CHICAGO — Democrats released their party platform document on Sunday, laying out more than 90 pages of policy priorities just one day before its convention kicks off. But the party platform was written and voted on by the Democratic National Convention’s Platform Committee before President Joe Biden dropped out of the race, and the document repeatedly highlights the president's achievements and positions — even when they differ slightly from Vice President Kamala Harris' comments. The platform refers to Biden’s “second term” more than a dozen times, underscoring the unprecedented timing of the top of the ticket shake-up.

The document was approved by the Platform Committee on July 16, just days before Biden bowed out of the race on July 21. Convention delegates will vote on the platform Monday night, a largely ceremonial procedure.  "This election is a choice between two very different economic visions for America: Donald Trump, who sees the world from his country club at Mar-a-Lago; and Joe Biden, who sees it from kitchen tables in Scranton like the one he grew up around," the document says in the economy chapter. The economy chapter emphasizes many Democratic priorities that Biden and Harris have touted, including improving infrastructure, supporting unions and pushing for a federal minimum wage of $15 an hour. The document also highlights Biden's proposal for a $10,000 tax credit for first-time homebuyers, though the 2020 platform pushed for a $15,000 credit.

Harris, however, said last week that she would provide a $25,000 subsidy for first-time homebuyers, a more than twofold increase from the party platform document. The platform also touted Democrats expanding the child tax credit to $3,600 for "nearly 40 million families." Harris said last week that she would go further, touting a plan to offer “$6,000 in tax relief to families during the first year of a child’s life.”  The policy platform is divided into nine chapters, emphasizing the party's top issues, including lowering costs, fighting climate change and gun violence, and strengthening democracy. “It makes a strong statement about the historic work that President Biden and Vice President Harris have accomplished hand-in-hand, and offers a vision for a progressive agenda that we can build on as a nation and as a Party as we head into the next four years,” the DNC said in a press release.

Sunday evening, on the night before the DNC Convention begins, the Democratic National Committee has released its Democratic Party platform that comes out at 90 pages, beginning with a land acknowledgement.

The platform contains references to a potential Joe Biden 2nd term, since the document was approved on July 16th, 5 days before President Joe Biden bowed out of his re-election bid.

Since I’m sad that otome games don’t have English dubs when they get realeased in the west, I’ve decided to do English fan casts to alleviate the pain. (I get that they’re a niche genre, but let me have this)

Code Realize, Hakuoki, and Amnesia will have the same voice actors from their English dubs. One of the exception is Toma, since his voice actor is unfortunately dead. I would replace Toma’s voice actor with Mike Haimoto. Another exception is Sanosuke Harada’s voice actor since he’s been blacklisted and arrested due to grooming a 16 year old and marrying her in 2014. He’s already been replaced by Phil Hayes in the Hakuoki movies, so he’ll stay.

I’m not doing Collar X Malice at the moment since it’s getting a movie adaptation this year, and (hopefully) it will inevitably get an English dub. If it doesn’t, then I’ll do it on the future. 

The heroines are all voiced in English as well because I say so lol.

The response to her comments, let's say, was less than wholesome. Traditionalists yearning for the comforting embrace of nostalgia and seeking a faithful recreation of the animated classic, reviled Zegler, sharing on social media claiming how Zegler is dark-skinned and ugly as compared to the image of Snow White they have in their minds. They will probably continue to complain until the movie comes out. or even after that. Some did celebrate her comments, and the chance to challenge conventions in a new adaption of the classic tale for modern audiences.

The clash between tradition and progress extended to the portrayal of love and feminism. Zegler's assertion that the prince in the original was akin to a "stalker" was met with resistance from those who romanticised everything about the original. Once you become emotionally attached to something or even an idea of that something, reason vanishes. Zegler's declaration that the new Snow White wouldn't rely on the prince for salvation challenged the very idea of the story those traditionalists had in their minds. Thus, Zegler became not Snow White but the Evil Queen for them."

Ein Lehrling versucht, seine Arbeit zur Zufriedenheit seines Vorgesetzten zu erledigen, bekommt aber keine Anerkennung dafür. Eine gläubige Mutter möchte ihre Kinder für den Herrn aufziehen. Doch sie sieht, wie ihnen der Einfluss der Welt schaden will. Ein Christ will seinen Nachbarn für den Herrn Jesus gewinnen. Aber dieser verschliesst sich dem Evangelium. In solchen Lagen können wir leicht resignieren. Wir denken: Es hat doch alles keinen Zweck! Da kommt uns Gott zu Hilfe und will uns wieder Mut machen.

Manchmal schenkt uns der Herr, nachdem wir Ihm unser Problem vorgestellt haben, eine Ermunterung aus der Bibel: «An dem Tag, als ich rief, antwortetest du mir; du hast mich ermutigt: In meiner Seele war Kraft» (Psalm 138,3). Hin und wieder erinnert Er uns einfach daran, dass Er bei uns ist und uns beisteht, wie Er es Josua zugesichert hat: «Ich werde dich nicht versäumen und dich nicht verlassen. Sei stark und mutig!» (Josua 1,5.6). Es ist auch möglich, dass wir durch einen Mitgläubigen ermutigt werden, wie es in 1. Samuel 23,16 berichtet wird: «Da machte sich Jonathan, der Sohn Sauls, auf und ging zu David in den Wald und stärkte seine Hand in Gott.»

