When SGMB was released we out-streamed the first day and by the fourth had dropped below the other new release, resulting in that song reaching higher on the Billboard charts than SGMB did.

Please, please, please stream in as many places as you can. We need album equivalent units to make up for having fewer physical options.

We did amazing day one. To get Jimin the strongest debut possible we need to keep doing amazing all week long!

Stream the whole album from top to bottom 20 x and then switch to a new account and stream a ‘Who’ focused playlist that uses the album’s songs as filler tracks.

Listen, it is NOT a good look to have so many new content announcements in the middle of a member's ongoing promotions (if we can even call what they are doing 'promo'). These men share one fandom. Is it so hard to wait to open pre-orders for non-music content? Or is hybe simply that greedy for money?

Things needing immediate attention in MUSE era...

We have GOT to diversify streaming platforms. Last year as a present to myself I went ahead and purchased a premium family bundle (for 6 email accounts each) for YouTube/YT Music, Pandora, and Spotify--plus a premium Apple account hooked up to Stationhead, and I currently have free trials going for Tidal, Qobuz, and Amazon. Premium streams are essential for charts.

Every day I make clicking through playlists on all these platforms as part of my routine: before breakfast, at lunch, and before bed at a minimum.

We also need to be very diligent about voting. Once I sat myself down and took the time to download the apps, set up accounts, and watch a few YouTube tutorials about how to do it, it's actually pretty easy and usually only a once or twice a day sort of thing.

Then there are the polls that have unlimited voting. That is a numbers game, a war of attrition. So while I wait for my lunch to heat up? I vote. Stuck in a waiting room for an appointment? Voting. On the phone with someone who is just gabbing away? Uh huh, mm mhm, but clickity click, I'm voting the whole time. I aim to hit that Vote button about 100 times a day. All told, takes less than 5 minutes.

Also our boy just posted on Insta after 126 days of silence. Please interact with the story and show him the love!

All in all, I think we really need to get into a routine where we fire on all cylinders. Streaming parties, funding parties, outreach & hype parties... We are hyper-focused on Spotify and YouTube videos and that stuff is absolutely important, but it leaves too many gains on the table. Let's use every tool in the box, okay?

Finally, I want to wrap up this post with gratitude:

I know I encourage you guys a lot to push yourselves and work hard, and I don't mean to come off as your taskmaster, but rather as a cheerleader.

We took a mostly Korean song with an insultingly low level of promo, plus no ads, no playlisting, no radio, only one version, with less than a full week to chart, which dropped during a major US holiday -- and it's very likely it will land on the Hot 100. That is...outstanding.

If nothing else, Jimin will see that he's loved and appreciated and we have his back. Whatever the assholes online try to say about vpn and bots and other bullshit, it was your blood, sweat, and tears that gave Jimin his well-deserved seat at an otherwise unwelcoming industry table. I'm so grateful to you and to this community for that.

We all know that Jimin is organic, authentic, and uniquely talented, and therefore isn't even in competition with anyone else. But we can still get him some good wins. What we do for him, we do out of love--not obligation or bragging rights. His music and his artistry are a source of JOY!

Part of you wants to run away from her, not towards her as you knock on the library door. There's a soft throaty noise that you recognize as Tae's, inviting you to come in.

She clicks away on her computer, not looking up at you. You stand there in the doorway rocking on your heels for a moment. Her fingers fly across the keyboard, and her headphones are off one ear. Sometimes she gets so into her writing that her music shuts off and she forgets to turn it on. There is no hum coming from them and yet, she does not turn to you when you stand in the doorway.

“Tae?” she does not react, and your shoulders curl in, the ache of being a bother intensifying. Her clicking. You waiting. You wait until you can't any longer, the fear building-

“Mommy?”

Tae stops immediately, her wide brown eyes coquettish in how she looks at you (like she doesn’t know exactly what you want. What you need). Her eyes flick down to your knocking knees.

She opens her arms and you sit on her lap, falling into her a little with how quickly you rush to be enveloped by her touch. Needy. You are always so needy for her. With Tae, it's hard to be self-conscious about it.

Since she’s been spending so much time at home, she’s taken to wearing her flimsy little nightdresses at all hours of the day. Today's dress is white with cream-colored lace, down to her knees, rucked up by your sitting. Fuzzy slippers at the bottom and a thick robe that she’s been in all morning over top. She probably doesn't even realize that it's midday, as focused and as dedicated as she is.

You nuzzle into the collar where her robe has soaked up her scent more. And the hickeys that you left there yesterday, teasing at them with your teeth.

You know she kinda misses getting ready every day, that she misses doing her makeup and leaving for work like the rest of them. You’d promised that you’d accompany her to a coffee shop one day this week that you didn’t have therapy. Just so that she could get out of the house.

