up tells Ichigo he feels like he is losing his mind hardly being able to see you amongst all this chaos. But he knows you have enough on your plate. That your academic crazies are probably going extra hard without trying to fit him in between constant study sessions, revisions, exams, meetings with professors.

And Ichigo tells him something similar to what I tell you. But still, thought Byakkun knows he’s right, his brain is so fried he feels like he doesn’t know how to go about rectifying this. So Ichigo tells him that he’s gonna help him figure it out. He grabs a piece of paper and a pen, gives it to Byakuya, asks for his schedule. When he’s in class, when he’s studying, when he’s working on his thesis, when he’s eating, everything. And once Ichi has this information he is texting me.

We begin to make plans to help y’all out, so you don’t have to think about anything. You can save all your energy to your academic pursuits and we can handle all the rest.

Essentially Ichi and I work together to schedule events in which y’all can spend time together simply vibing. Taking little tidbits from conversations wit you both and brainstorming ideas to fulfill those needs in a way that brings both your brains back down to earth.

You mention one day you wish you had something to warm you up as you chug water to keep yourself working diligently. The next day after you’re out of class for the day, I’m picking you up and dropping you off at a small lounge somewhere on campus. Inside awaits a cozy atmosphere with fairy lights, blankets, and your choice of coffee and hot cocoa. There’s a projector set up to watch whatever you please for the next few hours and Byakuya is already there waiting.

Byakuya murmurs to himself about getting some fresh air while scribbling down notes for something. Ichigo is texting me about places with nature you two can go to. Byakkun’s next day is packed, but the day after that is when Ichigo grabs Byakkun and drives him somewhere toward the edge of town. Waiting by a booth nearby where he’s dropped off it me and you.

Ichi and I paid for your fair to walk this trail filled with flowers, lush trees, a bridge overlooking a small pond with koi, zen gardens, and fresh fruit from stands at certain stopping points. Once you two are together and told what’s up I hop in the car with Ichi and leave y’all to it. We come to get you when you message us you’re ready to go.

Y’all have helped us so much, so we’re more than happy to help shape more self care and quality time with your partner into your hectic and almost impossible seeming schedule. We are also making sure y’all are getting your meals in and getting your rest and all the like. Until this hellish period calms down, we are here for you, and we hope we can help you both to be there more for each other without fear uwu.

It's been some time, still as in love as ever (and watching your blossoming love story ehehe) and I bet this would be a perfect time for a weekend trip for us! So we'd go to a little spa retreat or something similar - definitely has a hot springs !!

Perhaps it is getting close to y'all graduating. Y'all have been absolutely swamped with work for your classes, on your theses, doing field work and research, everything.

It's getting close to a break, but it isn't quite here yet, so y'all can't afford to do something or go somewhere yet that will take too long.

But Ichi and I (still not quite an item yet, but closer than before) see the way you both have been stressing and struggling through it; almost burning out. So we both pitch in to get you this weekend at the spa to unwind that you so very much deserve.

We both surprise you with the vouchers for the spa after some particularly pressing exams; when we're at another practice presentation session of yours :3. And we also had a basket full of goodies for you both to use and treat yourselves a little. As a thank you from us for helping with me and Ichi's respective processes of applying to/prepping for grad school <3.

And when you go, you both get massages, get some nail care, some relaxing scalp washing, skin care treatments, cucumbers on the eyes, hot stones, the whole nine! We did get you the deluxe experience, after all >:3.

And of course, at this place they have both relaxing saunas and soothing hot springs~.

After loads of being pampered, you both get to go to either one as your last piece of heaven before returning back to your shared scholastic nightmare lmao. And you both happen to choose the hot spring ♨️.

Byakkun makes it first, and is getting ready to step in, towel hung low on his hips. You step in just moments after and catch a glimpse of him in all his surprisingly muscular glory~. The definition in his shoulders moving as he wades into the steamy oasis. And you find yourself having thots.

