Hmmm as in show or as in film? Just answering both 😂😂😂

To me from what I've seen live and what I've watched in bootlegs, the 2023 London West End version with Stewart Clarke and Josh Piterman is just perfection. The tension, the chemistry they had 😭❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏 (yes I rate my fave performances by how strong the Valvert slapped 😂😂😂) and I just adore Stewart Clarke's unique voice and the more vulnerable, softer quality he brings to his version of Javert.

As in movie, the 1978 one, hands down. It has finally some more focus on Toulon (I do have a soft spot for Toulon stories) and of course Perkinsvert and Jordanjean.... I should stop here or I'll go in a rant about their impeccable chemistry. Also Perkinsvert's unbelievable soft simpiness ❤️❤️ just such a puppydog version of Javert. I know the movie made a lot of questionable choices and didn’t really give a damn about canon, but they commited to Valvert and didn’t give a damn about anything else and I respect that 👏

Also, my personal headcanon said, that no one dies from front flipping into 2 inches deep water. Perkinsvert just sprained his ankle and bruised his ego and then limped home to Valjean ❤️❤️

Subplot/sequence? Subplot, I don’t know, really can’t decide. I'd really love to see some of the book craziness on TV one day, like the Gorbeau House, more of the Paris manhunt or Javert setting himself on fire (that was so funny omg 😂😂😂). Loved some versions of the Punish me Monsieur le Maire scenes already 😂😂❤️
