What is the Look Back Challenge?

The Look Back Challenge is a photography challenge for all kinds of toy collectors in which they are prompted to post only about toys and collectibles they already own, and refrain from posting about any new purchases for the entire month. This is to combat the FOMO and impulse buying tendencies that often take over collecting spaces. Collectors are often pressured to only post about the newest, hot item they've acquired. This is a challenge aimed to push back against consumerist acquisition culture. It also exists to give collectors a chance to show off items they adore, but maybe don't post about very much as they feel they need a "reason" too. We shouldn't need a reason! Let's show off the things we love!

Rules

You can only post items you had prior to the start of the challenge.

Abstaining from buying things entirely during this month is optional, but encouraged.

If you do buy something, please refrain from posting about it until the month is over.

Custom toys and home made items are allowed.

Newly made customs are allowed, if they were made from things you already had prior to the challenge starting.

You do not have to follow the prompt list to take part in the challenge, but it's there if you'd like some ideas.

If you are following the prompt list, you may interpret a prompt however you see fit. There is no right answer.

This is not a contest, and I am not judging submissions.

I may add to this rules list as questions and issues come up.

In celebration of DC’s 2022 film “The Batman,” Sideshow and Hot Toys created this stunning Batman and Bat-Signal Sixth Scale Collectible Set. Fortunately, I was able to recently acquire one for Christmas after they had long since sold out!

Meticulously crafted based on the appearance of Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne in the movie, the screen-accurate Batman figure features a newly developed head sculpt with two styles of hair, separate rolling eyeballs, and interchangeable lower faces for the cowl. A specialized body also highlights Batman’s muscular form, and a beautifully tailored Batsuit with poseable cape creates a strikingly realistic look. All of this is rounded out by a range of gadgets and accessories including a sticky bomb gun, diecast batarangs (w/ a removable one from the chest), grappling hooks, Riddler envelope, handcuffs, a wingsuit for gliding scenes, and a specially designed LED light-up staircase/building décor figure stand and backdrop.

If that wasn’t enough, this set also comes with the iconic sign that alerts evildoers that a protector lurks in the shadows of Gotham City: the Bat-Signal! This masterful recreation displays a screen-accurate design with the traditional Bat symbol at the center, and is specially applied with distress effects. It also features a powerful LED light, allowing Batman’s calling card to be projected on the walls!

Now our last figure/collectable that I received for Christmas is our final "Christmas Prime" the Transformers Legacy United Voyager Class Animated Universe Optimus Prime I was super excited to get him and was one of the ones I was looking for. I have the original one from the show and I wanted this one too. So I was totally happy when I unwrapped him
