My hair is at that awkward length where I need to decide whether to chop it or let it grow long. It’s currently at overgrown Lob. Longer hair seems easier sometimes and now that it's summer, being able to put it up seems important. I’ll try to post a selfie later so you can see what I mean... Here’s a few products from my morning #skincareroutine, Monday 5/27 ________ Jullai Hydrating Moisture Gel, this is a unscented gel cream that felt a tad too heavy for the summer but was perfect for me last winter. Didn’t clog my pores and worked well with my other products. It contains a cold brewed Super 7 Complex which is a mild, grain-based mix of 7 ingredients— Oatmeal Extract, Chia Seed Extract, Quinoa Extract, Flowering Quince Extract, Baobab Seed Extract, Pumpkin Seed Extract, and Linseed Extract. It’s empty now, but I may pick this up from @glowrecipe once I get through some other things in my stash. I loved their cleansing oil, too . Paula’s Choice C25 Super Booster, this is a stronger Vit C and is a cream. I prefer watery serums, but mixing this with a gel cream to thin it out works well, too. I use it all over my face and neck, or sometimes as a spot treatment . Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask, a gift from @beautyandthecat and @indoorcat 😽😺. I’m halfway through with this and have never been so determined to finish a product ever. Every time I see someone post an empty of one of these I’m almost jealous lol. FWIW, it’s a good lip mask, but I like to use it as a general lip balm. It stays on all night with no waxy feel 👍🏼 _______ #paulaschoice#jullai#kbeauty#laneige#koreanskincare#beautygram#skincareobsessed#skincarelover#oilyskincare https://www.instagram.com/p/Bx-iMJVgbcg/?igshid=1veo2923tn412

Future Skin Care Purchases  - work in progress
Tumblr media
Updated as of 02/28/2019.
These are products I have not yet purchased, but I am highly interested in, and may or may not purchase, depending upon funds.
Oil Cleansers; Jullai Super 112 Bounce Cleansing Oil
Cleansers; Secret Nature Volcanic Ash Cleansing Water, Blithe's Anti-Polluaging Himalayan Pink Salt Cleansing Water, BENTON Tea Tree Cleansing Water, By Wishtrend Green Tea & Enzyme Powder Wash, Glow Recipe Blueberry Bounce Gentle-cleanser
Toners; Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner, ACWELL Licorice pH Balancing Cleansing Toner, I'm from Rice Toner, BONAJOUR Green Tea Water Bomb Toner, BONAJOUR Eggplant Daily BHA Toner
Mists; Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist, KLAIRS Supple Preparation Facial Toner
Masks; MANEFIT Natural Gift Green Tea Pore Care Sheet Mask, I'm From Series (Mugwort, Honey, Vitamin), Skinfood series (Egg White Pore, Freshmade Watermelon), Isntree Real Rose Calming Mask
Essences; NEOGEN Real Ferment Micro Essence, ATRUE Real Black Tea True Active Essence,
Ampoules; Yuripibu's Amaid Ampoule
Eye Creams; MISSHA MISA Geum Sul Giyoun Eye Cream, ERBORIAN Seve de Bamboo Eye Matte
Eye Masks; Secret Key Gold Racoony Hydrogel Series Eye & Spot Patch Set (Gold, Marine, Rose)
Moisturizers; Graymelin Black Food Nutry Cream, BONAJOUR EGF Time Recovery Solution Cream, Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturizer
Sleep Masks; BONAJOUR Bio Active Resurrection Plant Night Cream, Glow Recipe Avacod Melt Sleep set
Lip Masks; KLAVUU Nourishing Care Lip Sleeping Pack
Body wash; KLAIRS Manuka Honey & Choco Body Soap, BENTON Dear My Best Friend Bar Soap, Isntree Tea Tree Therapy Body Wash
Lip Blams; HOLIKA HOLIKA Good Cera Super Ceramide Lip Oil Stick, innisfree Green Tea Lip Balm, innisfree Canola Honey Lip Balm
Currently researching DECIEM products because I really want to add them to my routine. But this is what I got thus far. The site is just SO confusing, with all the fancy names and ingredients.
