#juno's vigilante au

okay, so, i was thinking about my vigilante au again, but for s2 of empires instead. bc i’ve accepted that i won’t ever write a longfic for the original au, and i probably won’t for this either

so! delving into my thoughts:

it would occur in a similar setting, with the characters attending a sixth-form college (which i’ve got a name for!) while also being vigilantes on the side (because the name “vigilante au” didn’t give that away at all)

- we’ve got jimmy, who would probably be the main focus of this au if i did ever write something (sorry scott, jimmy brainrot is big rn), and he’d be a moobloom hybrid, i feel, just to change it up slightly from my other s2 projects. i’m not sure what type of moobloom he’d be yet, but he’d probably be some kind of flower that can survive well in a hot climate

- anyway! i feel like he’d be doing some kind of environmental science based stuff, or stuff to work towards that (not at all projecting. nope) which means he’d probably be doing geography, chemistry and biology.

- with the kind of power he has, i’m torn between some kind of plant based power (which he could have a small hint of anyway? being a moobloom and all?) or some kind of earth based power (like terrakinesis, because he could do a bunch of cool stuff with that, i reckon)

- his vigilante name would just be the Sheriff. the local police hate him, because he runs around in his dumb outfit with his stupid bandit “friend” (you know i had to do it) and they’re doing their jobs for them smh

- he definitely has a rivalry with Electrostatic (idk, messing around with names for joel’s vigilante persona??), who is someone that has lightning based powers, and seems to find some kind of amusement in tormenting him.

- he has a complicated relationship with the Protector (sausage) because the Protector is technically his ally, but he is also technically Electrostatic’s ally as well.

- on the other hand, sausage and joel are friends, who both help out with tutoring a few kids, one of whom them share: Hermes! yeah, he’s in this au. they try and outdo each other with the prizes they give their students, because Hermes always boasts to the other students about what the other one gave him when he was good, so they’ve obviously gotta do better than the other tutor

- scott seems like he’d be going for some kind of plant based power (which is why i didnt want jimmy to grab that) and he would definitely use it to get a bunch of rare dyes. i feel like he’d take textiles and art, at the very least, maybe maths to go with it idk (he gives off art teacher vibes this season ngl)

- i feel like katherine would have some kind of luck based power, in which she can manipulate the probability of events happening, and this would be really really good if she could fully understand how it works and stop losing her focus with it and causing her pen to explode in the middle of class.

- i feel like gem would be some kind of governor’s daughter, and they’re really protective over her, telling her constantly how she needs to be careful because she could get hurt. so as a massive fuck you to her parents she goes out as the Dawn Princess in the late hours of the evening and beats up criminals. for funsies

- (also the bandit friend is 100% tango, you knew i had to add him) other characters will be from the life series/hermitcraft too! i gotta add my other blorbos in :]

Hi Chami! You love Desmond Miles (and Elijah!), so I had a question: if you had do a crossover with Batman, how do you think it would go?

I have thought so much about this idea, as some of you might know I am a crossover lover so obviously once I got into DC I immediately started thinking about crossovers.

I honestly have a few but my favorite is mostly centered around Elijah.

What if after he escapes the Templars and Assassins during his fight with Juno for the Koh-i-noor he decides “Fuck it, fuck the Isu and their grand plans, I’m going to mess with the timeline” so he goes and hunts down the Isu artifacts needed for him to go back in time, problem is, when he finally activates the mess of wires and technology he has created, instead of being sent back in time he is sent to a completely different universe (wakes up in Gotham specifically).

He is understandably angry because what in the fuck? He was supposed to go a few years back, just enough to change things (save his mother) so why is he now in some world where the Isu influence seems to be non-existent and there are honest to god super powered people parading around as superheroes, like right out of a comic book?

Well dang it, he will find a way back to his own world, whatever it takes, and regardless of how many vigilantes get on his way.

Because obviously Batman and company notice the spike in energy resulting from a tear between universes when Elijah arrives, they arrive in scene but by then Eli is long gone, and then a sudden peak on theft starts in the city, thing is, there are no clues as to who is behind it, but whoever it is they’re up to no good, because everything they’re taking is highly advance technology the likes of which could be used to create something to destroy cities (or jump through universes).

That would be more or less the beginning, with the batfam desperately trying to catch Elijah, while the later is using every little assassin related knowledge he knows to get by (he might be going through the bleeding effect as well, you know, just because).

I like this crossover better than if it was Desmond on the Dc universe because Desmond is very much a reluctant hero, he would set one foot in Gotham and immediately go “fuck it, I an fixing this place” he is just like that, is in his genes, but Elijah is different, for me Eli is neither good nor bad, not even a middle point, if he was “good” he would have gone to the assassins after the whole Juno thing, but we know he didnt, he just took a powerful and dangerous artifacts and fucked off into the desert, for me he is selfish but not evil, he has gone through a lot and came out deciding to look after himself first, and that would give way to such interesting interactions with the batfam.

