As much as I'm grateful for all the races now being on the FE app/website, why did they have to edit them??? It says full race but I feel like I'm watching highlights because they've cut all the safety car/red flags out

God the horror genre. Is so many things.

#AUGHh its so frusterating cuz like i feel like horror has such a potential as a genre to be worked into one that highlights opression #instead of feeding into it and there are def horror movies coming out and that have come out that tackle their themes in a way that works #not to endorse the fear of outsiders or the unknown but instead the fear of what is very well known but often ignored #but like ok so slashers right? I love a good slasher n the genre has so many really good movies but then you get movies like sleepaway camp #which are just. SO entrenched in transmisogynist ideas and queerphobia that its just like. yikes.#and then you have books like dracula and cosmic horror stuff by lovecraft and both the book and that author in speciifc feed into horror as #a genre of hatred where the 'unknown' is whats to be feard and the fear of the unknown too quickly leads into the fear of queerness or #different cultures or races #into bigotry #like i know dracula is big but as someone who read the book and wrote an essay on it. it is so important to acknowledge the copious amounts #of bigotry and misogyny and hatred that stoker wrote into that novel #ITS JUST god i love horror so much but there are just. some films that will never appeal to me cuz i just cant get over the hurdles of #intense hatred #like i could watch all of Halloween because of the amount of ableism like #also to be clear: it was a blind watch my parents are both pastors lol they werent sitting me down to watch slashers in my infancy and ive #only recently started going through and watching a lot of the 'classic' horror films #its fun! ive been having fun most have dated moments but god the first halloween film was rough #still wondering how that kid from middle school who's parents hated gay people and were like conservative catholics were chill with their #like 12 year old son watching a bunch of horror movies #n i couldnt even get my hands on one if i wanted to

As I sit here, starting my workday, I've realised an element as to way the races are getting boring these days.

Apart from the fact that the rbr car is potentially illegal, these Pirelli tyres are too hard.

Stay with me. Sure, they making the warming blankets cooler to have the teams require proper temperature on track, but it's resulting in the most boring strategies.

Bring back the 2, 3 stop races that really require some thought as to when to bring drivers into the pit. It also prevents things like what happened last week where Hulk and Este able to do the race on 45+ lap old tyres before pitting because they had to due to a rule

Bring back the hypersofts, stop going to track where the soft tyre is not a viable option due to graining and melting.

commented on a gymnastics video about how it was a shame that the international broadcast for yesterday's world championship women's finals didn't show julia soares' from brazil solo because i loved it (i watched the brazilian broadcast that did show it), she did so well especially considering she had just fallen off the beam, she aced it and helped give confidence back to the whole team and then linked to the only youtube video i could find for it. and then a middle aged slightly butch woman replied with "thank you dear, i'm going to watch it. big hug!"

what i'm getting at is that my rizz is off the charts women love me

#lmao but i did find it heart warming like thank you middle aged kind of butch woman <3 #also the final was insane like i watched most of it literally trembling feeling my heart race #i was rooting so so so hard for brazil and i cried a little when we won silver #we had never won a teams world medal!! ever!!#and our athletes have been through so much: rebeca flavinha and jade especially #like jade is 32!! she won her first (out of now three) world medal 16 years ago! there was a gymnast from another country that wasn't born!#and she got hurt last olympic cycle and only just came back!! acing her vault at 32!!!#and flavinha had never won a world medal despite being one of the current best!! she was always away for medical reasons or extremely unluc #and rebeca god rebeca had 3 ucls!!! and she came back won two olympic medals last olympics and of course did awesome yesterday #current 2nd best in the world only behind simone biles who is simone biles like she's just in a category of her own #shout out to team france too the last time they had won was in 1950 and they qualified at 7th so they really weren't expecting bronze #but the girls gave their all and especially mdjds absolutely aced it like that beam performance was beautiful and under so much pressure!!#anyway i'm not gonna pretend that i follow gymnastics that closely #but whenever i know there's international events finals i like to watch if i can or at least the highlights #it's such an incredible and jaw dropping sport and the women's especially is so beautiful #plus brazil solos always so fun with good music choice and actual dancing in the choreo #daiane dos santos with brasileirinho changed lives #my post

I want organizations and people who speak w power, who will be heard

To do so in a way that includes the voices and needs of those most vulnerable within their larger community

And it feels impossible!! To achieve that! For 100 reasons.

And it feels so hurtful when people fall short, because it FEELS like so much more of the country is doing so out of maliciousness rather than ignorance every day.

And I think what I'm really terrified of is that despite all the "majority of poll voters on the internet don't agree w this" headlines and the people who DO talk explicitly about what's going on and who it will hurt the most... I'm most afraid that the 2024 elections will reveal that most people really want so many people dead at any cost