NIOD is also a money pit, so once you dive into one product, I am sure you get the urge to get the whole lot. It is very much an investment, and will take me a long time to save for a bulk order (since they sell sets), or one at a time, while crying that I want the rest.
Hylamide;
SubQ Eyes; I have some serious dark eye circles, so I am always willing to try something to minimize this, and this looks interesting. I am slightly more interested in the NIOD version, but because of the pricing, would try this one first, unless I am feeling funds ballsy and jump into the other one first.
NIOD;
Copper Amino Isolate Serum; From reviews, this is supposed to be one of the best selling products from this line and concentrates on your overall skin's health. I confused it for the harmful copper, but this is supposed to be different, so after some research, I am more excited to try it.
Multi Molecular Hyaluronic Complex; I am assuming this contains the same ingredients as the Marine Hyaluronic and Hyaluronic Complex with B5 from my Google research, just into one bottle. May be worth purchasing this to bulk them together, instead of individual bottles. Seems to offer more benefit, even with the price tag, seems more cost effective in the long run. Since I seem to do fine with the MH, I will be replacing it with this, when I am done with the bottle. I can’t wait!
Modulating Glucosides; I have issues with sensitivity, irritation and itchiness, so this product seems interesting to help with those issues.
Flavanone Mud & Myrrh Clay & Mastic Must & Voicemail Masque; Fancy masks are fancy.
Lip Bio-Lipid Concentrate; Looks like some serious lip oil treatment, and I do have some majorly chapped lips, despite my heavy water drinking. It may be because I am on diuretics.
Low-Viscosity Cleaning Ester and Sanskrit Saponins; Having released there own version of the double cleanse, I may give this a try - only if I have extra funds, and I am not enjoying my current routine.
Ethylated L-Ascorbic Acid 30% Network; I am still confused about Vitamin C, and wonder if this is quite different, can use at same time, better, or worse then what I am using now, which is the COSRX Typle C Lightning Liquid.
Fractionated Eye Contour Concentrate; May be an upgrade from the SubQ Eyes, and honestly, for the price, it better raise Jebus. If the other doesn't work, I may be desperate enough to attempt this one for my dark circles.
Non-Acid Acid Precursor 15%; Supposed to be an alternative to peeling without using acid. I am still up in the air about trying this one out, because I am afraid of trying the more serious peels.
Superoxide Dismutase Saccharide Mist; Looks like a good, antibacterial, inflammation, hydrating mist. I was thinking of removing mists from my routine, since I can’t mist throughout the day because of sunscreen, but this actually looks like it would be more beneficial in conjunction with all the other products, even if used once during your regular routine.
Re: Pigment; This has mixed reviews and is quite pricey, but I heard good things about this particular line and would be willing to give it a shot, as I suffer from a lot of hyperpigmentation.
Chemistry Brand;
Hand Chemistry, Extreme Hydration Concentrate, Heel Chemistry, Hyaluronic Concentrate, HA3 Hand Hydrator, Retin-Oil;
The hydrating hand and body oils seem to be the only interest for me in this line. I suffer from severe dry hands during the winter that can lead to Dyshidrosis, if I don't treat it properly. I often break out two times a year in the winter with this. Otherwise, I never had any issues with body/hand dryness. So I may opt for these products during the winter. I do suffer from hyperpigmentation from acne scarring on my back, and other parts of the body from scarring (I did a lot of rescue work for cats). I feel the Retin-Oil may help with this - but honestly, I am a big tattoo buff, so everything for me will eventually be covered by tats, so I never really invested in body care in terms of visual appeal. I just use regular ole black african soap lotion, and or Gold Bond for Excema, worked just fine to help with any pain for dryness.