He is not blue, nor red, nor grey, he is a completely different category on his own, one second he would join Luthor to get access to his tech, the next he would be shaking hands with Ra’s to look into the Lazarus pits, and then he would be sending info to the League about something happening somewhere else in the world, but then he would be jumping into Arkham because there seem to be some caves underneath that might be old enough to contain an Isu temple, then he is helping the bats with a smuggling ring, just for him to steal right under their noses an artifact that might or might not be isu related. He would be invited to join the Young Justice just for him to go “why in the fuck would I join your child soldiers team?” Just for him to show up during life or death situations to help because dang it, he might be more isu than most humans, but he also has a ridiculous amount of dna from people who regularly put their lives on the line to help other and once in a while that part of his genetics seems to win over his need to find a way to get back home.

Idk how I would like this au to end, but I have been toying with the idea of Desmond showing up one day, but the thing is that this is not Eli’s dad, this is just a Desmond that fucked around with the Isu artifacts and got send to this universe. Which would be awkward all around because that’s not his dad, but it is some Eli’s dad and dang it he never knew the man but some deep part of him had always wanted to meet him.

these are my mans: 

Howard Flugelmeyer: Evil White Man Of The Year 1997-2013, Howard is a ludicrously rich inventor with a ludicrously evil get-rich-quick scheme: child labor. An influential figure in the bustling metropolis of Nova City, he secretly uses his superpower, hypnosis, to control the minds of his children and the masses alike.

Ardalan Aragona: Ardalan (Alan to his few friends) is Flugelmeyer’s young assistant. Diligent in his work and apathetic in the face of danger, Alan has been around longer than any current employee can remember, though mainly for a single reason- he is completely immune to Howard’s hypnosis. 

David Andrews: A simple man a first glance, David secretly moonlights as the city’s youngest elite hero, Edu. Boasting strong audiokinesis Edu is the tank of Nova City’s dynamic duo, and is currently working with his partner to stop Flugelmeyer’s world domination plans. 

Jonathan Slick: Depressive stoner type by day Jonathan (but please, call him Jay) is the second half of the city’s heroic duo- Juno. As the title “Temporal Hero” implies, he has the incredibly powerfully and cosmically horrifying superpower of chronokinesis (and some glowing wings for fun). Originally a vigilante, his calling came after being assigned Edu as a mentor. 

Dr. Steven Gard: An acclaimed biologist, Steven was employed by Ambrosia Labs, a secret offshoot of Flugelmeyer Industries to fuel Howard’s search for eternal youth, using phoenix DNA. After forced experimentation mutated him into a giant chicken man, Steven was kept in an abandoned warehouse before being rescued by Edu and Juno. 

Grip: An intrepid reporter, Grip has been investigating superpowered crime for years now. However, one bad break-in resulted in his new normal: A 10x10ft cube of an isolation cell several floors under Flugelmeyer Industries. With no chance of escape, even with his time-stopping superpower, he has no choice but to sit and wait until he either dies, or is saved. 

Joey Lartigue: Flugelmeyer’s telepathic Head of Security, Joey’s current assigned is standing in front of Grip’s cell to monitor his thoughts. Secretive in the most lax way possible, Joey is Jay’s cousin, is completely aware of his double-life.

Cloak and Dagger/Marvel’s Runaways (Vigilantes) Daemon AU: Charecter/Daemon list

Tandy’s daemon is an albino lion named Phobos. Throughout Tandy’s childhood, Phobos’s favorite form was that of a dove. Most people assumed he would settle as such, due to him seeming to favor the form, even at Tandy’s young age. That was until the rig explosion…As they were walking home alone, Phobos changed into a lion for the first time, keeping himself glued to Tandy’s side the whole way home. After that? He never changed forms again.

Tyrone’s daemon is a black she-wolf named Daphne. She had taken the form occasionally before the rig explosion, but once she woke up next to Tyrone on the beach, she never changed again.

Mina’s daemon is a barn owl named Lumin. While he also took the form of mouse every now and then, Lumin showed a strong favor towards different types of bird throughout Mina’s childhood. So it was no surprise when he eventually settled as one.

Bridget’s daemon is a fox named Fiirlime, or Fiir for short. Before the splits Fiir was an all red fox, with a touch of black on his ears and legs. Once Bridgette and Mayhem split, Bridgette’s Fiirlime lost all of his black markings, while Mayhem’s Fiirlime was a completely black fox. Once the two merged back together again, Fiirlime changed. He was now a black-and-red cross fox.

Karolina’s daemon is a peregrine falcon named Soleil, or Sol for short. Sol has never taken a form that wasn’t a bird of some kind, but no one questioned it.

Nico’s daemon is maned wolf named Fenrir. Fenrir took many other forms throughout Nico’s childhood, including a raven, a ocelot, and many more. Once Amy died, Fenrir settled almost immediately.

Gert’s daemon is komodo dragon named Old Lace. Whenever Gert’s anxiety became a prominent issue is when Old Lacs settled.

Molly’s daemon, named Juno, only recently settled as a beech marten. There wasn’t anything specific that caused him to settle.

