Jimmy
Tumblr media Tumblr media
IS A FAG
uhh he is really mean to Charlie (his roommate and best friend), he's 32 as of now, he is incredibly self centered and has the mindset that everyone wants to make him happy. He is a total dick to Charlie especially when Charlie's working on album art for jimmy. Jimmy is a musician and makes music online but hes anonymous. It's mostly piano and violin with some digital sounds added in, but it sounds great.
Jimmy's 5'5". Short ass
Jimmy doesn't do romance really. But he fucks, a lot. He avoids getting too close to anyone but Charlie because he is honestly constantly guilty for how he treats the people close to him but he just can't stop. Which is entirely on him, but he loves acting like it's the other persons fault. He feels like all odds are stacked against him even though he's the one mistreating people and its no one's fault but his own.
Still, a lot of people love him and he knows it. He loves it.

Republicans for Kamala is taking off and includes some high profile former office holders and staffers. This is more than just the usual handful of mid level and obscure officials.
At least three former governors including Jim Edgar of Illinois (1991-1999) have publicly announced their support for the candidacy of Vice President Kamala Harris.
Nine days into her 2024 candidacy, Vice President Kamala Harris picked a couple of notable Republican endorsements: Former Georgia Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan threw his support behind the Democrat fairly quickly, and John Giles, the mayor of Mesa, Arizona’s third-largest city, endorsed her soon after. Given the state of the cotemporary GOP, it’s not easy for any Democratic candidate to pick up cross-party backing, so this represented a decent start. But hanging overhead was an obvious question: Would other Republicans soon follow? The question received a rather emphatic answer over the weekend. NBC News reported: >> The Harris campaign on Sunday unveiled more than two dozen endorsements from Republicans, including former governors, members of Congress and Trump administration officials. Many of the endorsements came from politicians who were already openly critical of former President Donald Trump, including former Republican Gov. Bill Weld of Massachusetts; former Rep. Denver Riggleman, R-Va.; and former Trump administration press secretary Stephanie Grisham.<< Those names are, of course, just a sampling. According to a press statement from the incumbent vice president’s campaign, Republicans for Harris includes endorsements from former Trump White House officials Stephanie Grisham and Olivia Troye; former Secretaries Chuck Hagel and Ray LaHood; former Governors Jim Edgar, Bill Weld, and Christine Todd Whitman; former U.S. House members Rod Chandler, Tom Coleman, Dave Emery, Wayne Gilchrest, Jim Greenwood, Adam Kinzinger, John LeBoutillier, Susan Molinari, Jack Quinn, Denver Riggleman, Claudine Schneider, Christopher Shays, Peter Smith, Alan Steelman, David Trott, and Joe Walsh; and former GOP State Chair and State Senator Chris Vance, among others. “As a proud conservative, I never thought I’d be endorsing a Democrat for President,” Kinzinger said in a written statement. “But, I know Vice President Harris will defend our democracy and ensure Donald Trump never returns to the White House. Donald Trump poses a direct threat to fundamental American values. He only cares about himself, and his pursuit of power. “That’s what we saw on January 6 when he sent a mob to overturn our lawful election, who violently attacked law enforcement and ransacked our nation’s Capitol in the process,” the former member of the Jan. 6 committee added. “There’s too much at stake to sit on the sidelines, which is why I wholeheartedly endorse Kamala Harris for president. Now is the time for us all to unite to save our democracy and defeat Donald Trump one last time.”

Day 19, August 2, Friday - Mayor Rogers is reported in the press to be going after Robespierre, asking the Prosecutor's Office to check his statements for extremism. But all Robespierre was reported to be saying is that he is "wealthy, but deeply unhappy". So where the extremism comes in, I'm not too sure...
On the topic of Mayor Rogers, his office City Hall comes in with a directive to Jack that we must have 3 Asian officers working on 5th August, when a Japanese businessman intending to sign a major contract with Freeburg will be visiting its many institutions, including Freeburg Police Department.
Big chunks of cash roll in today in the form of Cocaine sales of $5,119 (which we share 50% with the staff), Jack's weekly salary of $1,320, as well as the weekly salary of our undeclared dead employee, Officer Yancey, coming up to $400 which we take everything. This is depressing, as now we know our officers are paid only $1,600 in total every month.

Our big crime of the day is a "Bomb Threat" at St. John's Cathedral in the middle of Mass, where a lumberjack by the name of Grisham Frank planted a bomb in the Cathedral because the priest convinced his recently-deceased wife against medical treatment at the hospital and to rely on God's help instead. Officers we sent on the scene discover an improvised explosive device under a pew near the altar, and the bomb squad does not begin defusing until everyone at Mass had been evacuated.

Next, it was time to arrest Gregory Polzin at Kevin's Throat Bar, his old bar haunt. On an earlier playtime, I actually failed to arrest him and the offender fled. Gregory is an important gang member, so I reloaded my game save. And this time, I make sure to send my best, Officer Flores (500) together with newbie Officer Castile to train her up, and SWAT for the overkill.

Since we collected Officer Buck Yancey's paycheque today, we finally declare him dead. As his replacement, we hire Officer Jim Kendall (170) as he is the most experienced, even though he is neither a woman nor Asian.

In the middle of the day, a Tibetan Monk tries to get into the Police Department in order to preach to our cops about "the nature of violence", whatever that means. We of course refuse him entry, because who wants their cops to be brainwashed by some funny preacher in rags. We need our men (and women) to remain on the force, damn it!
Meanwhile, back-to-back requests from Sand for personnel to help with Varga's interception of a bus carrying Sand's new maids as well as Varga punks interruption of his hockey team's training session at the Ice Arena.
Tumblr media
Progress on the "Theft" investigation is complete, as we solve who the real suspect is: Rafael Campos, the museum security guard who did an inside job to sell the new painting that had everyone talking. Now, we just have to wait for tomorrow for Detective Simms to be on the job before we arrest Rafael.
Tumblr media
Sand is pulling ahead of Varga by a clear margin - 13 is to 7 - thanks to our help.

Framed: Astonishing True Stories of Wrongful Convictions
by John Grisham (Author), Jim McCloskey (Author)
Publisher ‏ : ‎ Doubleday (October 15, 2024
Hardcover ‏ : ‎ 368 pages
Thank you to NetGalley, Doubleday, John Grisham, & Jim McCloskey for providing this advance reader copy (ARC) of this book. I'm providing my honest review.
A miss for me. It's well researched, well written, and tone-deaf in 2024. I was aware of the Innocence Project but not Centurion Ministries, they both do good works and are needed in a society with an imperfect justice system. Still the best in the world but where there are people involved there is crime and mistakes, even in those we entrust our lives to. The stories provided are interesting and sad. They show good people done wrong and bad people unpunished. The years of Antifa & Black Lives Matter riots are behind us, thank goodness. Defund the police didn't work and crime soared. "Reforming" the justice system has let criminals run free or enter a revolving door scenario. If this book had been published in 2020 it might have made more of a social justice splash. In 2024 it's not as effective.
