If we're talking about the "finding growth and hope in an intensely lonely postapocalyptic world" theme, you missed possibly the best example.

This beloved children's classic features a genuinely postapocalyptic setting (the main characters are all refugees from severe climate change that has turned the places they came from into an uninhabitable wasteland), the protagonists are a bunch of children who are either orphans or maybe-orphans-as-far-as-they-know who are completely isolated from anything resembling "society" for most of the movie to the point that they have literally one (1) interaction with an adult who isn't trying to kill them in the entire second and third acts until the ending and they spend most of the movie just trying to survive a nearly uninhabitable hellscape without literally starving to death or being murdered, the main antagonist is very much trying to kill them and very much capable of succeeding, and they have to kill him in carefully premeditated self defense.