All of this takes adjustments. You’re both learning to ask for what you want and to endure what you know you need.

Therapy. The clock says that you have exactly 2 more hours until you need to leave with Jiminie but he’s not home yet. He’s not home yet and neither is Yoongi but your brain is swimming. Knots in your tummy. You don't want to go, you don't want to not go either and you don't know how to stop feeling this way.

“I don’t want to bother you, if you want to go back to writing you can- I’ll just-"

Tae catches your chin in her manicured hand, “What do you need.” It’s more of a command than a question. You sit there and Tae’s looking. Scrutinizing you, breaking you down with just a single look.

Your arms tighten around her shoulders, clinging to her when it becomes clear your neediness hasn’t escaped her notice. This thing clawing at your chest needs to be settled, to be constrained, it's something she can handle.

It comes out of you in a rush, a franticness to your scent that isn’t becoming of Tae’s softest little pup. “Can you make my brain shut off please?”

No sooner have the words slipped from your lips than Tae’s hands lace through your hair and tug hard. A taught breath bursts from you. Any other time you’d be ashamed of the noise you let out but she only purrs in contentment.

She pulls on your hair gently, making you arch your neck until you can't arch it anymore, like she's testing how far you're willing to go to obey her touch. Teasing your shoulders apart, making you not hunch without you consciously making the decision to shift your posture (one of these days, Jin and Tae really are going to posture train you, you have an unfortunate habit of hunching).

The kiss she plants in the hollow of your throat is nothing if not understanding. You're so pliant and malleable when you're overwhelmed. The breathless whine you let out is not sexual, there simply isn't room for any more wanting when the fullest breath of Tae’s dominance rushes over you like a wave.

Tae never raises her voice, never snaps. She doesn't need to to get you to do what she wants. Your eyes are glassy, looking at her when she lets you go, smiling at you as her fingers linger over your lips before she cups your jaw, fingers pressing hard into the joint until it opens. There you go pup, breathe.

“I’m going to tell you what to do, and it’s your job to do as I say pup, do you understand?”

“Yes Mommy.”

Pre Release of Travel Show Thoughts

This might be a bit all over the place 🙈

Just some random thoughts after talking with my friends.

Remember when Hope on the Street came out and it was on Amazon Prime. I think many of us were thinking that was the end of the set shows, programs etc that were gonna appear on Disney+ from BTS.

We’ve had a number of shows from the group since Chapter 2

I kinda forgot about their Disney deal when the talks of Jikook’s travel show started to become real. My friends and I started guessing if it would be on Weverse only, like Jimin’s Production Diary or on YouTube like Suchwita & Jin’s The Drunken Truth. We were hoping and praying it wouldn’t just be one Bangtan Episode or on a South Korean nft platform like the HYYH series Begins ≠ Youth.

To be honest we hoped for a Jikook YouTube Channel (still dreaming for one🥲), where after service they could come back and carry on with more adventures and content, but we would have settled for Prime too.

I say all of this to say, how come it’s on Disney+ again after the switch up with the last HYBE show Hope on the Street being on Prime?

It makes me wonder about the start of the show’s planning. Like Jungkook said in Suchwita it was kinda spontaneous and following a years old conversation between Jimin & Jungkook. Them seizing the opportunity of the both of them being together in New York, after Jimin went to support Jungkook’s solo debut performance.

I wonder about if Jikook knew if their application for companion enlistment had been approved yet. Many have covered in detail the program and the kinda 1 in 100 chance of getting approved for it. BTS already have done many unique things and why should their military service be any different, all members aiming to at one point in time be serving at the same time and have all completed their service to not have to worry about it again?

Anyway back to the the point 😅. As all the members wanted to enlist and return as one unit in 2025 and with Jimin being in his last year of eligibility due to age criteria, if they hadn’t have been approved Jikook wouldn’t have been certain of being together for their 18 month military service.

It makes me wonder about their plans. If they wanted to create as many memories as they could in as many places as they could together just in case they weren’t going to be able to enlist together.

If they wanted to take the moments in between the end of FACE promotions, the little gap at the start of SEVEN promotions and the gap in between the rest of GOLDEN’s recordings, MUSE’ recording and also squeezing some more travel at the end of GOLDEN promotions, Jungkook’s Japan promotions and the Usher remix video Jungkook had to do straight after Japan.

It feels to me like Jikook knew that regardless of if they did enlist together, they wouldn’t have been able to travel as a duo for a long time as if we can take Jim as an example, the members will most likely be going straight into OT7 work mode once they complete their service in 2025.

It feels to me like if Jikook hadn’t have gotten their companion enlistment approved, the travelogue was a was to permanently keep record of the many memories they wanted to make.

That with everything on Jungkook’s plate it wouldn’t be feasible for one GCF Tokyo style video like before.

