Meanwhile my bday gift finally made it here! Venus!!

I gotta say, even tho this is smth I wanted for awhile, the price was uncomfortably high >> I'll probably stay away from more purchases in nearest future...

First thing I did was sealing hair ends. After that she's so fun to handle! I think I like this kind of hair more than usual, bc I can just put all that mass into some shape and it always looks good.

I also like her outfit much better irl than on photos. I was fully prepared to take off pieces I didn't like and never use them again, but having it all in my hands changed my mind. Still don't like crop top she came with but the rest can stay.

And ofc I decided she needs a vest. Dark green one! With some fabric scraps patches! Plus stamped Recycle sign! It's a bit more rough than how I usually sew bc I wanted more handmade look for it

A Menace that plagued my mind for past month — The Beheaded!!!

He ended up slightly taller than I intended bc I kept playing around with proportions but I'm not gonna go back on that and change it now.

He has alt heads bc ofc he would — blank, star and round eye, plus two sizes of flame. Initially I tried to make eyes fully interchangeable separates but failed to make it reliable bc of small scale. So I opted out to stick them on with scotch, and make alt designs with eye added directly on the head (another alternative — googly eye >.>)

My color choices are in reference to that cool figure, Poisoned one (and obv bc I have only so many filament colors). Not 100% sure with some of them buuut whatever, its done!

About outfit: some of my choices were made specifically with real pants in mind, that's why I didn't bother searching for more realistic leg alternatives. Also obviously the fact that I used fabric means that there's less range of motion where it gets in the way, mainly knees. But I consider this a fair trade bc it looks cool AF! Also tying all those wraps was NOT EASY!! (they became abit loose after handling so I had to redo them several times x_x)

Mods I made: -flame was edited to be solid, added neck cutout, added eye variants -changed shape of arm a little, original was even more buff (if someone would want him to be absolutely ripped, that would be the choice, haha) -changed proportions of chest armor to balance out arm bulk -made abdomen frame longer for better joint mobility (honestly, my solution isn't perfect, there are couple of places that would benefit from sanding but at least its done and working) -made legs longer to balance out longer torso and arms -edited feet to match new proportions -made pauldron from scratch -made Balanced Blade from scratch -edited Dagger -edited Frantic Sword

I will put this mod up later too!

…That said I have my concerns about the fact that I used fabric for pants. Unlike with Drifter, this one required alot more sewing in a very small scale. Should I like.. include pants pattern with this mod... Would that be Weird for printing site… And Im not really interested in writing sewing instructions as for me personally most of it can be summarized in "keep your stitches small, its all very fiddly". But I do have experience in miniature sewing and some random person online probably wouldn't?????

This is a project I spend most of January on - The Drifter!!!

Same as with Elster I decided to use Dummy13 as base and edit some models to create a figure of my fav doomed guy!

I just didn't expect it would take me so much time >.> honestly, at some point I started to feel like this project was cursed (Drifter, bud, is your sickness spreading into real world now?) with amount of trouble w models and failed prints I had... But now he's done!!

I gotta say, some ~Stylistic Choices~ were made to match dummy design with Drifter's canon look, and account for what materials were available to me (that's why color pallete is limited and slightly darker than I wanted)

Anyway, sources: Dummy13 v1.0 | Dummy accessories (used weapons handles) | Smooth skin (used head and calf) | Blank chest | Trigger finger hand | Helmet | Drifter figure (used arm guard and gun) | Brawlout model (used gems, sword and boot booster) | Belt buckle | Droid companion

Mods I made: - resized/edited some original dummy parts (had problems w fitting here and there), used shorter neck & shorter abdomen armor again - edited helmet for tiny print - added connection for visor, added bigger gems - added cutouts for eyes - added connection for head+helmet - edited gem for tiny print - edited arm guard for dummy elbow connection - edited gun and sword for dummy hands - edited shin and feet to resemble boots - edited booster for snap-together connection - edited droid for tiny print, changed proportions - resized belt buckle

As for outfit: skirt is simple trapeze with ribbon belt and stencil painted pattern; cape is three layers of washed cotton fabric with unraveled edges

G3 Venus really caught my eye buuut looking at local prices for MH... Im sad to say that if her price is gonna be this bad (or worse) then I wont be able to justify spending so much...

So I decided to do what I always do and make my own <.<

I wanted to mix elements from both original and new design so I made them both in a dressup app

I like left one's color pallete sliighly better so thats what I aimed for

I reused my last doll pattern (y/n doll) with some modifications (different fabric = different stretch) bc I wanted to get same cartoonish proportions. It took several tries bc I kept messing up limbs-torso ratio >.>

Her clothes and jewelry are supposed to look upcycled (bc they are!)

Found amazing pumpkin lantern to use as head for Scarecrow!

I got really lucky with it, there's a seam I was able to pull apart, take out the light and put whole thing on without any mods (I did add some stuffing so head wouldn't be too wobbly)

Now these two have matchy heads!