About what that tasty back of his might look like as he's arching into you. About getting to feel it with your hands and leaving scratches on it. Wondering how those muscles move and flex when he lifts something (perhaps you?).

You are absolutely drowning in your adoration for him and his physique, feeling your face get hot. But when he notices you and can tell you're flustered from where he is and raises a brow to ask, you say you peeked your head into the sauna on the way here and saw an elderly woman drop her towel.

He nods, seemingly calm as he welcomes you in. But, don't get it twisted. He is just as flustered as you are. Eyes rolling over your towel clad body when you aren't looking; the slightest bit of pink tinging the tops of his ears. He's glad he has the excuse of the hot springs to blame. Another reason he's glad he's in literal hot water right now? Masks another indicator of how pretty he thinks you are 🍆.

I like to think that after that time he was kind enough to help me look for you when I was lost, I just couldn’t stop thinking about him. I could be doing just the most mundane thing and he will pop into my head. Even more so than before when I was simply crushing from afar.

I will be brushing my teeth and his voice will pop into my head and then I’ll accidentally make myself gag. I will be filling my car up with gas and start thinking about how he walked me off campus after I gave you your thing, and then I will have spent a little more money than intended when i come to and look at the little screen on the pump. Casually eating lunch and thinking about how stronk his arm looked when he raised it to scratch the back of his head and I bite my tongue about it and sob cus OW MY TONGUE.

Like I have only experienced the man for at most a couple hours that one day but I am an entire mess lmao.

Quite licherally spinning him around on a rotisserie in my brain and I cannot control it.

AUGH and when you let me know and you Byakuya have noticed my fondness for him I am lowkey bashful when I’m with you guys going around campus. Cus I feel like y’all are always looking and me and wondering if I am looking to see Ichigo (which I might be sometimes, but y’all don’t have to know!!).

Now I am just casually hanging around the school even though I haven’t started attending yet. But! With you and Byakkun’s help I have started the process of applying. Because it’s a little late, I’m unsure if I’ll make it in but my fingers are crossed! Would be cool to graduate the same year as (what is hopefully) my college sweetheart like the bestie and her Byakkun 🫶🏾.

Ichigo also thinks about our first time meeting from time to time, though nowhere near as much as me since he actually has stuff to focus on with his internship and prepping for his first grad year starting soon.

Specifically he thinks about how I was almost about to cry when he found me. Like you said, he’s polite! So he didn’t say anything then. He was glad he was able to get along well with me and help out to make those watery eyes go away. Sometimes tho he finds himself wondering if he’ll see me around on campus again by chance. He hopes if he does that I’m not so upset.

He doesn’t like to see anyone sad, but he felt something a little different when he thought about me specifically. He wasn’t sure why. Maybe it was because I was your friend? And you were sort of an extension of his mentor Byakuya to him?

One time he’s working with Byakuya on something. And it’s on something a little more to do with your expertise. As you’re drafting up a little paper to help Byakuya you realize because of my Psych degree I might be able to help with a part you’re a little unsure about. We were hanging out at your house at the time having a little sleepover, so I was also able to write some notes of my own on the sheet.

Byakuya brought it with for the project. Ichi knows Byakuya’s handwriting, so he figures he didn’t write this reference page they were both looking at from time to time. He asks who did, to be told that the purple ink is in your handwriting, and that the pink ink is mine.

Byakkun goes back to working but Ichigo is looking at the paper for a moment, blinking to himself. When Byakkun steps away, Ichi is lightly stroking places where my handwriting is. He thought my writing was pretty…

Lmao also thinking about if something goes wrong with Ichi’s car, so you end up volunteering me as his ride and i wanna KILL U CUS HOW COULD U DO THIS TO ME!! IM NOT MENTALLY PREPARED FOR THIS PLS 😭. At first it’s a lot of the three of us (me, you, n Ichi in the back). But then you start making moves. Insisting Ichi sits in the front with me (“Oh I just need to go through my bag and it might get messy!”). And then eventually you just yeet all together and start getting rides with Byakuya, leaving me ALONE. And you’re smirking about it but I am a WRECK cus I’m so silly about him HELP. This point is when he and I exchange numbers since we no longer have you as a middle person.

