FMP | City

The city I am making has big walls and behind those walls, there is a city, to create that city I used the same method that I used for the walls. I made some low poly planes and gave them some basic shape differences. After that, I used the Jsplacement tool and I gave them some details with the heightmaps I generated. I gave them slightly different textures and on top of them I put sand decals.

I turned the planes into nanite for a better performance.

FMP | Hologram

I created a hologram for the headquarters. First I found some reference images and I generated my concepts from midjourney.

This hologram is for displaying the incoming danger or enemy attack.

I created the low poly shape for the hologram that I will use and made a hologram material in Unreal Engine. I used the Jsplacement tool which I mentioned in my previous blogs. I made the texture transparent and added a panner to enhance the hologram look.

Here is the material I made for the hologram.

I followed a tutorial from Michael Tiedtke to learn how to make a hologram. And his tutorial was pretty straight forward and following was easy. I am quite happy about the end result.

Fractal City Megalopolis | "Premonition" with Chapman Stick Railboard from Stephen Sink on Vimeo.

"Premonition" is an original instrumental using 10-string Chapman Stick Railboard and then several industrial and dubstep samples and sound effects, around a rocking drumline.

The Fractal City of Megalopolis is made from 8K JSplacement displacement maps and then some city textures made in Photoshop, with some help of a color map for cities from Julius Horsthuis.

THE 365 DAYS PROJECT | DAY 113: HEXAGONS

I’m not sure what exactly I was doing wrong, but I managed to crash Cinema 4D so many times during the creation of this render. Definitely the most crashes I’ve ever had and it’s interesting because this scene is simple compared to others that have caused Cinema 4D to crash in the past lol.
