i think ochako leans towards the cutesy white ones with hints of pink. she doesn't mind being needy for attention so her whole outfit is super a-tier cute. but jirou probably gets the sheer black ones as an excuse to at least kind of match them with her outfits..... i think jirou is way more self-conscious about buying something so girly though so she can only really wear them at home.

if you go over to her place to surprise her, you don't even notice them. she has like character pjs on and a loose tanktop and she looks cool until you glance down and she's wearing lacy black socks with frills and bows and its such a stark difference you can't help but stare. oh i need to be put down IMMEDIATELY