Omg so I read the continuation and I'm aaaaaaaah

Let's say we meet for lunch one day, you and Ichigo are filling us in on your grad school news and progress in terms of preparation. And you're there before me and Byakuya arrive, sitting with Ichigo at the table. And at first I don't see it. But as we're talking I happen to glance down and see LINKED HANDS 🫨 and I immediately look at you like this 😏 and you know I know.

I won't call it out but you know then that you need to address it, and when you do I'm so excited and you and I are squealing. Byakuya gives Ichigo a small nod and smile, and Ichi knows his mentor is happy for him 🥺🥺

I definitely want to know what your next steps are!

This ask has been sitting in my asks for a minute now! I know we’ve progressed a bit in the college au, but I hope you’re still excited about seeing this Jas :DDDD.

Just looking back at you with a grin when I see you with that face. You two come to the table and we start chatting. We're sitting across from one another, squealing about how the tables have turned. How now you're the one having that moment of "Finally! They managed to get together!"

Meanwhile Ichigo and Byakkun are sitting across from one another silently communicating, both with happy hearts at the sound of their loves chattering away. When Byakuya offers that nod and small smile, Ichi offers a nod and smile back. After, Ichi is bowing slightly in thanks 🥺. He's not sure he would have done as well without Byakuya's curt, but sage advice lol.

Even then though, the next time he and Byakkun are alone, Ichi's cheeks are red as he tells him I was still the brave one. That I confessed first. (Ichi's telling Byakkun how it all happened, because surprisingly, his mentor actually asked about it 👀)

But yeah!!

Now we can live together and not have to worry about burying our feelings about one another for the other’s comfort ówò. We still have our moments where we’re a little shy around each other, but the air in general is so much lighter and we are both breathing easier when we’re to ourselves in our rooms after an interaction uwu.

And of course the longer we live together the more comfy we get. We start letting ourselves be seen more in our more messy states n such. We’re talking more. Easier on ourselves when we make a mistake because we’re more comfortable talking it out.

Also now, we can officially call our hangouts when we stay in dates!! And do cute things :3 <33333

It’s slow to start, but we do start getting more physical with our affections too. About the extent we would do before we became an item was short hugs, him having his arm around my shoulder, or very very rarely we held hands for short periods. We start openly cuddling now, and it just comes so naturally to us. And of course we start kissing too. Just quick pecks most of the time, until we both get the courage to start doing something more. If we’re close enough, we may start absentmindedly linking fingers.

After a while Ichi starts getting pretty comfortable. He figured since the day we confessed I saw just about everything, he was probably fine to be moving around less clothed right? So mans is schmovin round the apartment with no shirt at times. And the way my face burns. Like we are together now, but I still have to stop myself from ogling him too much lmao. Seriously, what secret time of day must he have worked out to get that fucking sculpted??? HELP.

Eventually I start to test the waters too. Starting with wearing big shirts and small shorts, effectively looking like I’m just in my panties under a shirt. And I don’t see it, but the way he double takes the first time he sees me? AUGH. It has the flutters in his stomach and he tries to stop, but can’t help the way his eyes keep flicking down at my tush. Sometimes I’ll walk out in just some bottoms and a bra if I’m doing something quick. And I’ll smile and wave at him. He has to stop the stutter that tries to escape when he says a quiet hello back to me. He’s smiling normally then, but once I leave he is biting the fuck out of his lip and sighing out his nose quietly before just staring at the ceiling. Damn, why is she so pretty?

We also start spending a lot more time sleeping in the same bed (we start cuddling and end up dozing off). And when we do this we are switching rooms back n forth (still no commitment to moving into the same room just yet, but maybe later uwu).

And of course~

The closer we get, the more ✨thots✨ about each other start to happen now too 😏😉

But of course we are just trying to enjoy the honeymoon stage, if you will. The first little puppy love part 🥰.
