“Alive and kicking, what’d ya expect?” comes the ever playful voice of an aged Haru. Her red hair has faded with time, now she was sporting it at a shorter length. 

A decorative quilt was unfolded upon her lap, the patches held images of swords and her favorite flower. The deck of  her precious duel monsters sat upon the table, a set of regular play cards next to them. 

“Life has been a little quiet but I’m keeping busy,” she grins, moving around some of the cards. Her little game of solitaire wasn’t as flashy as the duels she encountered in her youth. But her duel spirits seemed content to watch on as she played.

--- The strawerry blonde male saw it coming, but couldn’t evade it in these bustling streets. Despite wearing his favourite coat and even his gloves, a feeling of fear and disgust enveloped him as a stranger bumped into him. Germs. He inhaled harshly, eyes widening briefly and soon turning into an irritated expression. “...Please watch where you’re going..!” He exhaled shakily, gazing uneasily at the unknown male.

     Yukio tossed a water bottle at Jesse and took a seat at his computer chair before he      twisted his cap open. He took a drink of water and leaned back against his chair. 

“ So how has it been man?” 

     He closed his bottle and set it next to his computer which was behind his seat and played      a muted Big Hero 6 on his screen. The young man didn’t mean to look so slept in, but after      playing League to 3 AM it was harder to wake up like a normal human than he had thought.

The only thing they had in common was their teal hair. To be fair, some had claimed that Syrus locks were actually cyan or a very bright blue with a hint of turquoise; but even so, there was barely anything else resembling the other student. The younger Truesdale watched the every move of the other from across the Obelisk Blue dining hall, already hesitantly eating some fish, too distracted every now and then by observing. 

Jesse was energetic and curious. Syrus only shared the eagerness for the unknown to a certain extend, and would more often act on the base of being motivated by someone else than his own drive to get things settled. Jesse used beast cards, animals, while Syrus had taken up using machine ones and never put that theme down again. What connected them at the end of the day was their respective relationship with Jaden, and as stained as it had been by the past events in the other dimension this remained mostly unchanged. Syrus swallowed a piece of salmon before getting up from his seat, extending one arm to wave towards the older. “Hey Jesse, over here!”

Cheria hurried home after class was over. It surely was good to live quite close to your working place. As she unlocked her front door, she rean inside her apartment and closed the door with a soft kick while proceeding to her room. She looked for her changing clothes in her wardrobe, since she couldn’t go to her other job with out.

After a few minutes of looking for it, she finally found it. She still didn’t know, why she couldn’t remember putting it there. Normally she put it on a chair, so she could just grab it and leave again. Quickly taking a bag with her on her way to the front door, she put her clothes in the it and left her apartment just as fast as she got there.

About 20 minutes passed until she stood in front of a small restaurant, breathing heavily from all the running. She already couldn’t wait to be home again and lay down in her bed to sleep. But that dream sadly had to wait for another 5 hours.

Entering the restaurant, she greeted the employees with a quick bow and left to the changing room, putting on her waitress outfit. In her mind, she was still stuck in the art lessons she had with Jesse just half an hour ago. It was really fun to work with him. And the children also were really nice. Surprisingly she even got along with them quite well from the first day on.

When she was done changing, she put the thoughts about her class aside and fully concentrated on this job now. She greeted every single guest with a bright and friendly smile and then guided them to their seats. Soon she’d have to switch placed with one of the other waitresses, so she could take orders from some of the guests too.

As that time was about to come, a blue haired men entered the restaurant.  Like usually she gave him the same smile as she did with the other guests and greeted him with a small bow. “Welcome, Sir. It’s nice to have you here in our comfortable restaurant.”

Ryou had stared at it for a while now, and at the end he couldn’t resist as the question tugged on his lips. “Um...This duel disk-” Starting unsteadily, he pointed towards the device on the other’s forearm. “It has an interesting shape- Did you personalize it by yourself?”

Laura's really great. We first talked about a year and a half ago and things were really polite back then. Little mayflowerxxx was a great ygo blogger, and I saw her being reblogged a lot on my dash so I was all yoooooo and I follows her. And then we actually sent in asks from those reblogging for asks things. And things led to other things, and before long we were married 748393 times. But we had to make it official. 365 days ago we became Facebook married. And one year later we are still married. And she's just really amazing. One of the best people alive. She's super friendly and really pretty and amazing at drawing and super cute and just wow. Everyone should follow her and talk to her because I love her.
