The Good Man Bad Man paintings were started about 17 years ago, when one of my sons asked me, “Dad, is he a good guy or a bad guy?” I said, “both”, then had to try and explain my answer. I did my first painting when Henry was ten and gave it to him. I’m still working on the answer, and the pieces. There are currently over four hundred in the series, some are large canvas’, (72x60)”), some medium sized like these for the opening tonight, (50x40”), all the way down to the smallest at 4”x5”. The work being exhibited at the JoAnne Artman Gallery, are coupled with imaginary paintings of women. The show is named Half Naked. @joanneartmangallery @rayturnerpopulation #paintings #oilpainting https://www.instagram.com/p/BnrH5delyih/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1gxhv9lu4duuk
