I saw this brilliant cover and immediately knew that I wanted to read it! Star rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Spice : 🌶️🌶️🌶️ The story basically revolves around the travel enthusiast and travelogue writer , Kate Fletcher and her high school best friend - the then unnoticeable - but now a version of Chris Hemsworth, Brody Hawthorne . Kate and Brody were inseparable as teenagers. She was basically raised in the Stonebrook farm estate that belonged to Brody's family. But years after leaving her hometown and losing all her contacts with Brody , Kate decides to spend the summer in her hometown. She knew it'll be tough for her to spend almost three months in her childhood home. She fears that the memories in her old house , the streets , the farm estate would haunt her. But when she finally meets Brody - who is a totally changed person, she realises it is actually her heart that needs shelter. The book guides us through her stay with Brody over the summer months and what happens when the pair fight their fears and ultimately kiss each other. Based in a suburban area of Silver Creek this book is a classic when it comes to a rom com! The Hawthorne family is absolutely adorable and so warm , that you can actually picture them vividly! Jenny Proctor has beautifully portrayed each character and really developed each throughout the entire length of the book. She sparked life into Kate and Brody's relationship that was so much more than just a friends to lovers romance . The book is a complete package of romance, laughter, humour and family life and one should definitely pick it up! Happy Reading .