Chase’s daemon is a golden retriever named Celeste. Celeste took the form of a golden retriever the first time Chase’s dad hit him, though it was a little bit longer before she settled as it.

Alex’s daemon is a stag beetle named Eris. Eris tended to take the form of an insect long before she settled on a stag beetle. She settled almost immediately after Amy’s death.

Amy’s daemon was a arctic fox named Vigil.

some of the vigilante au variety:

He’s really good friends with Joel (one of his longest lasting friends, especially after a bunch of them left the school for other sixth form colleges) despite him being a year older. He treats him like an older brother, and Joel treats him like a younger brother in return.

However, Jimmy didn't particularly like Joel at first, because they met through Lizzie starting to date him, and suddenly there’s this older boy in his home that’s a little odd and is taking up all of his sister’s time meaning she doesn't hang out with him as much anymore.

Scott's hands are always cold, and Jimmy hates it when their hands brush because he can't seem to get rid of the cold feeling that lingers for seemingly hours afterwards. Later in their relationship he makes it his personal quest to keep them warm

and a few of the double life variety:

He’s an incredibly tactile person, both him and Tango are, and they like sitting close to each other or holding hands and cuddling. It’s not entirely romantic, but it’s also not completely platonic. They don't really care enough to question the nature of their relationship, content with it as it is.

Tango helps him take care of his wings, because they often end up coated in dust despite being so small. You would have thought small wings meant there would be less dust all over them, but, nope, constantly covered. Tango has to remind him to shake them out outside otherwise they’ll get dust everywhere.

Leading on from that, Tango was banned from helping him preen his feathers for a few days after he said they were kind of like their chicken’s wings.

His love language is acts of service and words of affirmation. Which, is a little sad if you think about it, because no one ever really asks him for anything, instead he’s normally the one depending on someone else. But with Tango it’s a pretty even push and pull, meaning he gets to help Tango out too (and stop feeling like such a burden)

He does things with Tango as often as he can, because they died when they were apart, and if they're together a creeper can't sneak up on them again, right? (please. i want them to win so so badly)

How do the others feel about the Mafia AU crazy sisters?

Well Vespers offered to escort Maggie to her one and only visit of her siblings when they were locked up. Geeze he needed a drink after that.

Vespers sees them as a threat to really anyone. A little vigilante work never hurt. Juno views it more as Maggie was still a member of the family in her own way, and the family is supposed to take care of each other.

Magpie spent much of Maggie’s childhood helping the little redhead deal with night terrors and panic attacks. She did take Maggie to therapy. She looking forward to sending a bullet through both their skulls.

Bridgette placed a price on their heads a very long time ago for what they did to their family. Her other great-grandchildren and granddaughter.

But they’re all asking how in the world they got out?

Jack knows....

OOGH.... i think everyone on earth is weak for this tbh. as long as it's decently written im into it. im not always a fan of the "pissing off the parents" variation because that can get... uncomfortable and depressing fast. i REALLY love it when the party that's being fooled (parents, friends, etc) just LOVE the "significant other." man... it's so good...hm. in penumbra we already GOT one, god bless, but id love to see more of duke and dahlia rose where the cover lasts longer. there's a really good series on ao3 about juno meeting ALL of nureyev's shown aliases. very good. but more is always good... an idea that just popped into my head is established-relationship-au jupeter collabing on a cover in order to investigate a Bad Guy but also steal his illbegotten riches. juno agrees to it because it's for a good cause, he guesses, and nureyev just LOVES the drama. and he's missed working with juno, truly.kurofai... actually having to act like a couple for their cover story in either a pre-tokyo or post-canon world. pre-relationship of course. fai beating himself up over it. kurogane being a bit surprised over how easy it is to be fai's doting boyfriend. fai being surprised at how good kurogane is at this and beating himself up MORE over how much he's enjoying this. fai was the one that jokingly mentioned the idea, but mokona and/or the kids seized on it and now they are there. and if it's pre-tokyo it ends with fai running away from ever mentioning it again and kurogane becomimg further in his resolve to keep fai alive, because he wants to see what fai is like when he's in love for real.pre-canon killian/carey being vigilante mercenaries is PERFECT for this. god bless.

Before Jornoth and Fh started dating Xornoth would jokingly flirt with Jimmy to piss Scott off because "You know I like him you like Joey why are you flirting with MY crush you asshole!?!?!!!"

they'd be sat in the study area/wherever they do work in the school and scott would say something to xornoth, and they'd just be like. ok. and go start flirting with jimmy

scott can do nothing but watch (read: glare) at them as they do it. jimmy thinks scott is glaring at him

Jimmy couldn't come up with a name so he just wrote "The Sheriff" and planned to come back to it later. It's a running joke at this point

Pix is the dm and he spends hours on figures

Hermes (Joel and Sausage's kid) is a little kid they both baby sit that wanted to join so they made them a little character sheet and they get to help Pix give artifacts and stuff

sometimes i think about my vigilante au. and how i might never get around to writing a proper thing for it, but it was fun while it lasted and it was something that i loved doing while i did it