As for their “reduce hair” line - I would never be interested in that (face, leg, arm pits). I was born with lucky genes I guess - which is quite odd, because all of my female Filipino relatives had insane body hair. But me... never had that much hair growth in the first place. Then I was placed on Spironolactone, and that almost obliterated the little growth I did have. I am talking about, I can go six months without shaving my legs, and it looks like I haven’t shaved in two days - very minor hair growth!
Fountain; I honestly don't take supplements, I only recently decided to do a multi-vitamin and take zinc for my acne. I also do Kachava shakes, and that has a lot of good protein.
AB Crew; This honestly just overall confused me and I don't think I would use any of these products. Though the AB Carving Gel and Shredding Oil look interesting if you wanna strut your stuff along the water. I do have issues with cellulite and stretch marks, but I feel their aren't any topical products that could ever correct this issue, you would have to get it surgically done. Many products claim to rid these, but it is just not possible without a professional. I am sure with long term use, you can diminish it - as I tried to do once with coconut oil when it was all the rage - but I never saw much difference, even after a few years - I used pure virgin coconut oil as well.

How to connect with the local people of Ladakh
Connecting with Locals isn't an easy task
The best way to explore a place is not by just visiting the tourist places but by living with the local people. People make a place what it is and by interacting with the people you can connect to the place more than ever. However, connecting with new people is not always an easy task.
But a smooth way to go about it is by knowing their culture. You can start an easy conversation with them. Hence before going on your Ladakh trip,  knowing about it and its culture becomes very important. This also helps you in understanding a lot of dynamics that are required when you are travelling in a new place so that you don’t get overwhelmed by the new place.
 The History
Ladakh means “Land of high passes.” This region was previously known as Maryul, historians and many people refer to Ladakh as mini-Tibet. The Ladakh as we know it today was earlier divided into two provinces and third comprised of western Tibet. In February 2019, Ladakh became separate revenue and administration within Jammu and Kashmir.  Leh and Kargil are two capitals of Ladakh. This practice of two capitals was started by Dogra King to escape the harsh winter of Srinagar. Buddhism is the major religion in Ladakh and you will find a gompa in almost every village. The languages spoken in Ladakh are Ladakhi, Tibetan, Urdu, and Balti. The culture of Ladakh is heavily influenced by Tibet. Ladakhi and Tibetan are used most commonly by residents of Ladakh. So, if you're into travel and are someone who likes to explore various cultures, believe us booking your Ladakh package is worth every penny!
 And here's the Cool Stuff
Enough of history and stuff, now we will tell you about some cool stuff which will make your stay in Ladakh more fun! Ahead are a few basic words you should learn before booking your Ladakh tour package. It'll help you ease your way into the hearts of locals.
 The first and most important word you should know in Ladakh is Jullay. Jullay is ‘aloha’ of Ladakh. It means hello, goodbye, and thank you. If you are meeting a monk then you have to say the phrase “Chatsel Jullay”, note this phrase should only be said to a monk and no one else, it is a very respectful hello. If you want to greet someone good morning in Ladakh you should use the phrase- Nato Deleks. To ask "how are you", you can use the phrase ‘Khamzang inalay’. To ask for essential water you have to use the phrase ‘chu’ which means water.
The people of Ladakh are close to nature and down to earth. They have a strong sense of community and always help each other. They are jovial by nature and they love to celebrate every occasion, especially their rich culture and heritage. So if you're going on a Ladakh group tour, it's easy to gel up with people and if you are great at polo it's a huge plus and you are going to leave with a lot of new friends, because the people of Ladakh love Polo!!
 The Conclusion
In the end, we would like to say that the best way to connect with anyone is by being humble. Language and culture are only a small picture in the larger canvas of life. This is the true essence of traveling to connect with people and expand your perspective of life by learning new things from them. Some of the tips in this blog will surely help you to initiate a conversation, but the key to connecting with new people, the true magic, is your nature and kindness. So, be confident and just go on the Ladakh trip you've been planning for so long and trust us you're going to do great with the localities of Ladakh.