For starters their travels were on a much larger scale than their 2017 trip to Tokyo.

Not just one hotel in one destination, walking around the city, visiting some shops restaurants and Disney but multiple countries, multiple hotels, villas, camping, kayaking, yachting, skiing, indoor adventures, restaurants etc

They are way more globally recognisable than in 2017 where there were still some sightings but not as many as if it was 2023.

Jungkook and Jimin literally had to squeeze these moments in between hectic schedules tight time constraints.

It makes sense that they would utilise their company to help with areas to visit to help with descretion, with bookings, as they’d have to book out whole villas, hotel floors, activity locations etc. it makes sense that because they’d need security.

which was a gift to Jimin from Jungkook, where Jungkook planned everything, paid for everything, filmed everything and edited and uploaded GCFT, this time round it was for both of them. Not for one to have to shoulder the planning, payments, filming and editing.

How would they coordinate everything in the midst of recordings, rehearsals and flying around the world for international promotions?

Their company and staff are still a company, whose main directive is to make money, beginning and end of it all.

I’m sure the company are nice enough to the members but how would such time, resources and expenses be written off if Jikook asked on the company to help them with security details, with flight planning, whole hotel floor booking, villa bookings, closing businesses down for the duration they wanted to visit or opening ski resorts up a day early etc.

Yes they are millionaires but I’m sure we all know millionaires who earned from the bottom up and are sensible with their money. We all know the members and joke about how they’ll wear expensive watches and clothes but still fight over a rice cooker as a prize or Jungkook take home hotel toiletries or ingredients from run cooking episodes etc

So for the company and staff to help Jikook make this a possibility in the time the had before enlistment how would it make sense financially? How would it benefit everyone? We know Jikook love sharing with army, Jungkook’s lives of 2023 show us, their predebut days of vlogging to now show us, Jungkook’s GCFT shows us. They share.

So a show, sure, Jikook are used to cameras, the members are able to retain their authenticity through they years since day one of being in front of a camera.

That’s it, I’ll stop cos otherwise I’ll keep on musing forever 😅

were you a jimin fan at some point? or am i misremembering?

I am definitely a Jimin fan. I think he's a rare talent and I sincerely hope he can escape the clutches of HYBE and go to a label that will nurture his talent and support his career properly.

Lots of people like to compare Jimin to Michael Jackson, but I think it's more apt to compare him to Madonna. Yes, she's super creepy these days, but at the height of her career, she was a cultural phenomenon and a style icon. Like Jimin, she started out as a dancer, and like Jimin, she left her dance studies to make it big (she dropped out of the University of Michigan and moved to New York City). She was full of ambition, fresh ideas, and an incredible work ethic. Michael Jackson, on the other hand, had no control over the trajectory of his young life in the music industry because it was all his parents' doing. And to be honest, despite his massive fame and success, his life was mired in controversy. Young people only seem to know about MJ as The King of Pop, but I don't think they realize the way he was ruthlessly hounded by the press - especially the tabloids. And to be honest, it was hard to keep up with some of his bizarre behaviors and his concerning obsession with plastic surgery. Was he a pedophile? Was he framed for money? Who knows, but I wouldn't wish Michael Jackson's life on anybody. I'm grateful for his incredible talent and the music/dance legacy he left, but he didn't have an easy life.

Back in the early days of Amazon Prime Video - when there was absolutely nothing on there to watch - I found an unauthorized documentary about Madonna made by her former boyfriend/housemate/bandmate. He was actually incredibly complimentary of her. He explained that Madonna wanted to be in his band, so she taught herself to play the drums! She wrote her own music. And, he said, she was so driven that it quickly became clear she had outgrown the band, who were happy with just having some modest success in NY bars.

Long story short, I see so many similarities between Jimin and Madonna. They both have a background in dance that makes them incredible performers. I love to watch Jimin dance. He is such a unique talent. Do non-dancers understand this? As you watch him dance, it is impossible to differentiate the dancer from the dance. He IS the choreography. He conveys so much emotion in every movement and every facial expression.

Madonna would completely reinvent herself from one album to the next. Lucky Star Madonna was nothing like Material Girl Madonna, let alone Vogue Madonna. Jimin is the same. From Promise, to Lie, to Serendipity, to Like Crazy, to SMFpt2, to Who, you never know what to expect from Jimin, but you can be sure he's put his whole heart and effort into creating a work of art. I love that fans have no idea what to expect from him next.

I'm rooting for Jimin! I can't wait to see what he does once he's finished with his military service. And I'd love to see him soar as an unfettered solo artist, assuming that's what he wants to do.

Guys, we're doing really, really well with only one version. But now is the time when lots of folks get back into work routines, or get complacent with their playlists due to fatigue.

