Anon that asked about my take on Joe & Ja'Marr here we go. Sorry I accidentally deleted the Ask as I tried to post this once and it messed up. 馃檭
I do want to start by saying I'm not into college football like I am the NFL. I'm more of a casual college football watcher and some weekends may not watch it all. I knew who Joe was in 2019 but really didn't know much else about LSU. In Cincinnati, teams in the SEC aren't on people's radar like Ohio State & UC (when they are good). Most of my Joe/Ja'Marr observations have came from their professional careers and from interviews and stuff I went back and watched from LSU.
I think I see it as a big brother/little brother dynamic. They look out for each other and Ja'Marr looks up to Joe. Joe helped Ja'Marr learn how to watch and dissect film after games. Ja'Marr teases Joe and can get away with it where a lot of other teammates can't. Joe is the serious one who's all business most of the time and Ja'Marr can come in and lighten the mood and get Joe to relax a little. Joe does internalize a lot of things and takes responsibility for any bad game. I think Ja'Marr helps him get past that and not let Joe get too much in his own head. I also feel like they can be around each other and not say much and just being in each other's presence is enough and no words are needed.
It is kind of funny that after other NFL teams saw the success that Joe & Ja'Marr were having, their bright idea was..."hey, just go get a wide receiver our QB played with in college and we'll be like the Bengals!" It hasn't really worked out for the other teams like it has Cincinnati. The relationship between Joe & Ja'Marr wasn't forced, it was built organically and that it isn't something that can just be replicated by anyone.
I also think it's great how close their families are and it's kind of funny both their dads are named Jimmy. Before the Saints game in 2022, I saw a media member (I cant remember exactly who) say they showed Ja'Marr's mom a pic of Joe walking in the stadium wearing Ja'Marr's LSU jersey as she had no idea that was happening until they told her and showed her the pic. They said she immediately got tears in her eyes.馃ス I think anyone curious about Joe and Ja'Marr's relationship should go check out any interviews Jimmy B. & Jimmy C. have done together as they give some insight on their sons. There are several on YouTube.
This article was really good that came out right before the Super Bowl in 2022 (馃挃) about their friendship.
I also am attaching some visual aids I find fun. The Tiktok video is from the KC game in January when Joe didn't play and Ja'Marr was having words with KC's whole defense. Someone said something to Ja'Marr after the game when they were walking back to the locker room and Joe didn't seem to appreciate it. He looked like he wanted to try UFC moves on someone even with a bad wrist.
In closing, I feel like they are both fiercely loyal to each other and their friendship is really important to them. I do hope someday we get an interview with them together as it would be fascinating to actually see their dynamic. Maybe we'll see some of that on Hard Knocks this season.
PLEASE TELL US THE FALL PREDICTIONS i am so fascinated by astrology but i can only kinda figure out the basics (like natal charts and synastry) but transits are so fascinating (and kinda complicated) and and i鈥檇 love to hear your interpretations of what鈥檚 coming up
omg, tbh my predictions are a bit vague rn!!
i haven't had time to sit down properly and map out any predictions
but
by the end of October, the nodes are changing signs! Ketu will be moving into Virgo, and Rahu will be entering Pisces (based on sidereal transits). players with a placement in Virgo and/or Pisces will transform in some way during this shift, guaranteed
i glanced a bit at joe's birth and moon chart as well as some of the other bengal's players, but my predictions are pretty general!
joe has his saturn + ketu in pisces and rahu in virgo. i def anticipate joe going through a career change/milestone, just taking his natal saturn into consideration alone. (already he's the NFLs highest paid player!)
saturn is the natural ruler of the 10H (career, public image) and 11H (house of gains!) so rahu transiting over it is going to inflate these matters, as well as the houses saturn rules in his chart. the nodes will also be going over his natal rahu/ketu, so there will def be a deep transformation. it will be a fun 18 months to watch but honestly... i anticipate joe receding MORE into hermit mode after a certain time lol
i wish i could say i had a better view of what's to come, but since i have 0 confirmed birth times, everything is just a foggy forecast:
TW: DARK ASTRO MENTIONS BELOW CUT
but since ketu will be entering virgo, i can see a lot of virgo (and Pisces) heavy players experiencing some kind of delay/injury when the season deepens.
i don't like making 'dark' predictions, but i will admit i'm a little worried for the these placements this year, at least on the field. basically anyone really good at carrying the ball, have dominant earth.
so ketu entering virgo will definitely force a few players to 'sit down' and 'reflect', as ketu is dissolution/detachment. so the theme of 'rehabilitation' will be at play.
then rahu entering pisces-- i keep ja'marr in the front of my mind for this transit lol, he has his mars in pisces! one of the very first things the older texts mention about this kind of transit, is that the native should control his anger.
maybe we might get to see some of the ufc moves joe taught him? lol
he should also be taking every precaution he can with his feet! as pisces rules this body part. no expense spared-- rahu can also cause accidents. but this depends on ja'marr's planet periods too. at 'best', ja'marr will probably find himself checking his temper more often 馃ぇ
and of course NOT ALL virgo/pisces placements will get hurt or injured! the nodes shifting promise a necessary change, the breaking of an illusion. it's cleaning out the rot, so i also anticipate a lot of success for these players!
i make these particular 'predictions' because of the nature of their job 馃挅
at the end of the presser today joe got asked if he tries ufc moves on jamarr and he said "we mess around every now and then" 馃槶
Let me tell you that I got this ask just as a giant work emergency started lmao. But knowing that I had this moment to look forward to got me through it 馃檹
First of all, thrilled Joe phrased it like that 馃檪
Secondly, it really makes you look back and realize how many insane things Ja'Marr has said since the season ended that, because he's been hiding away from the press for months, Joe hasn't had to answer for until now. So happy that that reporter was sitting on the "Ja'Marr said Joe randomly attacks him with UFC moves" bit of information for so long and decided to ask Joe about it today. We're truly blessed.
I also love that the press person cuts the questions off right after that. I like to think she did that knowing we cannot get into all the wild Joe and Ja'Marr shit without this press conference lasting hours. (What if the reporter was then going to ask about the Clothes Situation鈩笍 馃槵)
