misc just dance character hc post bc i’m bored in the car and stuck in traffic

bunee is a decently popular streamer online. he has a very decked out streaming setup (as do most people in cyberfunk. they do NOT fuck around when it comes to computer setups) and plays a variety of games. for vibes, definitely very similar to ghcoffee. one frequent kind of stream he does is ranking outfits worn by celebrities at award shows and other big events.

asterina once did a motivational talk/panel at long inc.

padam padam takes place in the virtualscape… but lexy doesn’t know this. beforehand, she was an activist and one of nithe long’s biggest and most influential opposers. due to this, she was one of few coaches who had her memory wiped when sent there, and her map is more isolated from other areas in the virtualscape.

unai, zoey, urban, and lukas are all coworkers at a fun center in dancity, a building that houses multiple attractions. unai runs the roller rink, zoey runs bowling, and urban and lukas work the prize counter, while also subbing in for absent coworkers occasionally (this is due to both of them being newer hires).

ruben once did a summer internship at arty’s muesum for part of his degree.

si’ha nova has been long time best friends of kaa’rik and masi’el for years. the traveler is also friends with them, but he’s not as close. the four of them have occasional get-togethers.

Just Dance Theory: Another Coach In The Virtualscape

From what we know about the Virtualscape, it features lots of geometric shapes, and traps coaches in tight spaces.

You know which map fits that description?

That’s right, The Greatest.

I mean, look at these moves and tell me they’re not the same exact moves that Clementine used in Can’t Tame Her.

I think The Greatest coach (who I will call Greta) was trapped by Nithe Long as well, probably after finding some dirt on her. My theory is that she was a reporter working on a story about what Long Inc. does behind the scenes. We know that reporters and journalists exist in the danceverses thanks to the new Yakini avatar:

I think the two were friends, and Yakini may have been the one to help Greta escape the Virtualscape.

Nithe Long wanted to expand her business, and tried setting up a factory in an unoccupied part of Wasterra. Sadly, she then learned why it was unoccupied, the conditions there were far too rough for any people to manage. A robot worker was sent to help the people working there, but when it got to the factory, everyone had already gone away... Without any people around, and with Long inc. giving up the Wasterra project, Beedabop continues to work on a project long since abandoned.

Hello Mr. Cygnus ! Do you happen to know who created/built Beedabop ? You're a master maker/engineer so I thought you could have an idea.

Cygnus: Oh, yes. It's not exactly easy to miss a major company like Long Inc. trying to extend operations into other Danceverses.

Sara: Wait... what's Long Inc.?

Cygnus: Biggest company in Cyberfunk, ran by Nithe Long-

Sara: Ohhhh, right, New World, got it.

Cygnus: ...right. Well, from what I heard, their attempt to go into Wasterra was a complete failure. That poor robot's just abandoned there.

Sara: Aw... Well, at least he seems pretty happy there?

Cygnus: That's how most Long Inc. robots are programmed to be.

Sara: Oh...

Another headcanon i've had for a while would be that the white noise coach was kapyy when he was younger when he snuck out behind nithe long's back so quick doodle whilst i'm working on the actual drawing i'm doing of him. (Yes this is part of the twins headcanon)

To keep this short, Nithe Long kidnapped him at birth and basically used him as a pawn to get back at his father (because she couldn’t take control of him), forcing him to perform. One night at 16 he snuck out just for some kind of freedom (white noise). I'm good extreme is the one time when he was genuinely happy.

Another part is between the two maps, he had a late growth spurt (that really just made him lankier) and at this point he knows that he has an actual family but isn't too sure who or where they are, but the virtualscape file of Blinding Lights extreme was privated by Nithe long so he has one clue.

This made me realise that most age headcanons i have are in the early 20s (Kapyy, Talia, the guard, Joy-ce, with three being 20 exactly) or for a kid they are 15, but for the likes of Pulse, Chul and jopping they'd be in their late 20s (roughly 27/28).

me when i’ve been so au pilled that i forgot about the main characters 💔 i’ve thought about it but i really don’t have much here bc i have not thought about their character dynamics in a hot minute and also lowk i don’t think they would have many friends outside the just dancers and master panda. i do however bring you one

nithe long: mihaly’s never met them but they would absolutely love to roundhouse kick her ass if they got the chance. they strongly disagree w her philosophies, and part of the reason why they stopped following leda was because they started to see similarities between the two
