That's beautiful. Just... what a beautiful handling of that feeling and that expression and that pain as realizing that your place in someone else's life is a secret and that means you don't have a place in their life.

This apology hurt more than anything else because it's anger and it's sadness and it's pain and it's everything about hating part of yourself because it makes your love impossible and not because you really hate it at all.

And the pain of being in the closet. The pain of being a secret. The pain of being unable to be who you are to the people you most want to know and to see you as a whole

But also the pain of this. Of patience and breaking your own heart trying to be the piece that fits into his life somehow but also doesn't fit because his life has been shaped around you being a secret that's always there.

(And then the coming out in the worst way, the coming out where it's obvious that he's being rejected by the people around him rather than coming out to safer people or at least discussing it before doing it, just sideswiping Pok with an outing to homophobic teammates is... a lot.)

"Hidden Agenda" episode 9...

Hidden agenda is working for me. I like it better than Star and sky. I don't know if for the increased experience of its actors or a better script.

Anon, *whispers* I loved Star & Sky!

I love the constant beef between Fah and Kluen.

And that Daonuea did nothing to squash it (because I secretly think he wanted Fah to harp on Kluen about all the times he had Daonuea crying over him) while Prince was always stepping in to calm Fah down.

I love the couple's shirts and the couple's necklaces AND THE COUPLE'S VACATION, and that everyone got engaged. Oh, and I love that Fah was still being a passive-aggressive asshole towards Kluen to the very end.

So I was sad that Fah and Prince weren't back for the Our Skyy installment (which is probably because Mek is no longer with GMMTV), that Noel was missing (probably because Thor was serving in the monkhood), and that Sean x Maithee didn't set sail (since Satang x Winny and Pawin x Marc seem to be on the train to be paired together again).

I'm going to love anything Joong and Dunk are in, which is partly why I was so willing to watch The Warp Effect beyond Jojo, which I loved.

But I'm hoping that regardless of how Hidden Agenda pans out, that it won't get a special episode or be a part of Our Skyy 15 when the time comes because I need a complete story within the season.

I need Zo to be clueless that Joke likes him and be super upset when he figures out that even his friend(s) was involved in this scheme.

I need Pok and Jeng's arc to begin next week.

I need Kot to tell Pat that he is pro kissing-the-homies.

And I need to know why Wave and Trin have so much sexual tension between them yet have never been in the same room together so far.

I need everything RIGHT NOW!

But I don't need a special episode.

Hidden Agenda was sweet - of course it was, it had Joong making eyes at Dunk for 12 hour long episodes (although, frankly, it could easily have been 10 x 40 min eps) and was just uni boys in their feels with a few family issues and non-communication tropes thrown in - it could well have been made at any point in the past 3 years. Just a nice, easy BL.

A few notes though:

Joke's condo was an aggressively macho place all black, mirrors and gold trim. Didn't suit him AT ALL - it screamed mafia scion. I shall await its inevitable return in either the upcoming vamp or gangster series (I'm looking at you Red Peafowl).

Joong has the best shaped eyebrows in the biz - they are perfectly sculpted.

Why was Zo so upset with Joke getting Pat to help him when that's exactly what he was doing with Joke when he was after Nita?

Jeng and Pok are sweet - could have spent some of the extra time on them. Jeng's actor looks like younger brother of actor who plays Trin.

And finally, what the hell was going on with Joke's dad in the final ep? Absolutely vile - wanting Zo to confirm Joke was basically a waste of space then a complete about face - 'i was always proud of you" ????? Fucker.

Still, always worth watching Joong and Dunk playing cute because, well, they're very good at it and they are very pretty to look at. Shallow? Me?

The want, even the need to be able to open and out about his relationship... and the wish that he didn't have to worry about who would judge them and how.

And this also goes back, very strongly, to the start when it's Joke who pulls them out of the closet to show Zo that there are relationships around them that match what he wants...but still knowing that they're in the closet makes this more complicated. Jeng obviously agreed to this, to being outted to Zo about his relationship, but does Pok know that?

So this isn't just about Joke and Zo, even for Joke. This is about the people around them as well. How many hidden agendas does Joke have? How many people are helping him not knowing that he's also trying to help them?

Joke is definitely encouraging him to come out of the closet and to stop holding onto secrets while he holds onto so many secrets he might as well bury himself in them. Honestly, it's a great facet of his character. Joke gives very good advice but it's often the exact advice he's not taking himself.

I start to worry. What is Jeng's hidden agenda? Does he want to start fake dating a girl to hide his relationship? Is he testing how well Pok can handle that idea?

Or am I just reading too much into this?

Cons: You’ll have to hide your relationship which will likely cause you both a lot of stress.

My impression of him is very easy going and easy to be around but I don’t know if I could handle the secrecy. I would choose to smash but not date at this point.
