THERE WAS NOTHING MORE MAGNIFICENT to Shi’al than this fact, which still BAFFLED her to no end. Before her stood HISTORY BROUGHT TO LIFE — a piece of herself that Shi’al never thought she would have the opportunity to meet. The gentle SONGBIRD lifted her head from Drak’s side, allowing her soul to indulge in the SIMPLE PLEASURE of gazing into his mesmerizing eyes. No matter how grounded in REALITY that this moment appeared, she feared it was TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. Nevertheless, his words soothed her troubled soul.

⠀Drak was rewarded for his honest efforts with a small smile from Shi’al, who stood on her tip toes in a Herculean struggle to rest a trembling hand upon his shoulder. Unable to achieve this goal due to her small stature, manicured fingers instead acquired sanctuary atop Drak’s chest — positioned, ironically, near the heart that she knew just as well as her own.

“I thought … I thought you were going to remain just a dream forever. You were a mere memory — an illusion that my mind created to offer myself some semblance of comfort in these difficult times.” Shi’al admitted, swallowing thickly. “Now that you’re here and now that I see that you’re real, I don’t quite know what precisely to do with myself.”

How long had she been pacing? Enough that the slow ache in her hip had spread down her leg, forcing her to acknowledge it. Somewhere in the back of her mind, she contemplated a stim to ease the pain. A thought she'd immediately found upsetting; not for an overabundance of pride, but she wanted to see what her baseline was. War wounds were deceptive beasts, and she'd enough of them to spare.

Ah, perhaps a part of it was indeed pride. This next mission entailed working closely with an esteemed Jedi, one who's namesake far surpassed any other she'd worked with. Not relieved in the least, in her off-time hobby of research and cultural appreciation. While she knew that the true weight of Barsen'thor could only be realized by Jedi, she was impressed.

And she wanted to be impressive herself. A captain of Havoc Squad, she'd been steadily weaving a reputation herself, and Liora hoped to not disappoint. All thoughts of such pushed away at the sound of an opening door and footsteps, standing at attention.

"It's an honor to report for duty, sir."

One moment it was fine, then Revan found his hand around a throat, drowning in his rage. He didn't recall what started this, just that he was angry- so, so angry! He could feel vaguely the alarm from distant presences, but he was distracted by the wave of Force, skittering along his skin- light, not darkness, not the piercing bite of lightning- where was he? As abruptly as he had grasped the- the- the Jedi, he had grabbed a Jedi- he lets go. The rage drains from him and horror takes its place as he falls to his knees.

"I-" Revan breathes out shakily, "I'm sorry." He knew he hadn't come away from his ordeal as the Emperor's prisoner undamaged, but not to this extent. To attack an ally... an innocent... Revan bows his head towards the Barsen'thor.

The gloved hand around his throat only makes Drakic give a slight grimace - he is used to this treatment, but Sith + imperials alike. The famous Barsen'thor of the Jedi Order always managed to get choked within an inch of his life, until the Force was pulsing in black spots around him.

And this time? Drakic Tydlr was being held up by someone familiar. Revan. The prodigal son of the Jedi Order that managed to understand the Force in its entirety.

"Let me go," he choked out, sent a pulse of the Force. Golden waves of light surrounded the pair, and a rock menacingly lifted from the ground, hanging over Revan's head.

Giving him a dry look, Zian huffs out, "I'm perfectly fine with heights thanks." He'd make a poor Guardian if he was afraid of heights. No, it was the frankly appalling 'path' that they had to take that had him hesitating. It looked narrow enough that Zian was concerned Drak wouldn't fit.

"If you think I'd consent to be hauled around like cargo, you don't know me as well as you thought. Besides," he points out, "carrying me would be crazy. What if the path crumbles with our combined weight?" Zian edges to the path and gingerly steps out onto it.
