Aside from all the Kermits, I think the Country Trio were my favorites. If they look familiar, you're not mistaken--they're made in the likenesses of Jim Henson, Frank Oz, and Jerry Nelson.

THE RAILWAYS MUSEUM AMBARAWA

Initially it was a station called Willem I Station. This station was built by the Nedherlandsch Indische Spoorweg Maatschappij (NISM) which was inaugurated on May 21 1873 at the same time as the opening of the Kedungjati-Ambarawa route. 1907. At the beginning of its operation, Willem I Station was used as a means of transporting export commodities and military transportation around Central Java. After being deactivated in 1976, Ambarawa Station was declared a Railway Museum by the Governor of Central Java at that time, Supardjo Rustam. This plan aims to save the remains of the steam locomotive and make it a tourist attraction in Central Java. Ambarawa Station was chosen because Ambarawa has a strong historical background in the struggle for independence, namely the Battle of Ambarawa, apart from that, Ambarawa Station at that time still had ancient technology that could still be operated.

The Ambarawa Museum or Indonesian Railway Museum (IRM) displays a collection of railways from the Dutch East Indies period to pre-Indonesian independence which includes facilities, infrastructure and administrative equipment.

To support tourism, PT KAI organizes tourist train transportation. In this museum there are two train services, namely the Ambarawa–Bedono and Ambarawa–Tuntang  tourist trains. The trips are only made regularly on Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays, for other days it can only be done using a rental system. The Ambarawa–Bedono tourist train is a train that uses cog rails. The museum itself then branded this service as the Ambarawa Mountain Railway Tour. The route is from Ambarawa–Jambu–Bedono and back to Ambarawa. The journey to Bedono can only be made by a geared steam locomotive (B25) because none of the diesel locomotives are equipped with gears. In addition, steam train ticket reservations can only be ordered through the rental system. As a result, Bedono and Jambu stations are only open when there are train trips. The Ambarawa–Tuntang tourist train runs regularly using diesel locomotives, but can be rented using either steam or diesel locomotives. For regular trips there is a train schedule that departs at 10.00, 12.00 and 14.00.

Guided tours are available, providing historical insights into the development of railways in Indonesia, the significance of the museum, and details about the locomotives and other exhibits. The museum’s vintage locomotives and scenic surroundings make it a great spot for photography enthusiasts to capture historical and picturesque moments. The museum offers the opportunity to rent the vintage train for special occasions, providing a unique setting for events such as weddings, corporate gatherings, or educational trips.

her dads have her paintings hung up all around their homes, the walls of slime's house are absolutely covered in her little drawings and paintings, as in they are ON the walls -- (he thought 'the property value is shit anyway, maybe when flippa is a famous artist we can sell this house and buy a massive ass mansion') -- , but mariana just has them on paper, as his house is actually nice -- (he thinks it would look nicer with juana's art all over it but he might need to sell his house one day and no matter how nice her art is it will lower the property value, and he would NEVER paint over them either) -- but he thinks that having drawings on paper is better as he can take them with him wherever he goes :)

he is part slime so some of him is just made of it, his left cheek, the middle and lower part of his right leg, almost the entire left half of his torso and the lower part of his left arm are slime -- (meaning you can see his skeleton in these places but shhh this is irrelevant rn) -- . but due to his gelatinous body, specifically on his left arm, it means that heavy things, like a metal wedding ring, will sink right through him and end up catching on his bone

Okayyy, so in here Naruto wearing Javanese traditional attire for man, beskap, batik fabric, and blangkon for his headpiece.

I’m a little bit afraid for the suitability of the batik’s pattern because even tho this attire from my own country, but I’m not really familiar with the pattern and it’s usually have some rules about what pattern to use, in what event we can used it, and even who can use it. Each pattern have their own meaning and philosophy.

This batik pattern known as “sidoasih” pattern, originally from Central Java. Sido means “being or constantly ” while asih means “love/precious”. This pattern consist of house, flowers, and leaves.

I actually made other work related to my own culture (basically because of 2021 NHMonth’s prompt, All Around the World) but at that time it just a concept and just started making arts recently (I want to post it for last year, but I'm kinda slow working on it and not confident enough to post it😂. I hope I can finish it and show it to you all).