We have GOT to buy from all stores, in addition to iTunes. And we need to BUY THE TRACKS SEPARATELY for BB200. If you need help with purchasing, JiminFunds is open. If you don't need help, please donate to JiminFunds.

If you order physicals online now, they will only ship in time for Week 2. So for now, you need to concentrate on either buying in person or digital sales. Don't neglect these stores, and remember that the BTS store has THREE DIGITAL ALBUM VERSIONS!

We have also GOT to diversify streaming platforms in addition to Spotify. I get it's a tough economy, but free trial premium streams count and you can go make a free account right now on Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer, Qobuz, Tidal and Pandora. We HAVE to use YouTube and YouTube Music. There's no way around it; it's necessary for charting. There's no reason not to take advantage of a free trial-- they remind you to cancel before you get charged!

Later on today we are going to get remixes and we MUST use them correctly. Stream the album top to bottom. Then the remixes. Use Face and other songs as filler. Switch accounts and keep going.

We also need to vote. This is the last chance for Jimin to get a Countdown trophy before they close up shop for the Olympics and, surprisingly, the competition is super high (because we don't have tons of versions). On March 24, Jimin released “Like Crazy” (with no features). "Like Crazy" didn't need a feature.

Outside of his work with BTS, Jimin’s highest-charting Hot 100 hit as a solo artist was “Set Me Free pt. 2,” his own song, at number 30.

There were a lot of noteworthy new songs coming out the Friday “Like Crazy” was released, including “Eyes Closed” by Ed Sheeran, “Spice Marley” by Spice and “Don't Play With It Remix” by Lola Brooke ft. Latto and Yung Miami. Not only that, but songs like “Flowers” (Miley Cyrus), “Last Night” (Morgan Wallen), “Kill Bill” (Sza) and “Die For You” (The Weeknd and Ariana Grande) continued to dominate streaming charts. With all that in mind, let’s take a closer look at how “Like Crazy” performed in its first week. The chart data for the seven days following March 24 was reflected in the Billboard chart dated April 04.

According to Billboard, “FACE” and "Like Crazy" massed 10 million streams and sold 234,000 units on the week of its release. According to Oricon, "FACE" recorded 222,120 sales on the first day, making it the 3rd album with the biggest first day sales. Jimin earned the BIGGEST First Week sales for a Korean album by a Korean Soloist in Oricon History. The album also dominated the Worldwide Apple Music Album Chart and all songs were top sellers in Digital Music New Release, Digital Music Best Seller, International New Release, and International Best Seller in Amazon Music USA. According to Melon, "Like Crazy" in its first day, peaked at #8 and maintained the position in the chart. After 24 hours, "Like Crazy" obtained almost 3 million streams on Melon. Even after months have passed by, the song continues to be streamed over 2.5 million times every day. So far, the song has been no.1 in 111 countries, setting the record for the most no.1 on iTunes in 2023.

It's pointless to compare "Like Crazy" to other Western Songs or Korean song because there is nothing like "Like Crazy". It is one of a kind.

The song is written in Korean and there is also an English version that should be combined but hasn't been despite other artists having theirs combined, this marks an even more historic debut for an Asian artist, and the fact that it had only 0.6m of radio airplay is reflecting that significance. A sultry club synth pop song was the last thing I was expecting among solo discographies of BTS members. But the fact that this song has become one of the biggest K-pop hits is beyong exciting. As K-pop continues to explore new themes and approaches, the bold move of “Like Crazy” and its early and ongoing success may serve as inspiration for the next generation of K-pop artists, even his own company, to take similar courageous steps.

Am I the only one that doesn't care that the production diary was released on wv and not some other platform? Since the travel show was announced to be on disney+ an hour ago all the pjms are complaining about the production diary not being on disney or amazon but I personally am not upset about it. Idk but it felt too personal to be on a big platform. I feel like jm had a very specific audience in mind for that doc and it wasn't the casual fans. It would be nice for jimin to be seen in that light by a wider audience but I can't bring myself to care that much. Do people even watch docs of someone they're not a fan of? The only non-bts music docs I think I have watched are the Beyonce ones and I am a Bey casual fan but I LOVE watching her perform so I'm not some random. Like do we think the jhope doc or the dday doc did numbers? I'm sure jimin one would have found a bigger audience but I think everyone who wants to watch it can find it pretty easily, even for free.

When I just got into BTS I used to have to dm random army accounts asking them where I could watch stuff. I don't think accessibility should be taken for granted. Why is everything else on Disney? Why not release everything on weverse, if it makes no difference?

It's okay to not care, but in your message you yourself say a couple of times that it would've been better for the face docu to have that reach. So I think you already know why some people complain. Anyways, my question is didn't some media say that BTS had a contract with Disney for a certain amount of shows? That was in like 2022 or early 2023. Have they already released all the previously agreed on shows, and this one is an "extra", or is this one part of the deal they already had?
