I am thinking a lot about the Sun and Nuea sex scene we started with, tying up Sun in Nuea's body while Nuea tries to seduce Sun in his body and how many aspects of their broken relationship are reflected in that. But also how much of their love keeps being reflected in all the ways they try (or tie, lol).

Because one of the biggest problems in this relationship is that Sun does not love himself. Sun doesn't even like himself. And he is made very, very uncomfortable by the idea of loving himself or taking care of himself. He doesn't want to take care of himself. Sometimes he seeks comfort for his own insecurity but he's so, so quick to insult himself and to reject himself.

But because the two of them have such poor communication despite their love for each other... Sun rejecting himself is also constantly coming across as him rejecting Nuea.

(Look, we don't have any good moments of Nuea's internal monologue at this point! All we have is Sun's deep insecurities and fear of his own insecurity and the way he always reacts ends up leaving Nuea rejected because Sun rejecting himself necessitates rejecting, in some ways, the love Nuea has for him.)

Sun stares at Nuea and he loves Nuea so much he cannot handle Nuea's love for him. It's the most love-broken relationship in the world because it's broken by their love for each other and how much they each hurt because they don't love themselves. And that's part of what's so broken in their relationship. They love the other person but without also loving themselves... they just keep hurting each other. And it's happened both ways now, from Sun's deepseated insecurity and from Nuea's fear of his family.

But neither of them ever talks about it. They just bury it under their love for each other as if loving the other person will be enough no matter how much they hate themselves.

What a good moment. What a perfect moment. That he claims this for them to his family, knowing what could happen and finally claiming himself as a whole person... and then the shows goes 'but also fuck him he takes him boyfriend home in a coma forever' and I don't appreciate that. And, no, the ex and the twitching finger are not enough.

My Sweet Brother In Law is a very interesting look at cheating... what happens if two people who married for all the wrong reasons into a loveless marriage end up cheating? What happens and who gets to judge when a gay man marries a woman for the sake of his familial duties and then falls in love with a man but can't leave her? What happens when their love is revealed and they have to face society? And is it truly cheating if neither person loves the other and are only together for the sake of duty and money? And especially when both people are cheating!

The hardest part is how in love they are despite how many secrets they keep and how much they cling to their own preconceived notions of themselves.

Sun doesn't deserve it at all but he needs it and they both need it because neither of them is capable of facing that the other is insecure. Because Nuea would the first to defend Sun in this moment but Sun would never defend himself.

These men need to talk so badly and it's a problem because, yes, sex temporarily solves their issues but it's all temporary each and every time and it doesn't touch on any of their deeper issues or why all of this is happening in the first place. They love each other so damn much but they just can't talk to each other despite it and it's painful because they haven't figured that out yet.

Because it's not about the sex. It's about feeling connected and loved by the other person and comfortable in their relationship and each time one of them loses that feeling... and they constantly lose that feeling because despite their love for each other they both struggle with finding their worth in the relationship.

I am going to cry so hard when they switch back because Nuea's fashion looks so good on him. Please.

Max is a lot better at this body switch than Nat is. I feel weird about that. But Max's body language and facial expressions really change when he's supposed to be Nuea whereas I feel like Nat's Sun is just... the same. He doesn't feel like Sun. At least not to me. I dunno. Watching them... I always know who is Nuea but I don't know who's Sun... I do but only when they're together.

Like I just can't picture Sun sitting like that but I can picture Nuea sitting like that... I dunno, y'all.

The look of devastation on Kim's face when he realizes that Kenta is being captured specifically because he came, that Kenta was captured protecting him when he went along to try and make sure he was safe and not alone and now Kenta is alone and captured and Kim cannot let that be because he's seen Kenta in a safe place, seen him comfortable and happy and and he cannot ever let Kenta go back to the way he was when they first met. And that's beautiful because it's everything Kenta deserves, someone to rescue him and someone who not only wants to rescue but also genuinely wants to see him happy, wants to see him relax, wants to see him in all the warm and comfortable places he never had before.