Some 60 years after he was plucked from the sea off Sumatra by a Royal Navy destroyer, Norman "Dickie" Richardson meets his rescuer at Buckingham Palace. The men are older, but their memories are fresh and vivid as they launch into wartime reminiscences.

They first met during the largest air strike ever launched by the Royal Navy. Planes from four aircraft carriers of the British Pacific Fleet launched a decisive attack on two Japanese-held oil refineries on Sumatra, causing damage which virtually stopped the supply of fuel to South-East Asia, a crucial factor in bringing about the end of the war in the Pacific.

But there was a cost for the attackers. "It was a bit on the dangerous side" says Dickie, recalling the obstacles faced - balloon cables, anti-aircraft fire and Japanese fighters, one of which shot his plane down.

The plane was hit in the hydraulics, and a fire broke out on board. Underpowered and rapidly losing height, Dickie and his pilot, Roy "Gus" Halliday, made for the Java Sea where the plane crashed. The previously untold story of how they survived is recounted in a BBC Radio 4 documentary.

All but sunk

"I was relieved to make it over the jungle - you didn't want to crash there. Aside from the wild animals, there were a lot of wild people as well," says Dickie, who says captured aircrews faced beheading and torture by the Japanese.

The plane hit the water about a mile from HMS Whelp, part of Force 63, a group of destroyers whose job it was to patrol the waters around Sumatra.

As the downed men struggled to inflate their life raft, and with the plane rapidly filling with water, the first lieutenant of Whelp dispatched a rescue boat to haul them to safety.

"The first lieutenant was leaning over the rail and introduced himself as Lieutenant Philip," recalls Dickie. He arranged clean, dry clothes for them, and ensured they were fed and watered. At the time, they had no idea who he was - but his friendliness and efficiency remained with them.

It was some time later that Dickie discovered the true identity of his rescuer when a friend told him about the framed picture of Elizabeth that Prince Philip had in his private cabin. The royal wedding would be two years later and at the time, he was still Philip Mountbatten, Prince of Greece, aged 23.

Close to the throne

Halliday also recalls the first meeting: "He didn't explain that he was very closely connected to Buckingham Palace - he was very discreet."

He became friendly with Prince Philip on the passage to Western Australia. "He was willing to talk about anything that might interest two blokes who - let's face it - were of a very similar age. Still are."

The 21-year-old pilot went on to become Vice-Admiral Sir Roy Halliday, but not until after one more royal rescue. Upon arrival in Freemantle, Prince Philip took him ashore for some celebratory drinks - and ensuring that he made it back to the ship after a number of customary rums.

The men retain a humility and modesty about their roles, seeing themselves as just one of many fighting to bring about peace. As Prince Philip recalls of his part in the rescue: "I was just another naval officer."

Currently learning: python! It was the first programming language I learned, but after I self-studied through the basics of conditionals, loops, arrays etc, I switched to Java and went deep into OOP. By trade, I am currently a C# dev. But I got a really cool opportunity at work over the past six months to work with some really talented people on a data driven project, so I'm getting my feet wet with real production-ready python code and I really like it

Jewelry: I have a ring that might be called a wedding ring (though whether I had the wedding to match is a story for another ask) which is a hammered gold band with an opal. I wear it every day. I also have two rings that I had made with my breast milk set in resin. (Weird? Not sure but I busted my ass to breastfeed these kids lol) I got one after weaning each kid so they are a set.

Inspiration: the place that inspires me most is the Great Plains. Particularly something to do with the way we experience seasons here. I've been a pagan since I was a kid, and the Wheel of the Year feels very visceral, almost like spatial sequence synaesthesia, maybe. I don't know why, but everything I create comes from this place of feeling time move across the sweeping prairie. Can I justify this? The light is rose gold and the sky is towering and the heat perches over everything like a great bird of prey, until the wind giants come and swirl it away in a roar of thunder. I feel the spirit of the land like the buffalo-headed god from American Gods, or like Tom Bombadil, except she's an impossibly ancient grandmother with terrifying wisdom