The toxic cargo carried in Canadian pipelines, whether it be tar sands oil or fracked liquid natural gas (LNG), is, according to all serious climate scientists, a major, perhaps even decisive contribution to global warming, i.e. ecological catastrophe.   Meant to fuel industrial expansion, the pipelines have themselves become fuel for revolt. Designed to move these dirty fossil fuels from one location to another, they are a crucial element in normalizing the dubious paradise of unlimited growth in awe of which all obedient consumer/citizens are supposed to genuflect. In what the colonial mapmakers have called British Columbia (BC), resource extraction has always been the name of the game. However, the emergence in February of this year of a widespread oppositional network ranging from “land back” Indigenous warriors to elder traditionalists and from Extinction Rebellion activists to anarchist insurrectionaries was heartening. Railways, highways and ferries were blockaded, provincial legislatures, government administrative offices, banks and corporate headquarters were occupied. The catalyst for this rebellion was a widespread Indigenous uprising that refused the illusory promises of reconciliation. Together, these rebel forces disrupted business as usual in solidarity with the Unist’ot’en Big Frog clan of the Wet’suwet’en tribal house.

       ​As objective chance would have it, the primary Indigenous land defense camp is situated not far from the same Hazelton, B.C. area to which surrealist Kurt Seligmann and his wife Arlette had journeyed in 1938. During that time, they visited Gitxsan and Wet’suwet’en villages, marveled at the imaginative power of the totem poles and ceremonial objects, made field notes, shot 16mm film, collected stories and recorded mythic histories. Now, in 2020, growing numbers of these same Indigenous peoples have been threatening to bring the Canadian economy to a grinding halt. Unwilling to be bought off by corporate petrodollars or mollified by a legal system that has never done anything but pacify, brutalize, or betray them in the process of stealing their land, Indigenous peoples passionately fought back against the forces of colonial law and order in a radical whirlwind of willful disobedience and social disruption. One action built upon another in creating a rolling momentum that seemed unstoppable. When one railroad blockade would be busted by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), another would spring up in its place elsewhere extending the frontlines of the battle all across the continent. Then the debilitating Covid-19 virus arrived to compound the damage that had previously been done to the capitalist economy by the incendiary virus of revolt. The resistance of these Indigenous communities against the pipelines concerns all of us, worldwide, since they are on the front lines of the struggle to prevent cataclysmic climate change.

       ​In the future, a key question will be whether Canadian authorities can successfully put the genie of Indigenous rebellion back in the colonial bottle of “reconciliation”. As surrealists, we hope they will not, and we stand in solidarity with the unreconciled insurgent spirit of defiant Indigenous resistance. A new reality is to be invented and lived instead of the one that today as yesterday imposes its environmental miserabilism and its colonialist and racist hierarchies.  As surrealists, we honor our historical affinity with the Kwakwaka’wakw Peace Dance headdress that for so long had occupied a place of reverence in André Breton’s study during his lifetime before being ceremoniously returned in 2003 to Alert Bay on Cormorant Island by his daughter, Aube Elléouet, in keeping with her father’s wishes. With this former correspondence in mind, we presently assert that our ongoing desire to manifest the emancipation of the human community as distinctively undertaken in the surrealist domain of intervention is in perfect harmony with the fight of the Indigenous communities of the Americas against globalized Western Civilisation and its ecocidal folly.

 Postscript: During the process of gathering signatures for the above declaration, we were inspired to see its uncompromising stance against white supremacy and police repression reflected in the brightly sparkling flames of the Minneapolis uprising that lit a powder keg of pent-up rage and incited an earth-shaking eruption of spontaneous rebellion in the streets of America. It was only fitting that in solidarity with the uprising about police brutality kicked off by George Floyd’s execution/lynching at the hands of the police, anti-racism protestors in the United States would take direct action by beheading or bringing down statues of Christopher Columbus, genocidal symbol of the colonial expropriation of Native American lands. Der gab vor über 40 Jahren vor, ein freundlicher Nachbar zu sein und den Northuldra mit einem großen Staudamm zu helfen. In Wahrheit wusste er, dass er damit dem magischen Wald schaden würde und brachte zudem hinterrücks den Anführer des friedliebenden Volkes um. Durch den Zorn der Elemente geweckt, trennte ein magischer Nebel den Wald anschließend von der Außenwelt ab; niemand konnte hinein oder herausgehen. Lediglich Elsa war es dank ihrer Magie vergönnt, den Wald zu betreten und ihre Freunde mitzubringen.

Im Wald und letztlich im Meer zum Norden lernten sie im weiteren Verlauf die Geister der vier Elemente kennen und erfuhren zudem, dass es ein fünftes Element gibt – womit nicht der gleichnamige Bruce-Willis-Film gemeint ist. Dieses ruft vermeintlich Elsa seit Beginn von „Die Eiskönigin 2“ immer stärker in die Vergangenheit ihrer Familie und zur Wahrheit.

So entdeckt sie mit Anna zuerst, dass ihre Mutter Iduna ursprünglich aus dem Volk der Northuldra stammte. Sie traf als Kind Agnarr, den Vater von Anna und Elsa, als der mit ihrem Großvater in den magischen Wald ging. Beim fiesen Plan des Großvaters wurde Agnarr in Gefahr gebracht, Iduna konnte ihn jedoch retten und die beiden verliebten sich anschließend ineinander.
