Hit the Ground Speed-Walking

What are my goals? You mean my resolutions for the new year? Nope. I mean your goals. Resolutions are items on your list that you will try and change, but a goal is a marker. A goal is a set point in the distance. A goal is an achievement. A goal is motivation to move you forward. 

And what are you in life without motivation?  I was an actor once, and I was told by a very not nice acting teacher that I sucked at acting and maybe I should try something different. You see, I didn’t understand the process that every scene and moment in a play or movie required. It required a character motivation.

We are not just talking heads. We are not just planted in the ground. We are always moving. From electrons around the nucleus, from our blood pumping in our veins to the planets revolving around the sun to our galaxy revolving around the greater universe. We are inherently always active and never passive. The acting teacher taught us a very simple method to acquiring motivation:

“I WANT” + AN ACTION VERB IN A SENTENCE INCLUDING YOUR PARTNER That’s the difference between a resolution, which is a passive promise to yourself that you will try and do something different, but if you fail, there’s no real consequence there. A resolution, like many political and governmental ones, can be overridden and discarded. But a goal is tangible. A goal is realization. A goal has worth.

Here are my TOP TEN in no particular order for the 2017 Year. And I am announcing this for a reason. Because when you tell people what your goals are, you have a responsibility to uphold them.

I will discuss my progress as the days and weeks go by. My hope is that this motivates you to share your goals with me and we can hold each other accountable to accomplish our goals and make 2017 a great worthwhile year for all.

Compose and record an album

Write a screenplay

Write a book and publish it

Exercise three times a week (at least)

Cook for myself at least three times a week

Run a Tough Mudder

Delegate more work responsibility and trust my co-workers. Train a new employee and give them the tools to succeed.

Read 20 books

Raise the business annual revenue by $750,000

Contribute to my blog at least twice per week

3-ish days spent on drawing 2 goofy angsty kids and a depressed doomed-by-narrative adult. Istg I spent too much time drawing little details only for the animation to go too fast for anyone to notice so I'm slamming some of my fav frames under the cut bc I can.

So a few weeks ago, I asked y'all to give me a bunch of random Fnaf Characters to draw bc I was bored, so I may or may not have procrastinated and took forever to draw most of the requests but anyways here they are

As you can tell I was so confused whether to go for the more "furry robots" or "full on robots" style.