Review @aromatica.official LIVELY Super Calming Blue Oil . . This blue natural colored oil is claimed to soothe the itchiness of dry skin, calm redness & irritation, and help to even out the skintone. . . Been using this for approximately a month, I can say that this oil pretty good to help me out of my dehydrated skin deals. I sometimes get itchiness, redness and even some kinds of acne for the dehydration. Yes, I come to this oil to overcome the issue. 🐈 . . This oil helps me to counteracting my dry skin problem too. It moiturizes my skin nicely when I use this as a layering serum, as a slot before/after moisturizer, and even use this alone as a moisturizer after my hydrating toner. . . The texture is kinda more lightweight compared to my holygrail first face oil JULLAI Super 12 Bounce THICK OIL, it's not hard to be abosorbed. Although thus, I do prefer use this in my PM Routine than the AM because it feels still a little greasy 😅. . This clear blue oil's scent has the vegee's alike but not strongly so I don't mind that. 😊 . . Reading oil is sensitive to the sunlight and heat exposure so I always put this back in to the box right after using it to make sure the oil not oxidized easily. I ussualy act like this when I saw the product's warning. 😉 . . One thing that I still don't see by using this oil is the evening skintone claim. I have no idea, it doesn't work as they claimed to 💃. Well, it's okay, I think people with dry and dehydrated skin will still like this oil. 🤔 . . #bujokoreviewfaceoil #Aromatica #LIVELY #BlueOil #FaceOil #CalmingOil (di Rantau Tampang Kel.) https://www.instagram.com/p/B4trW1-n0Tc/?igshid=1kz4gtcs28nsz

Jullay Guys !! That's hello in Ladakhi. I've noticed that the most common messages in my inbox are from people who really want to travel but have no one to go with. Their friends either aren’t interested or can’t afford it & the thought of travelling solo is really scary. But it doesn’t need to be! Let me tell you why. 1) Traveling solo is actually a great confidence booster. People who travel solo have to learn to do everything themselves.Yup that includes everything from opening a door to navigating around an unknown city at 3:00 in the morning. But guess what...you learn how to watch after yourself, stand up for yourself and do things without relying on someone else. People who travel solo have more confidence in themselves & a more positive can do attitude, and what’s not to love about that? . 2) Solo travel is a chance to experience true freedom. You aren’t responsible to anyone. Your schedule is what you want it to be.You can decide what you do, when you do it and where you want to be. You can wake as early or late as you please and the rest of the day is just as free as the beginning. It’s one of the only times in life you’re not beholden to anyone. It’s complete freedom and one of the most exhilarating experiences in life! . 3) It teaches you about yourself. You learn what you can handle easily and what hurdles are more of a challenge. This kind of self-discovery is harder to explore when you are in your comfort zone, and traveling provides plenty of opportunities every day to try new things and figure out more about who you are. . 4) It's a great time to move on. Whether you’re facing the end of a relationship, disappointment in your career field, or rejection of some kind, a trip alone is a great time to heal, process and reevaluate your life. The time and space that travelling solo offers you while going from one place or from town to town allows your mind to wander. You can’t help but begin to think about your life, what you’ve done, what you want to achieve and what you’re grateful for, giving you a whole new perspective on life. . So promise me you will finally plan that solo trip you have always wanted ! . #unciatrails — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/2BWhkzn

We’re on our way to Ladakh tomorrow for two weeks of mediation, shiatsu and yoga. Ohmmm 🧘‍♀️
The internet connection willbe very slow to non-existent so I may not be able to post for a while. Also , it’s cold! We are all hoping our bodies can cope with the extreme change in weather from the 100+ degrees in Delhi to 50 degrees in Ladakh. Anyway, as the Ladakhis say... jullay!
